We’d like to remind everyone who’s interested in trying out RuneScape Classic, but has not yet logged in since it was re-opened , that the opportunity to do so will only be available for one more week. Only those members that log into Classic (using their normal username and password) before the end of Tuesday 24th November will be able to continue playing it after this date.

You can access RuneScape Classic here.

RuneScape Classic is the predecessor to the current RuneScape game. It was closed to new members over four years ago, but we want for players to be able to try out this important part of our history. We also have potential further plans for Classic (as discussed in this blog), so another reason for this re-opening is to see how many people are interested.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss this, please visit this forum thread.

There was some tough competition this year from the likes of Lionhead Studios and Rockstar North, but, in the end, Jagex was voted as the UK Games Developer of the Year.

We’d like to thank everybody who voted for us – we couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our players. We’ll continue to work hard and do all we can to try to live up to this prestigious award.

Many thanks to you all!

A fully planned and applied scheme to training mining and smithing on Runescape.

Use them before they rust!

We Runescape players are totally nuts about mining and smithing. True - can anyone deny that? But the thing is that it isn’t at all easy to train them when you may be allowed to play for, say, 2 hours a day? So what we do is rush into search engines and type stuff like “Free Runescape ores” and “Auto-mining and smithing autobots”. But most of them either steal the password or they don’t work at all. C’mon, you can’t deny that. So, to train mining and smithing faster, what can be done?

Most people then give up the once-dreamt-about mining and smithing skills. Of course, not that you can spend no time and yet achieve high levels. But one must utilize time and not waste it.

Well, that’s what this article is all about. And if you think it wont work, try it out! That’s the only way to find out of course.

Level 1 - 14

At this stage money isn’t quite the thing to think about. All you need to do is focus. Say, you can try to increase 1 level per day. That is no trouble at all. Even more, you can train at least 5 levels at the start, that is, go right from level 1 to level 5 in the first day. Now the question is, where do I get my ores? Of course coming to that.

Being of low level, you can only mine some basic ores. So, go to the mines that are to the south of Varrock. There are always plenty of players there, so you can even chat with them while you mine. Once there, mine 14 tin and 14 copper ores (you need to have an empty inventory and your pickaxe must be wielded in your hand to do this). Then follow the road, northwards, to Varrock and store all your ores in the Eastern Bank.

Once you feel you have got enough ores, follow the same road southwards and go to the Al Kharid bank. Once there, take out 14 of each ore and smelt them in the furnace just next to the bank. Keep the smolten bronze in your bank and repeat to all your ores. Return to Varrock and smith them to bronze items. At low levels, you can keep smithing bronze scimitars.

Level 15 - 34

Now you get to mine iron, so do just that at the same mines as you did in lower levels. But once your combat level gets high, get going to fallador and use the dwarvean mines there. They are really a miner’s perfect treat. Moreover, Fallador is the ideal spot for mining and smithing training as it has a pickaxe shop, mines, a furnace and anvils. So get 28 iron ores every round in your inventory (once again, empty inventory and pickaxe in hand).

Store these ores in the Southern gate bank. Do this until you get the needed amount of ores. Now comes smelting, the most annoying part of iron smithing. This time, you can get a bar of iron from one ore itself (unlike bronze). But to get the maximum number of ores, click on 1 ore at a time and then click on the furnace, instead of clicking on the furnace, right clicking the “iron” option and clicking on “all”. Do this to all your ores.

Now get back to the dwarvean mines and use the anvils there to smith iron items. For level increase, I suggest smithing scimitars at level 20 and 2h swords at level 29.

Now, at level 30, the whole thing about mining and smithing becomes special because it is at this level that you can make steel out of mined coal and iron. And steel indirectly means money alongside Exp.!

If you feel mining is for money, then here’s your chance! Mine silver ores at the Al- Kharid mines (they’re called Desert Chasms) and smelt them at the furnace there (in Al-Kharid). Use them accordingly to earn money!

Level 35 Onwards

Now you can work wonders with your level in mining and smithing. Keep mining coal and iron side by side from the Fallador mines (Dwarvean mines). Smelt steel from them and keep making steel scimitars up till level 39. Then start making steel war hammers. They give hardcore Exp, and quality money (when sold). Keep this continuous till level 46 and once there, start making steel platelegs or plate skirts. They give you the same Exp. As a steel battleaxe but fetch you more money.

Even though you can further make mithril items from level 50, I suggest keeping steel platelegs/plate skirts going as for making mithril items, you’ll need mithril bars which require one mithril ore and 4 coal ore. This is not so easy when you haven’t got time in hand. Keep this going till level 59 and once there, make your mithril bars and then mithril war hammers. Repeat this till level 79 and then start making adamant items (adamant war hammer). Keep this going till level 93 and then make rune war hammers.

Keep this going and you’ll be level 99 in no time!

So there you are! Use you pickaxe and hammers before they rust. Of course, this will take some time but then it is much better than training the skills normally as this is a well planned and applied, fully working scheme. Follow it and reach what you had once dreamed!

Best of luck and happy mining and smithing!

Getting Started

To start, speak to Manni the Reveller, an ale-loving member of the Fremennik council.

He will give you a glass of beer (not needed for quest) and will ask you to invite Mawnis Burrowgar from Neitiznot and King Vargas from Miscellania for Chieftain Brundt’s birthday feast.

Talk to either of them. It does not matter to whom you speak since both will decline to visit as it is ‘a world of trouble’. You then should go and talk to Manni to find the reasons for this.

Speaking to Manni will result in a conversation with Brundt, which in turn will reveal why both Vargas and Mawnis are angry with him. At the same time you will find there is no love lost from Brundt’s side for them.

There is a cutscene as Brundt recollects his memories.

You find out Vargas, Mawnis, Nial Swiftfling, Asleif (the woman who was killed by the man in a bear suit from Mountain Daughter) and Brundt, went off adventuring but were defeated and ended up outside the Fishing Guild. Brundt and Mawnis argue with each other about the location of the tablet. Brundt suspects Mawnis of thievery and the scene ends.

Brundt wants you to find out who stole the prophecy tablet.

He will give you some incomplete directions to an ice cave: ‘Search the coast for unusual signs’.

Go talk to King Vargas who gives his memory of the story.

The four adventurers will find a monster. Whilst fighting it with his dragon long sword, Prince Vargas will be hit with some sort of magic or poison. The cursed Prince Vargas has no recollection of Nial Swiftfling fighting the monster, due to him ‘going off and killing himself somewhere’; at the same time he thinks Asleif did not help anyone.

After telling you his story he will add to the directions: ‘From Rellekka, head east’.

He also asks you to find a way to rid him of his yeti curse.

Go talk to Mawnis Burrowgar who gives his memory of the story.

The Gnoeal fires a green magic/goo attack at Nial. Aslief inquires if anyone is hurt and Mawnis says Vargas got a bit of it on him. Nial then turns into a yeti and attacks the Gnoeal. He kills it, but then attacks the party as he has gone out of his mind, and they flee.

He will give you some directions, ‘At the foot of the mountains, turn north across the ice’.

Remember to bring a pickaxe. Follow the directions you have to have a completed cave directions sheet to be able to find the cave. You will reach the polar hunting area. Keep heading north, ascend the stairs, and go to the northwest corner where you will see footprints. Right-click the footprints and inspect them to get a message saying they are from a large ape-like creature.

Follow the footprints until you reach the large ice block; inspect them again to get a message saying they seem to end at the ice block. Right-click on the ice block and choose “dig” to open the cave. Make sure you are ready to fight the level 156 Nial Swiftfling.

Turn on run, head directly to the south west corner, and go through the passageway. You will be running through a multi combat zone filled with aggressive Yetis and Gnoeals. Yetis attack with melee, and Gnoeals with range, so remember to bring enough food. When running through the outer room, using either Protect From Range or Protect From Melee is useful to minimize damage.

You will run into the level 156 Nial Swiftfling, as a Yeti. He uses ranged attacks if you are not in close proximity to him but will attack with melee when you melee him. If you attack melee style he will knock you back and hit for 15. With Range/Mage from a distance this won’t happen.

He Drops:

•Aslief’s Herb Pouch
•Nial’s Throwing Axe
•Yeti Hair
•Big Bones
•Unfinished Astral Rune
Near the entrance of the ice cave there is a scrap of paper which appears to be from an adventurer going through the yeti curse.

Go to the Mountain Camp. You need to take Aslief’s Herb Pouch and the Yeti hair, a plank, an empty vial, a pestle and mortar, 10 earth runes and 1 cosmic rune, and 1 clean irit. Take a pole from the goat pen. Go to the lake shore and climb the Tall Tree, use the pole to jump across the Clump of Rocks, and use the plank on the Flat Stone to cross the final gap.

Talk to Asleif by listening to the shining water. She tells you to make the yeti cure potion using her Diamond root and to take it to King Vargas.

Get the empty vial and use it on the spring. Use the clean irit on the vial. Use the pestle and mortar on the Diamond Root then enchant the Diamond Root by using enchant level 4 spell, use the Enchanted Diamond Root on the potion. Finally use the Yeti Hair on the potion to make a yeti curse cure.

Take the potion to King Vargas and, after drinking it, he will become human again, and agree to go to the feast.

Go to Brundt and talk to him about the rune. He remembers the Mysterious Mage (Baba Yaga) being with them. He will agree to go to the feast.

Head over to Jatizso and speak with Freygerd, Nial’s fiancé. You can find her wandering east of the anvil and weapons shop.

Tell her you have put Nial to rest and she will be relieved, but has a problem that she wants to move back to Neitiznot but cannot due to King Gjuki Sorvott IV imposing a hefty emigration tax.

Talk to the king and plead with him to remove the tax.

Give Freygerd Nial’s throwing axe. She will then tell you to talk to Mawnis.

Talk to Mawnis Burrowgar and after finding out Freygerd is coming back he will agree to go to the feast.

Talk with Manni and enjoy the feast!

Congratulations, quest complete!

Earlier this year, Jagex got in contact with us and we began discussing the possibility of some really cool changes (we’ll share more info when we have specific details) in the future. Of those changes, they offered us an opportunity to interview them and ask questions related to RuneScape. A few weeks ago, a thread was posted in General RuneScape Discussion asking what three questions you most wanted to ask Jagex. A selection of these questions were sent to Jagex and here are the answers!

Skill-Related

Q: With 10 skills having over 200,000 people at level 70, high much ‘high level content’ is being planned or worked on? - Neo Avatars
I can’t talk about specific future updates, but we are aware that high-level content is wanted and we are working on it.
Deciding what level requirements to give to new content is often a dilemma. However many players can play high-level content, there are always far more who can play medium- and low-level content – because high-level players can still play content that is ‘beneath’ them, whereas low-level players cannot play high-level content at all. The higher the level requirements of a piece of content are, the fewer people will be able to play it, so it’s harder for us to justify the time we will spend writing high-level content – especially in the case of quests, where the main appeal ought to be the enjoyment of doing the quest rather than just the rewards. On the other hand, we understand that high-level content provides something for people to look forward and motivate them to level up their skills. It’s a balancing act, and it’s something we definitely think about a lot both as individual developers and as a team.
John A

Q: Can you make it to where you can never max out a skill? – Muttdog
Having no limit at all would be technically impossible. When the game stores a number, such as the amount of XP you have in a skill, it has to assign it a certain amount of space, which means that there’s a maximum value that that number can be. We could make the cap very high, but a skill with literally no cap, so that you could keep on getting XP forever, would be impossible.
John A

Q: Will there ever be more resourse and production skills (such as mining and smithing)? - little boy 1100
We’ve always planned to keep adding skills to the game slowly but steadily, and that includes all types of skills. What those skills will be and when they will arrive I can’t say.
One difficulty we have is that, the more skills we have in the game, harder it is to find conceptual space to add new ones. All the really obvious ones are already there. Making metal things is Smithing; making non-metal things is mostly Crafting; making large things like buildings and furniture is Construction – it would be hard to add a new ‘making things’ skill that doesn’t tread on the toes of one of those three. This doesn’t mean we won’t be adding new skills, but it does mean that whenever we do decide to add one we have a difficult process of deciding what it could possibly be!
John A

Q: Are you planning on giving us any skill updates or adding to existing non combat skills? Not all of us are pkers you know. – samasa
We know! One of the interesting things about the RuneScape development team is that all of us are different kinds of player, both when we play RuneScape and as gamers in general. There are some people in the team who are hard-core PKers, others who are skillers, or into quests, and so forth. I personally am a story-focused player and not into PKing at all. Because we’re all different types of gamer, we’re naturally interested in adding many different types of content, and we’ll keep on adding a mix of different content types to the game.
John A

PvP/Wilderness-Related

Q: Will PvP ever include things like PK points, so there isn’t so much killing on the streets (except wild) and the game is more realistic? - little boy 1100
I’m not sure how a points system would make the game more realistic – I’m fairly sure that if I killed someone in real life I wouldn’t get points for it! The idea of PvP worlds was that they would be a free-for-all, so updates that tried to prescribe where you should and should not fight wouldn’t fit in with that idea.
John A

Q: Is the real wilderness ever coming back? - R4ng3d W4rs
If you mean will it go back to exactly how it was before, then no. Our changes to the Wilderness were necessary to get rid or real-world trading which was destroying the game, as we explained at the time. That isn’t to say that we won’t improve the Wilderness and the PvP system in other ways, but putting it back to how it was before isn’t on the cards.
John A

Areas/Land-Related

Q: Will there be additions to the world in the ocean beyond the elf lands? – Erebus
I can’t talk specifically about future content. There are various ways we can add more areas to the game, including adding new islands beyond the main land-mass. If we were to add much more to the east and west sides of the map, we’d eventually have to decide how large the RuneScape planet is, and when the east and west sides would join up. That won’t be for a long time though, if it ever happens at all.
John A

Q: Do you have any imminent plans for this area? (North of the God Wars Dungeon and Ice Path):

- Vorgore

Ooh, a gap. I can’t say anything specific about future content, but a gap like that is very tempting to developers. In fact, there’s a big copy of the RuneScape map on the wall next to my desk, and I notice that that blank space has been filled in, so a project is being developed there. What could it be? You will just have to wait to find out.
John A
[The space was ‘filled up’ earlier this week with the Tale of the Muspah quest ~ Neo]

Q: Will there be any new boss monsters added to the game, and what kind of things will they drop? – Kemosabe
I definitely expect new boss monsters to be added to the game, at least with quests. The exact nature of what they will be or what they will drop is not for me to spoil though; I’d rather leave it to the first courageous adventurers to discover what they look like and how they should be defeated. What I can say is that creating a boss monster is an interesting experience and I personally like boss monsters which require a certain strategy to be defeated, so any boss monsters I’d design would have a twist to it that would hopefully make it interesting. Can’t say much more though…
Mod_maylea

F2P-Related

Q: Will the f2p map ever get bigger? - As780
Good question. It was extended it a bit last year (with the runecrafting guild for those above 50, and the land of Snow for those who started Myths of the White lands last Christmas, the macro events that all became F2P). What the future holds is anyone’s guess.
Mod_maylea

Q: Do you every plan on making more armor available for free to play? - Gold Valcore
think it’s something that is being considered. Sadly I can’t tell more than that.
Mod_maylea

Other Content

Q: Do you plan to make more outfits that blend in well with certain skillcapes? - Warrior Zynk
That’s certainly a suggestion to consider! Certain outfits out there already match fairly well. If you have more specific suggestions (colours, shapes etc.), feel free to suggest!
Mod_maylea

Q: Are there going to be future updates to a few mini-games such as castle wars, duel arena, fight pits, and duel tournaments which are begging for tweakings? – Keldo
I can’t say for sure. Some of those games have already come a long way but are always open to improvements. All they need is the right suggestions!
Mod_maylea

Q: You stated that this year is a year of improvements. What kind of stuff are you looking at improving? (minigames, skills, general graphics, etc) – Kemosabe
Graphics are actively working on updating the look of the game (check the fairy area development diary) We (programmers) are fixing bugs and giving a buff to what needs it. There’ll be improvements to the world map, adding more “quick” options and many other things! And we’re also on the lookout for more things to improve, so any suggestions are welcome!
Mod_maylea

Q: If TT rewards are “random”, how do you prevent somebody from getting too many large or small rewards? - Don Florty
Treasure trails rewards work a bit like the drops you get when you kill a monster. It picks a random number, checks a pre-determined table that contains all possible rewards for that number then gives you the result. The only restrictions on there are what objects it can drop, but there isn’t any inside balancing mechanism to favour a more/less valuable drop if the last one you had was “too small” or “too large”. If someone gets many large rewards, they’re just incredibly lucky!
Mod_maylea

Q: Will the highscores break when the top player gets another half billion experience or so? - Neo Avatars
No. We’ve thought of that, and the high scores system will cope with anything you can throw at it! Do your worst!
John A

Q: Could you give me a general overview of the development of RuneScript? – Vorgore
The RuneScript scripting language has been continually developing since the game started. Back in the days of RuneScape Classic it was quite primitive, as the long-serving developers who remember those days sometimes like to remind the newer ones. When we upgraded from Classic to the current RuneScape the scripting language was totally re-written. Since then it’s had new features added to it continually – not just new things it’s able to do, but also structural changes to make it easier to write complex code in it. It’s gradually transformed from simple beginnings to a fully-featured scripting language that allows us to do some quite advanced things.

Community-Related

Q: How do you plan to become increasingly involved with said ‘reliable Fansites’? – Giggoe
I think the most important thing for us to do is ask fansites what they want us to do to get involved. It’s no good us offering a load of support in areas that aren’t of any real interest to a fansite, and we’d much rather look at getting involved in areas that they’d really appreciate. While we’ll always be offering support to each fansite in a few core areas, the areas we get involved most heavily with in future will probably differ from site to site.
Mod Hohbein

Q: When will you stop using bots in the Customer Support and actually read our appeals? - Sgt Dimitri
Believe it or not, we do spend time reviewing every offence appeal we receive. We understand that it might not always seem that way, and we’re currently looking at making some changes to our offence system to improve the service our players are given. Watch this space. 
Mod Hohbein

Q: In your opinion, what makes RuneScape so addictive? – Finitchiyoe
The sheer amount of stuff there is to do! RuneScape has an unbelievable amount of content and ‘getting to the top’ is a huge achievement that takes a very long time. I guess always having something to aim for is what makes coming back to RuneScape so appealing for so many people.
Mod Hohbein

Q: Do you have any plans for in-game advertising in the future? – Steve
Currently we haven’t got any such plans. I think, while kind of cool, in-game advertising wouldn’t be particularly easy to incorporate into RuneScape without detracting from the gaming experience. A massive banner draped over the Grand Exchange advertising the latest Steven Spielberg film might have a slight effect on player emersion.
Mod Hohbein

Q: How long will you continue to update Runescape? - Leo Crimson
Forever! I can’t think of a good reason not to.
Mod Hohbein

Company-Related

Q: What ‘degrees’ do you need to work for Jagex? - Runescaper4
This is difficult to answer as every role is different, for example you will need a different degree for a role in Graphics than you will of our game engine team. The best thing to do is to work hard; we are always looking for talented people to join our team.
Mod Hohbein

Q: Over the many years of RuneScape have you (Jagex) regretted any sort of update or significant change to RuneScape? – Finitchiyoe
The quick answer is no. Not every player appreciates or enjoys every update but we always have the players in mind when we make any decision big or small.
Mod Hohbein

Q: What are your plans for the future of Jagex? – Giggoe
That would be telling…but you can expect an exciting year from us.
Mod Hohbein

Released at the end of 2003, Twelve Sky Gold is a martial arts MMORPG which has been in service in South Korea for five years. As time goes on, Twelve Sky Gold is a little outdated in some aspects. In 2007, the developer GigasSoft put great efforts into it’s expansion, from which we can see great improvements in the graphics. However, an expansion is not enough to solve all the problems, and making a sequel is considered as the best choice. And so comes Twelve Sky Gold 2. At this year’s Chinajoy we had the opportunity to talk with Seo Hyojung, the strategic division director of Gigassoft, and let him show more details of the Twelve Sky Gold 2 to us.

MMOsite: Hello, thanks for taking our interview. Can you give us a brief introduction to your development team and your company Gigassoft to our readers?

Seo Hyojung: Thank you! About our development team, we are very proud that the team developed our own game engine, GXD, which is now used in Twelve Sky Gold. And the upgraded GXD engine has already been adopted in Twelve Sky Gold 2. I think some users may have already felt the obvious graphic improvements of the upgraded game engine in the Korean version Twelve Sky Gold 2. And currently, we are preparing to set up a new studio in China. I think you see some new titles developed by this studio in the future.

MMOsite: We know you will attend this year’s ChinaJoy. How many times have you been to ChinaJoy? What’s your comment on ChinaJoy, particularly the 2008 ChinaJoy?

Seo Hyojung: Actually this is the first time for us to attend ChinaJoy. It’s really amazing to see so many players there, because, you know, it’s summer and really very hot.

And in this year’s ChinaJoy, our Chinese publisher, GFyoyo, has a booth for Twelve Sky Gold 2. I can see that the players around it are all very excited. That’s make me very happy, because we can see in the player’s faces our efforts will be rewarded.

As the biggest online game market, ChinaJoy is drawing the eyes of all the developer and publishers in the world. I think it will soon be an international game industry occasion just like E3.

MMOsite: Do you have any exciting news relating to ChinaJoy 2008 to share with us? What titles are you showcasing at this year’s ChinaJoy? Any new titles?

Seo Hyojung: I just said that our new title, Twelve Sky Gold 2, has a booth on this year’s ChinaJoy! So, the Chinese players will be able to enjoy it before the end of this year.

And certainly, we have several other titles under development. But since they are not finished, you can not see them on this year’s ChinaJoy. But I believe players will be able to see them in the near future!

MMOsite: OK, let’s talk something about Twelve Sky. First, as an introductory overview, how will you describe Twelve Sky to those who are unfamiliar with this game?

Seo Hyojung: High level-up speed, exciting PVP system, simple UI and easy control! And the most important thing is that new players can always find help and friends in the game.

MMOsite: Twelve Sky is well known for its unique battle system. Can you basically introduce the system to us? Are there any innovative elements which set it aside from other fantasy MMORPGs?

Seo Hyojung: Yes, we are very proud with the battle system in Twelve Sky Gold. It’s the most appealing part in our game actually. You know, after level 30, players can get into battle fields and fight with the other factions. If you win, you will have the right to use some specific dungeons, where special rewards exist. And after level 70, players are able to join in a specific battlefield, Yongok Valley. You can break the other factions’ shields there and invade into their maps.

For innovative elements, I think the most successful part we did is to bind PVP system with Twelve Sky Gold seamlessly! That’s exactly what makes our game stand out from the other MMORPGs!

12 Sky Gold features a battle system that is both solo and party friendly. Monsters are easier to defeat than in most MMORPG’s which gives the 12 Sky Gold player more opportunities to explore instead of just grinding. When you do spend time fighting Non-playing Characters (NPCs), there are a few features that make things a little more interesting. One is the ‘Parts System’ that allows your character to hit the upper, middle, and lower body 12 Sky Gold parts of enemies resulting in different death animations. After you get some fighting practice in, heads will definitely roll.

Player vs. Player (PvP)

12 Sky Gold is designed around making an intense PvP experience for 12 Sky Gold players. When you create a character, you swear allegiance to a clan, and you must do everything in your power to expand its power. This generally means joining the various clan battles constantly raging across the land. Be careful though, even if your clan is beating another in battle, a third clan may take you by surprise.

Skills

The battle 12 Sky Gold system is based around the mastery of various martial art skills. Skill points are earned after each new level, which can be used to learn new moves or master the ones you have. Not all skills are based on combat. Like a ninja, you must learn to leap from rooftop to rooftop to avoid detection, or cross chasms to reach advanced areas. It will take more than brawn to fulfill your destiny.

Recently, 12 Sky Gold II ended its stress test and announced . During the Stress Test , the concurrent online players have hit 15,000. However, many players who are joined the stress test, are considered 12 Sky Gold II as an “M for Mature” rating MMORPG. Because in the game, all characters both role playing characters and monsters can be naked. Monsters in some maps can be naked gradually when you attack them. For this, some players expressed it’s unacceptable, they argued that the game developer should considered requirements from female players and minors.

Enhanced monster fighting and war system

12sky Gold 2 also features a more refined monster fighting style. And the company’s in-house developed game engine will improve the players’”feel of beat” which is not strong in 12sky Gold. And even newbies will be allowed to participate in war. Every player whose level is above 10 can enjoy warfare in 12sky Gold 2.

Enjoy the higher positions of Runescape to the fullest

Introduction
As I have already explained this guide is for the experienced and high level players. I have composed this guide from over 2 years experience on the game and have decided to release this guide to you.

The secrets
Mining, requirements, 55 mining, 50 smithing and patience! Firstly, go into the dwarf mines and over to the iron rocks and mine 500 iron ore, going backward and forwards to the bank. This should take about 1-2hours (depending on your level.) Then go over to any coal rocks, and mine 1,000 coal ore, please be patient; this should take 5-7 hours depending on your level and the amount of people there. Now, more patience, put everything into your bank (armour, everything) and withdraw 10 iron and “all coal” then go to the furnace. Smelt these into steel bars. Keep repeating this until all of your iron and coal ores are used up. You should now have 500 steel bars. You may now proceed to world 1 if you do not wish to continue mining to get more to sell. Go to Falador’s east bank. Outside you can say selling steel bars 600gp each, or there is always someone buying them (it may be 550each though) 500 steel bars is roughly 300k.

To make even more money from mining you can try to better way. This requires 60 mining, 50 smithing, and 43 magic. Enter the mining guild and mine mithril rocks. Then mine some coal. Cast superheat item on the mithril ore to make mithril bars. You can normally get 20 - 22 bars per inventory (after mined all coal and mithril smelted and did again) Bank these. Repeat quite a lot of times. I normally get 500 before I start selling. With your 500 mithril bars, go to world 1 and sell at the same place for 1500gp each, some people will only buy 1400gp each. You will make about 700k-750k!

Crafting is a good way. To craft for profit you need 50 crafting, 49 magic and 40 mining. Firstly you can buy rubies 1500gp each at Falador’s East bank in world 1, or u can mine gold until you get a healthy supply of them I prefer to buy. Mine a lot of gold ore and smelt them into bars. Then make ruby amulets. And enchant. They u can go to Varrock west bank and sell. Normally people purchase 2,000gp-2,500gp each.

Results
A healthy rate of income is what is made from these techniques. The more you do it, to more cash you get!! You also should have got quite a few mining, smithing, mage and crafting levels by the end of all of that with about 1million gp on runescape!!

Conclusion
By the time you have finished using the techniques in this guide; you should be a millionaire and not be a middle ranked person anymore. It will take time to finish but you won’t become a millionaire over night, no matter what anyone says. I hope I have helped you and you can be like me, an expert to non-member Runescape.
