*****163,000 Level 1 Buy cowhides from the Grand Exchange (for 212 coins each) and tan them into leather at the tanner in Varrock, using the Grand Exchange because it is nearby.

  • Although the official price for selling leather is 304 coins, there are so many players selling it that it’s difficult to get much more than the minimum price of 190 coins.
  • Killing the cows and gathering the hides yourself (instead of buying them) gives more profit but much less experience per hour.

Level 1 Buy black robes and blue dye from the Grand Exchange, use the dye on the robes and sell the resulting wizard robes. You only make 104 coins profit per robe, but you can do this so quickly that the resulting profit can be good.

  • Sometimes blue dye is scarce on the Grand Exchange and you can wait a long time to purchase the desired quantities of it.
  • The best method for this is to first purchase equal numbers of black robes and blue dyes, empty your inventory, then withdraw 13 black robes, 13 blue dyes, and then 1 more of each - this sets your inventory so that there is one dye and one robe in the bottom-right corner. To dye the robes, click on the blue dye and then the black robe in the bottom-right corner; the actual dying will be performed on the first available dye and robe in your inventory, leaving the two in the bottom-right corner unmoved. Only dye 13 of them, leaving the two in the bottom right, deposit the 13 wizard robes then repeat the process (withdrawing 13 of each this time) - this lets you limit your mouse motion to one small area as you switch between clicking on the blue dye and clicking on the black robe. A loop of 13 wizard robes takes as little as 27 seconds. There isn’t a “dye all” option so you must click for each robe you want to dye.
  • The range of profit is dependant on the size of your initial investment; you can only reach the maximum effectiveness if you have a full 2,067,200 coins available initially - this allow you to purchase 1,600 black robes and blue dyes at one time, and as a result can spend most of your time dying robes. If instead you have a smaller investment, you will spend most of your time buying & selling (which does not generate profit).
  • Note: The wizard robe market is somewhat unstable and is currently in a slump, so that profits may fluctuate within time periods of less than a week. It is useful to use the Runescape Grand Exchange Page to maximize profit.
Level 5 Buy Gold bars and one Ring mould from the Grand Exchange, and run to the Furnace in Al Kharid and smelt how many gold rings you would like, and sell them at the Grand Exchange at minimum price. You will then make 85 coins profit on each ring that you smelt, while getting 15 Crafting experience for each ring.
Level 8 Buy Gold bars and one Amulet mould from the Grand Exchange, and run to the Furnace in Al Kharid and smelt how many gold amulets you would like, and sell them at the Grand Exchange at minimum price. You will then make 112 coins profit on each amulet that you smelt, while getting 30 Crafting experience for each amulet. This method is good for training and money making. Note: Gold Bars buy quickly and Gold Amulets sell very quickly, so expect a quick and easy profit.

Most people see player-vs-player as a way to show off their skills to the world, but there are easy ways to earn a profit during that process. Please note that this is a brief guide detailing how to make money while pking. It does not detail strategies, builds, or items to take/equip but rather how to make money. PvP and Bounty Hunter Worlds are arguably the most dangerous places in Runescape. Do not underestimate the importance of experience’ when pking, ask a veteran pker to help you before you attempt anything in this guide!

Drop Determining Variables

The most important variable in determining the value of the drops you get in PvP is your Earning Potential, or EP. EP ranged from 0 to 100%, with the best drops coming at 100%. In order to get EP faster, stand in a Hot Zone it will only go to 100% while in a hot zone, indicated on the map by the burning skull at the bottom left corner of the game screen while risking 25K (75K in Member’s Worlds). It is important to have around 50% EP when player killing or drops will prove to be undervalued compared to your opponent’s loss.
Even with high EP, sometimes rare drops will prove to be illusive. This is generally true because the person has a very low Death Potential, or DP. Although DP has not been confirmed by Jagex, there is extensive evidence connection the loss of wealth while pking to better drops. While this does not guarantee rare drops, it may be a good idea to get rid of any junk while pking, as your return will generally be much higher than your loss. Remember, this does not always work. Also, even if it does work, that added boost to your drops may be spread out over a number of kills. As such, you should not lose anything you could easily sell otherwise, or would normally use to fight in PvP. Only dispose of items that you have no use for, and it would not hurt you to lose.
While trying to gain EP on a Bounty Hunter world you may be assigned a Target. Targets are assigned based on your target potential, which is displayed in the upper right hand corner of the game screen. Targets are very useful because in the event that you kill your target, the resulting drop will be calculated with an added 50% EP. Also, even if your target is not risking 25K you will get a good drop. These two bonuses make targets very useful and a key part to making profit by PKing (player killing).
One final part of the drop value calculator is combat level. This is not a major factor, but it is significant enough that the change in drops over 50 combat levels is very noticeable. Jagex did this in order to stop Real World Trading, with the theory being that high level accounts would not be affiliated with gold selling companies, as they prefer disposable low level accounts rather than valuable, hard to create high level accounts. Although there is nothing you can do about your combat level besides train, it is something to take into consideration; if you are a level 50 you may want to consider making the push to level 60 to increase your profitability. As a rule of thumb, players 55 combat and above should be able to make a profit.

[edit] Combining The Variables

To this point, four major factors in determining your PvP drops have been listed and explained: EP, Risk, DP, Targets, and Combat Level. Now comes the important part- combining all of these factors to make a profit while pking. This is quite simple to do. Quite simply, never agree to a fight while under 50% EP unless it is a target, always risk, PK on a Bounty Hunter world if possible, and suicide with any junk you accumulate along the way.

This guide is for making money from Combat-involved skills, as a Free Player.

As a general rule, pick a strategy that can easily be done without food or using minimal food. Remember that food costs money and/or time to cook, and that has to be accounted for whenever using Combat-related skills to earn money.bt no

Players with less money can fish or farm the food by themselves, while players with more money can buy food at the Grand Exchange. Tuna is good for consuming when low on cash, as it has a low cost for the amount of Hitpoints it heals, although swordfish are better when fighting high-levelled monsters (for those who have more money to spare).

Part of making money through Combat involves the speed at which players can kill the monsters themselves. Wear the best equipment you can when doing this, and you can sell old equipment to help pay for the cost of new items, if need be.

The following list details monsters that do not require a Slayer (a skill which can only be accessed by members) level to fight or kill. For making money with Slayer please direct your attention to this article.

Effectiveness (coins per hour) Recommended combat level Details
***** NoneYou can kill Al-Kharid guards for bones, and deposit them in the bank nearby. Lootshare can be used while a friendly higher-levelled player in your clan kills things that you yourself can’t kill, while you just pick up and sell the drops. Make sure you stay within 18 steps of the monster your Friend is killing, and make sure that you are in a multi-combat area. This will ensure that you get half the drops. Make sure you get permission from the higher-levelled player or players, as they will likely leave the Clan Chat if they think you are stealing drops off of them. Some good monsters for this are Barbarians, Cockroach workers and Cockroach soldiers, as they have fair drops, but are not aggressive.
***** None Chickens can be killed in Lumbridge farms, or in the farm south of Falador. The raw chickens and regular bones sell for about 160 and 152 coins each. They also commonly drop 5 or 15 feathers that sell for 15 coins each and are used for fly fishing. Members often come to the chicken area’s in free worlds to buy feathers for fletching or power fishing in Shilo Village. This idea of killing chickens was used commonly while Runescape was first started. There is enough room in your inventory to keep one stack of feathers, 14 raw chickens, and 13 bones. You can bury the bones of the first chicken you kill for prayer experience.
***** None Cows can be killed in the Lumbridge cow fields. Cowhides sell for around 212 coins each to crafters and you can bury or sell the bones. Raw meat from the cows sell for 153 coins each, but also can be used to gain Cooking experience. You can also tan cowhides into leather, which sell for around 304 coins each, or hardleather, which sell for 301 coins each. This is a good idea for new players to get started, but members are recommended to tan it into leather or hardleather and gain xp with crafting. There is also another cow field just north-west of Lumbridge Castle, north-east of Draynor Village. There is a male NPC in the cow field called Beefy Bill who will bank your raw beef and cowhides for you. There is, however, a catch. He requires that you give him 10% of what you wish to bank. Another downside, is that you cannot request him to bank anything except for raw beef and cowhides. Despite the downsides, this is much easier than using the Lumbridge cow field, as it is much easier to bank your raw beef and cowhides. For maximum profits, bones and raw beef can also be picked up and sold to the grand exchange, which means more bank trips and lesser experience, but more cash per hour.
***** Level 20 Wizards found in the Wizard’s Tower drop wizard robes, which sell for around 1,396 coins each in the Grand Exchange. The robes can be banked close by at the Draynor bank. They also occasionally drop water talismans, which can be sold at 6,280 coins each as for now.
***** Level 20 Cockroach drones found in the Stronghold of Player Safety can drop air, water or fire runes, noted coal (two at a time) which sell for 266 coins each, Limpwurt roots at 2,680 coins each, Red spiders’ eggs sold at 372 coins each and uncut gems from sapphire to diamond. The loot can be sold at the nearby Grand Exchange and each full inventory sells about 45k. Each inventory can take about an hour to collect or less.
***** Level 20 In PvP worlds, you can fight and loot other players to try to earn the best drops. Lower levels can also gather bones from PvP worlds and sell them for 152gp each. This is not recommended for higher levels as the higher your level, the greater chance of being attacked. If you are PvPing for drops, you must risk at least 26,000 coins worth of items (76,000 coins for members), not including protected items.
***** Level 35 Hill giants in the Edgeville Dungeon are a common training/money making monster, as they drop big bones, which sell for around 638 coins each. They occasionally drop limpwurt roots, which sell for about 2,680 coins each. Hill giants also have low Defence so they are not difficult to kill. They rarely drop nature runes and death runes A down side of this method is that Hill Giants are normally very busy on F2P Worlds.
***** Level 41 Dark Wizards are a good source of money as they frequently drop runes. Look for them immediately south of Varrock in the stone circle and just north of Goblin village in the Wilderness, which the former one is usually busy and the other one is at a few level wilderness, so take caution in either way. Players with less than 41 combat should be aware of aggressiveness of the dark wizards.
***** Level 45 Hobgoblins found in the Edgeville Dungeon can be killed for limpwurt roots, goblin mail, some coins, bones and gems. Alternatively, you could go to the peninsula near the crafting guild where loads of hobgoblins wander about. Usually uncrowded in most worlds, this spot is good experience, and a lot of casual money. Limpwurt roots sell for 2,680, and are quite a common drop from the level 28 Hobgoblins. Each bank trip with 28 limpwurt roots results in about 75040 coins. The advantages are uncrowded environment, good experience award, acceptable drops, and being close to a bank.
***** Level 50 Moss giants can be killed in Varrock sewers. They have several good drops, including law runes, gems and big bones (Ranarr seeds for members). This area may be less crowded on PvP worlds, but if you play on one of these worlds, watch out for player killers. If you’ve completed the map for Dragon Slayer you can also fight the moss giants on Crandor Isle. You can also fight lv. 53 ice giants south of port salim these drop money and big bones and give lots of xp but you will have to bring good food.
***** Level 60+ (group)Level 70+ (solo) (65+ def recommended,if you want to be damaged less) Cockroach soldiers can be killed in the Stronghold of Player Safety for the valuable items they drop, including various rune equipment. These can be sold or converted into coins through High Level Alchemy. This is a very good profit for free-players. Note that power-fishers nearby (east Barbarian Village spots) drop salmon and trout if you are low on health or run out of food. Log on into a world with a higher population if you see none. Or, if there isn’t anyone, you can go to the Monastery, and talk to the monks. They heal life points depending on your prayer level per talk, and it requires no money. Keep in mind, though, that Cockroach soldiers have a VERY HIGH defense, and are not recommended for lower-leveled players.
***** Level 80 Greater demons. In the wilderness volcano, there are plenty of greater demons which drop an even wider variety of rune items than the cockroach soldiers. These include rune chainbodies, full helms, and platelegs. However, players using this method should look out for player killers (if they are in PVP or bounty world) there are very few revenants that roam the area.

Effectiveness Cooking level Requirement Details Other Requirements
10,000 coins per hour***** Level 1 In an area where players are killing cows, pick up raw beef left on the ground and cook it on a range. Raw beef is rarely taken from the drops due to the fact that cowhides and bones are more effective for making money. Cooked meat, in addition to giving Cooking experience, sells for 63 coins each.
***** Level 4 and up Another money-making method is making chocolate dust. Chocolate dust is made from a chocolate bar and a knife. You use the knife on the chocolate bar and it makes chocolate dust. Using this method, you make 23 coins profit per chocolate bar. This is not the best money making method, but it only takes four game ticks (2.4 seconds) to make 1 chocolate dust.
***** Level 40 Quick money can be gained if players is brave enough to buy cheap pizza bases from Fat Tony in Bandit’s Camp in Level 20 wilderness. They should bring nothing but 50 coins and travel from the Wilderness Volcano, fend off bandits, and finally they can reach his base. After buying them for 5 each, for a total of 10 (Tony’s maximum stock) players can travel back to safe places to make uncooked pizzas with cheese and tomatoes attained through respawn points in Aggie or Tony’s house, or buying them at the Grand Exchange. Uncooked pizzas currently sells for 1,649 coins each. However, the limit of this method is the restock rate of Tony’s pizza bases which is very slow, so world-switching may be necessary. Combat 15
***** Level 45 You can make some money and experience by cooking pizzas, albeit it might take a while. Purchase flour, tomatoes, Jugs of water and cheese off of the Grand Exchange for 357 coins. Alternately, acquire them on your own using any method you prefer.Even if you burn a few pizzas, you can still turn a profit as the number of cooked pizzas generally exceeds that of burnt ones. Ordinary pizzas sell for 1,663 each, with the end-profit being 1,306 coins each per cooked plain pizza.

Adding cooked meat only results in a marginal increase of profit, which is why it’s not recommended to upgrade to meat pizzas and sell, as it takes extra time (but can earn you 26 experience points more per pizza).

***** Level 55 and up Another money-making method is upgrading previously cooked pizzas. At the Grand Exchange, buy plain pizza and anchovies, combine them, and sell the anchovy pizzas back for a profit of 101 coins. This may not seem like much, but considering how little time it takes to add anchovies to one pizza (players can make 14 pizzas in about 30 seconds), you can easily make 170,000 coins per hour. 39 Cooking experience is also received for every anchovy pizza you upgrade in this fashion, resulting in around 65,520 experience per hour. However, it is very difficult to buy the raw ingredients as they are not in high supply yet receive high demand (most likely due to this article).Lately, however, this method has not been as useful due to the Personalised Shops update, making plain pizzas almost worth more than anchovy pizzas! More recently, though, anchovy pizzas are seeing a steady recovery and soon will be much more profitable than topping pizzas normally and selling.

For Runescape Official News:

Someone new has moved to Pollnivneach and, by some twist of fate, they are not called Ali! This strange new neighbour is called Sumona, and she has lost something very valuable in the depths of the Pollnivneach well. Mighty rewards are on offer for anyone willing to return what she has misplaced.

Meanwhile, eery wails and vile stenches seem to be pervading the streets. This may be unlucky for the Pollnivneach tourist trade, but at least there is something in it for adventurous types. In fact, they may be turned to one’s advantage when dealing with the mixed bag of unpleasantness beneath Pollnivneach…

With potentially epic, if unspecified, Slayer rewards on offer, this is a venture best-suited to those who risk their lives for curiosity. Let’s hope that curiosity is better for them than it is for cats.

Where to start Smoking Kills:

Talk to Sumona in Pollnivneach

Requirements to complete Smoking Kills:

Level 35 Slayer
Level 85 Combat

In other news…

We have introduced two new worlds for those who prefer to chat, or be chatted to, with Quick Chat. The worlds are 160 and 161. Conventional chat may not be used on these worlds - they are for Quick Chat users only.

NOTE - We would like to remind players that we have absolutely NO intention of removing free chat from the game, either now or in the future. Quick Chat is designed to be an optional alternative to normal chat.

Quick Chat users can now chat to their friends on FunOrb, and vice versa. Simply select a friend from your Friends List and then choose what you want to say from the ‘General’ and/or ‘Inter-game’ menus within Quick Chat.

We have made efforts to stop the strange ‘dancing’ effect that occurs when fighting monsters on the same square as you. You should find that, instead of moving from side to side, you find a more suitable position to attack the monster from.

Dragon square shields have been updated, thanks to observant players who noted that its two halves wouldn’t make a square!

Getting the Varrock Armor in RuneScape is somewhat time consuming, especially if you want to get the Varrock 3 set. Yes, like some other RuneScape armor sets, there are three different levels of Varrock Armor. The steps outlined below list how to get the first level of Varrock Armor.

Completing the Varrock Achievement Diary
Complete the following requirements to finish the Varrock Achievement Diary. You can do some of these in any order, although you will need to complete step 1 to begin the diary quest.

1.) Speak to Rat Burgiss (south of Varrock), Reldo (Varrock Castle), or Vannaka (Edgeville dungeon). Ask any of them what the achievement diary is.
2.) Go to Thessalia in Varrock and ask her what different outfits your character can wear.

3.) Visit Aubury’s Rune Shop and have him teleport you to the essence mine.
4.) Mine iron ore south-east of Varrock
5.) Create a plank using the sawmill. You will need a plain set of logs and 100 gold.
6.) Visit the Stronghold of Security and go down to the second level.
7.) Leap the fence just to the west of Rat Burgiss.
8.) Go to the Lumber Yard and cut down a dying tree.
9.) Buy the Varrock Herald for 50 gold from Benny.
10.) Give a bone to any of the dogs in VArrock
11.) Create a bowl on the pottery wheel and fire it in the oven in the Barbarian Village (you must be in the village).
12.) Go to Edgeville Dungeon via the entrance located south of Edgeville.

13.) Speak to the Varrock estate agent and have him more your house portal. This will cost 5,000 gold and you must already own a house.
14.) Obtain 50 kudos and then talk to Haig Halen, the Varrock museum curator.
15.) Use an earth talisman or tiara to visit the Earth Altar.
16.) Visit Varrock’s church and offer Elsie a cup of tea. Listen to her story.
17.) Mine limestone near the Paterdomus temple east of Varrock.
18.) Go to the river located to the east of the Barbarian Village. Fish until you catch a trout.
19.) Go through the Varrock Sewers until you find a web and then slash it.
20.) Go to the highest point in the city of Varrock by going up to the Church’s third floor.
21.) Return to Rat Bugiss

Conclusion
That’s all it takes to get the Varrock Armor 1 set. If you lose it, just speak to Rat again and he will give you another set. The armor gives you better discounts from Varrock merchants, gives you the chance of mining two ores at once while mining, and gives you the chance of smelting two bars instead of one when smelting. Once you have the Varrock Armor 1, you can then begin the next list of tasks to get the Varrock Armor 2 and then Varrock Armor 3.

Raising your crafting level in RuneScape is very important if you want to make a good amount of gold in the game. This is because crafting allows you to make a number of different items that can both help you advance in the game and can be sold for money to other players. There are a number of different types of crafts in the game.

RuneScape Crafting

Pottery

Pottery is a good craft for beginners since it’s simple and rewards you with a good amount of experience. It’s also a good skill if you enjoy cooking since you can create items to hold your ingredients. To start learning pottery, you need clay from the West Varrock mine and a jug from a general store. Fill the jug with water and mix it with the clay to make soft clay. Now go to the Barbarian Village and find a pottery wheel. Use it and the pottery oven to make items like pots, pie dishes, bowls, plant pots, and pot lids.

RuneScape Pottery

Leather Working

If your character uses leather armor, you can take up leather working and make your own. While it requires a bit more of an investment than pottery, leather working can earn you a nice amount of gold.

To start leatherworking, you need cow hides from the cows near Lumbridge. You’ll then need to buy some needles and thread (each will allow you to make four leather items). Then head to the tanner in Al Kharid to make leather from the hides. Once you have that, you can create gloves, boots, cowls, vambraces, chaps, and body armor. Note that some leather armor can only be made by members.

Jewelry

Making jewelry is a bit more advanced than pottery and leatherworking, but it is also much more profitable. You can create gems, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and amulets via jewelry.

RuneScape Rimmington

To get started, you’ll need to visit the crafting shop in either Rimmington or Al Kharid to get some basic items. You’ll also need to make gold or silver bars. Once you’ve made these bars, you can melt them down and pour them into moulds to make items.

You can also purchase a chisel and cut gemstones to add to your jewelry. After you’ve created an item using the furnace, you’ll have the option to add gems. This makes the item more powerful (and valuable). Before you can add a gem to an item, you’ve got to cut it. Available gems include opals, sapphire, emeralds, and rubies.

Weaving

Weaving allows members to create different containers to carry around their produce. To create items, simply use the loom located at Sarah’s Farming Shop. You’ll need wool to make strips of cloth, jute fibers to create vegetable sacks, and willow branches to make fruit baskets.

Glassmaking

Glassmaking is a good way to increase your experience early in the game since all the ingredients are on the island. You’ll need seaweed, a bucket of sand, and a glassblowing pipe. Buy a bucket from the general store so you can collect sand. Then go to Entrana and search the shores for seaweed (or go fish in Catherby with a big net).

RuneScape Glassmaking

Once on Etrana, you’ll find your glassblowing pipe in one of the houses in the north. You can then use the stove in this house to produce soda ash from seaweed. Then use the bucket of sand at the furnace to make molten glass. Once you’ve got these two items, you can use the pipe to make different things like lamps, vials, and orbs.

In RuneScape, pure essence is a rune essence that can be mined by member players. The reason pure essence is often in demand is because it can be used to make any type of rune available, giving players a lot of flexibility when it comes to runescape crafting. However, to mine pure essence, a player has to have at least level 30 mining. While only members can mine it from the rune essence mines, it can be traded to players who only have a free account. Players will receive five mining experience points per each pure essence they mine.

Steps to Mining Pure Essence

How can you get started mining pure essence? Well, there are a few easy steps. First, as noted above, you must have a full membership to RuneScape because access to the rune essence mines is restricted to members. You also need to purchase a pickaxe so you can mine.

The first step is to get out there and mine until your character gets to at least level 30 mining. Otherwise, you won’t be able to mine pure essence.

The Runescape Mysteries Quest
Next, you need to do the Rune Mysteries quest. If you can’t teleport, this quest will take a bit of time. First, you have to go to Lumbridge Castle and get the air talisman from Duke Horacio. Take it to the Wizard’s Tower near Draynor Village and give it to Wizard Sedridor in the basement. He then gives you a research package to take to Aubury, who lives in Varrock.

Aubury will want you to take his notes back to Wizard Sedridor, so it’s back to Draynor Village. Return to the basement and hand him the notes. He will give you the air talisman again and teach you the runecrafting ability.

Return to Aubury
Now that you’ve completed the quest, you have to return to Aubury’s rune shop to start making runes. Aubury will teleport you to the icy caverns where you can mine pure essence. This is where your patience will be tested—you’ll spend a lot of time mining here, so get used to your surroundings. You’ll find the pattern goes like this:

» mine pure essences until your inventory is full
» use the portal to return to town
» dump all your pure essences into the bank
» return to the mine and get back to work!

What to Do with Pure Essences
If you do a lot of rune crafting, you’ll need many pure essences to fuel your crafting. Pure essence can create blood, cosmic, chaos, death, law, and nature runes, which standard essence cannot create.

However, if you’re looking to make some gold, pure essence goes for around 120 gold on the grand exchange. This is a great way to make some quick gold if you don’t mind investing some work.

Tips on Mining Pure Essences
» Empty as much of your inventory as possible so you can carry more.

» Purchase pouches to carry more essences.

» Level your mining to 41 and obtain a rune pick axe. This axe allows you to mine more quickly.

One of the more powerful melee weapons in the world of RuneScape is Dharok’s greataxe. It is a part of the Dharok the Wretched’s set of equipment and requires both an attack and strength of 70 to use. When equipped, the greataxe provides the fifth highest strength bonus available in the game and the second highest crush bonus. On the downside, it is a very slow weapon with a speed similar to a two handed sword. This means your opponents are going to get in several hits for each one of yours. Its incredible attach power and crushing attacks, however, make up for this.

Note that Dharok’s Greataxe cannot be made via smithing. It, like all of the Dharok’s set, can only be won from the Barrow’s mini-game.

Requirements:
Must be a member
Must have Strength of 70
Must have an Attack power of 70

Bonuses:
Strength: +105
Crush: +95
Stab: -4
Magic: -4
Ranged: -1
Speed: fairly slow

Use in Conjunction with the Full Dharok’s Set

If equipped as a part of the full Dharok set, players may hit in the high 90s, and some have reported hitting for as much as 110 damage per swing. When wielded with the rest of the set, players also gain access to a special attack. As the player’s hit points decrease, the damage caused by Dharok’s Greataxe increases. When a player is at ten percent of their max health or lower, the weapon will actually do double damage—up to 112 damage points.

Note that when doing the White Guthix Sleeps quest, a character’s abilities will be increased to 255. While this would allow for Dharok’s Greataxe to hit for over 270 damage, the player’s hit points are automatically restored to 255 whenever they get damaged. This means that the player will never get down to ten percent of health, so the greataxe will never do this huge amount of damage.

Degrading

As with all weapons, Dharok’s Greataxe will degrade over time. It will eventually drop from 100 percent to 75 with use, then degrade farther. To repair it, you must visit the Tindel Merchant located in Port Khazard or go to Bob’s Axes in Lumbridge. The price to fix the greataxe will depend on how much it degraded. To repair it from zero will cost 100,000 gold.

Uses of Dharok’s Greataxe

Many woodcutters equip the axe along with the Woodcutting skill cape to both show off their high level woodcutting skill and to look similar to the Woodcutting Tutor character. Note, however, that the greataxe can’t actually be used to cut down trees.

Dharok’s Greataxe is also a favorite weapon for use when battling the TzHaar-Ket and the TzHaar-Xil in the city of TzHaar because of its high strength bonus.

Graphic Updates to the Greataxe

When Dharok’s Greataxe was first introduced to the game, the character held it over his/her shoulder. Then this was changed to holding it with both hands. Then the greataxe was changed back to being held over the shoulder. Due to changing the graphics several times, the weapon actually glitched for a time. During this time, it was held more like the Dragon Longsword.

Changing your stats in RuneScape is no easy feat, especially if you want to do it legally. There are various programs out there that will allow you to change your RuneScape stats as well, plus there are some services that will actively play your character for you.

The Best Way of Changing Your Stats
The best way of changing your character’s stats in the magical world of RuneScape is simply to play the game. As you defeat enemies and accomplish tasks, your character will gain experience and levels. This will naturally make your character more powerful and up his or her stats.

RuneScape is, when it’s all said and done, a game. By skipping over gaining levels and experience, you’re missing out on the key element of RuneScape. The main goal of the game isn’t getting to the highest level or maximum stats but to enjoy playing.

Using a Stat Adjustment Program
However, if you want to max out your stats without actually doing any of the work, you can download a RuneScape stat changer. Generally, you have to purchase these programs, and they’re usually a bit on the pricy side. Once you’ve downloaded them, they give you the ability to hack into the RuneScape server and change your character’s stats to whatever you want.

One very important thing to know about these programs is that many of them include viruses and other harmful things. You should run a virus scanner immediately after downloading the program to make certain there’s nothing harmful hidden in it. Even if the scan turns up negative, be very cautious when using illegal programs like stat changers.

Also note that the Jagex staff (the creators of RuneScape) do not approve of stat changers and will ban your account if they discover you using one.

Allowing Others to Play Your Character
Another way of getting your character’s stats up is to pay another person to play your account. Like the stat changing programs, you can find these services on various websites. However, note that you must give these other players your RuneScape user name and password. This gives them full access to your account, and you never know what they’re going to do. Some may actually level your character, but others may scam you.

Sometimes, these services will level your character to a certain level, while other times you can specify which stats you want increased. Either way, be certain that nothing bad has happened to your account, and immediately change your password after your character’s stats have been increased.

Again, using a stat changing service is just as illegal as using a stat changing program, and Jagex will ban your account if they discover that you’ve done this.

Don’t Risk It
As you can see, the two “easy” ways of gaining stats in RuneScape both carry huge risks. Stat changing programs can infect your computer with many harmful viruses, while hiring other people to play your character can result in your character’s gold and gear being stolen. Both also bring up the risk of having your account banned.

If you truly want to increase your character’s stats, simply play the game. It doesn’t cost you extra money, nor is there any risk to your computer or character.
