It never ceases to amaze me just how many people out there are trying to cheat their way through Runescape and find a quick way of making a few extra gold pieces instead of playing the game like the rest of us do – just as a challenge and for fun. The main reason I’m writing this guide is for all those out there attempting to find great free Runescape 2 cheats, which unfortunately don’t exist - like the runescape 2 stat changer (there has never been a Runescape 2 hack like this, if people are claiming they can change stats it is just a scam). Runescape first of April’s updates seems to attract abbreviations: F2P, PvP, OMG - all of these could be used to describe Fist of Guthix, our next combat minigame. We could say that this will be a safe, single-way, Wilderness-based game available to both free players and members, but that would ignore some important details. Attack strategies, defensive tactics, well-timed escapes: Fist of Guthix will employ all of these to create a memorable combat minigame.

Runescape is a very popular online game, and as a result, you may find yourself competing with others both in your battling areas and while you gather raw materials like logs and ores.

Simple strategies to lessen the frustration you’ll feel from this competition are as follows:

Become a Member if at all possible - the accessable part of the world is larger and thus there are places to gather your raw materials and build your skills.
Find a bank far away from the main cities and gather your materials from that location instead. Many players are too lazy to leave the main cities, so the competition is inherently reduced.
Find a time of the day when there are reliably less people playing, and spend that time gathering materials that are the most frustrating with other players around: mining, log gathering and fishing for example.
Invest the time in improving your ranging ability (bow and arrow use), because when you’re fighting in competitive areas, quick-clicking rangers have an advantage, and in some areas a ranger can stand out of the reach of a large monster, yet still attack and kill that monster.
Make your own arrows - this goes with the above point - if you try to buy enough arrows to improve your ranging ability, you’ll spend all of your money and still not have enough arrows. It’s better to advance your mining, smelting and fletching skills so you can create and use your own arrows. Plus, hey, if you have an extra 1000 laying around after all that work, you can sell it for a profit to others who are too lazy to create their own!
Explore the wilderness when the game server isn’t full - there are a lot of great skilling places, like mines and herblore-component things, in the Wilderness. But of course, there are inherent dangers in the Wilderness - other players looking to kill you for sport or for your equipment. Explore when the game server is quiet and you’ll be a lot less stressed.
Save every rune you come across - then build your mage skills periodically. Building your mage skills is rewarded by the teleport skills you will get at mid-to-high levels, which make transportation around the world a LOT EASIER, and provides for quick-escape within certain parts of the Wilderness in case you find yourself under attack.
Sell law runes 1, 2 or 5 at a time when players are specifically desperate for the runes - don’t sell large quantities at any one time as you won’t get a good rate for them, and law runes are valuable (being a key part of the mage teleports above). If you sell 1, 2 or 5 at a time, you can ask 1000 coins for each and players will pay. Watch for their advertisements in the bank.

You are by no means allowed to ask for ranks in our chat. This makes our lives miserable, and spams the chat. We can assure you that if you are an active, friendly, honest, and helpful member, you will be rewarded accordingly. Fals Fantasy and I will be moderating behavior of everyone and making sure everything is in order and also who is going to be our future high ranking official. All high ranking officials (Fals Fantasy, myself and others) will discuss who should be get a rank.

Please also be aware that Fals Fantasy almost never gives out a general ranking. She has told me who ever gets a general ranking is definitely closely apart of her activities. So for this reason, remember that I am the the only Captain that can accept applications, and you can ask questions about that straight to Fals Fantasy.

Getting Started

Firstly, talk to Father Aereck and ask him if he has a quest for you. He can be found inside the Lumbridge church, standing around the altar. He says that he needs someone to make the ghost in the Church Graveyard go away. He mentions that his friend Father Urhney may be able to help you.

Leave the church and follow the road north until you reach the General Store, and then head west along the dirt path until it ends. Now head southeast through the swamp, or head south along the ocean until you find a small house. Talk to Father Urhney and tell him that Father Aereck sent you. Say that a ghost is haunting the graveyard, and he gives you an Amulet of GhostSpeak so that you can talk to it.

Helping the Ghost

Go back to the church in Lumbridge and walk into the graveyard behind it. The ghost is inside the small building in the corner of the graveyard, and you may need to open and close the Coffin to get him to appear. With your new amulet on, speak to the ghost, and when he asks if you understood him, tell him that you did. He says that a Warlock has stolen his skull, and that may be why he can’t rest.

Now leave the graveyard and follow the road north until you reach the General Store. Head west along the same dirt path you traveled before, but this time keep to the same direction until you reach a road. Follow it south into the Wizard’s Tower, and climb down the ladder. Walk along the corridor to the door on the east side. You’ll see an altar; search this to find a Skull. A level 13 Skeleton will then jump out at you, but since you already have the skull, just run away!

Visit the ghost back in the Graveyard, and tell him that you’ve found his skull. He needs you to put it in his coffin, and after you do so he will be able to rest.

Quest Complete!

You can use any world that you like to play RuneScape (with the exception that only members can access members’ worlds), however, there are some activities players like to do in certain worlds and other activities that can only be done in certain worlds. We’ve assigned these activities to certain worlds to make it easier for you to find like-minded players.

In the world list below, the activities in white text shows those worlds we suggest for player activities - e.g. trading, minigames, rune running, etc. You don’t have to do these things in these worlds, but you might find it both easier and more enjoyable to do so - imagine a game of Castle Wars with over a thousand other people! For these suggested activities, if you find that the listed world is unavailable for some reason, feel free to go to any other world - you can still do these things in any world you like.
