Barbarian Assault is a relatively complex members only, team-based mini game which was released in early 2007. It is located north-east of the Tree Gnome Stronghold. This mini game is a safe mini game, so you will not lose your items if you happen to die. Each team member must take a role in the game, with each role helping the other role. You have to keep in touch with your other teammates to help them accomplish their tasks, and this is done with a horn which you will receive at the start of the game. The key to winning Barbarian Assault is teamwork.

2.0 - Interface
To get started, speak to Captain Cain at the entrance to the mini-game arena, and he will inform you of the ins and outs of the game, giving you a basic tutorial on each of the roles available and monsters that you must slay. To become familiar with the game, listen to Captain Cain closely as he explains everything you need to know. You’ll soon find out some good news - there are no items required! Also the mini game has rewards to go with it, a list of these rewards explained further in 5.0.

Before starting, you can always look at the blackboard to see all your points for each role, as well as your current wave level, points for next level, etc.

Once you have finished your tutorial with Captain Cain, head down into the lobby where you’ll have two options with starting the mini-game:

Go to the room marked with a ‘1′. Either, make a team, or join a team. To make a team grab a scroll from the table in the room. Use the scroll on other players you want in your team and pick a role for yourself by using the ‘Write-role’ option on the scroll. Once you have 5 teammates (one role will consist of two members). Go down the ladder to start the mini-game.
Go into the larger room marked with an arrow. Once you go in you will be asked to choose a role. The game will start once each role is occupied.

2.1 - Point Breakdown
Having succession in Barbarian Assault is doing well in the game, doing well equals more points, doing poorly less points. Here’s the breakdown.

When you finish a round of Barbarian Assault a scroll will come up similar to the one shown above. The first scroll is your honor points, it is what you earned during the game. The advance breakdown shows the team’s honor points and Individual honor points. The team’s honor points are what the team earned, individual is what you earned yourself. Points are earned by doing your role, and points are lost for not succeeding in your role. For example: a defender loses points for letting the runners escape into the cave. Using the egg launcher does not raise your individual honor points but your team points, since it’s not you doing the job. For a whole summary of losing and gaining points:

You can lose points in only 4 ways (10 points max):

Attacker - using wrong attack.
Collector - picking up wrong eggs.
Healer - using wrong poisons. Defender - letting runners reach the bottom exit.
You can gain points in only 2 ways:

Collector - picking up eggs (60 eggs is max; you get 13 bonus points).
Healer - Healing teammates hitpoints (504-512 max; you get 28 bonus points).
3.0 - Gameplay
There are four roles in the mini game, with two people taking one role each. The four roles are: Attacker, Defender, Healer, and Collector, each being designated their own special tasks, and each having their own distinctive colour and logo. Once you start the game you will have a ring that displays your role around you and a interface with a ‘mouth’, ‘ear’, ‘penance creature’, and a ‘horn’. The ‘mouth’ tells what to shout from your horn, the ‘ear’ tells you what type you should use, the ‘penance creature’ tells what wave you are on, the ‘horn’ tells who you should shout your horn to. Once you’ve entered the game you’ll be given a horn, which tells the other roles what they need to be doing.

» The Defender’s horn will tell the healer what poison to use, and the Healer’s horn will tell the defender what bait to use.
» The Attacker’s horn will tell what colour egg the collector should pick up, and the Collector’s horn tells what type of combat style the attacker should do.

Attacker Defender Collector Healer

Another option if your role in the minigame is done, is to use the Great Horn, located in the South of the cavern. The horn has the ability to tell your team what things they must drop, use or what attack style to fight with.

Each role is crucial to the other. It’s good to keep in touch with the role that tells you what to do. For a more in depth look at using each role to their maximum potential, see the strategies section.

3.1 - Attacker
As an attacker, your goal is to attack the Penance Fighters and Rangers, using any form of combat you so desire. If you decide to use range or magic, you will have to use the arrows/runes supplied to you. You also give and receive instructions to the Collector. As an attacker you can receive four options from the collector, they are:

» Controlled, Wind, Bronze
» Accurate, Water, Iron
» Aggressive, Earth, Steel
» Defensive, Fire, Mithril,
If you do not use the right attacking method, you won’t be able to damage the Fighters and Rangers at all. Instead, you will be hit with recoil damage, which ranges from 1 to 5hp. This also deducts points from your final score, so you should refrain from guessing the correct attack type. Always keep your menu in the attack type selection menu and keep auto retaliate off. When the type switches change your attack style and your character will stop attacking until ordered. While you wait for the collector to shout what type of attack to use, go ahead and shout his egg color. This prevents your character from making you lose points 99% of the time.

As an attacker, you will be fighting the most and will require the most healing. It is a very good idea to stay near the healer at all times if you wish to survive and not lose the game for your team.

Attackers lose points by using the wrong fighting style.
3.2 - Defender

The defender role is similar to luring with their main opponent being the Penance Runner. The Defender will use the blue coloured machine, which gives Worms, Tofu and Crackers. You lure the Runners by:

» Getting instructions from the Healer.
» Laying the bait instructed in a trail to the trap, keep the Penance Runner there for until the trap does the dirty work.
The bait will change, so keep in constant touch with the Healer. Sometimes the Runners will ignore you completely and run for the exit; don’t worry if one or two gets away.

The Defender can also lay barricades with logs and a hammer (supplied in the room), in front of the Penance’s cave, which will prevent them from coming in. Note that the barricades only last for awhile.

Defenders lose points by letting runners escape to the cave.
3.3 - Collector
As a collector, the main job is to pick up the Penance eggs, and load them into the egg launcher. These eggs come in three colours: blue, red and green, each with their own special effect. If you need to change the type of egg use the egg converter (Picture) located by the other machines (Note: not all the eggs will survive this process). The eggs can be fired using the Egg Launcher (Picture). The egg launcher is used to kill the Penance Queen on the final wave. It also can be used on any of the penance creatures. The following table shows each egg and its effect when fired at the Penance:

Picture Name Effect
Green Egg Poisons the Penance. This poison damages over time.
Red Egg Does damage to the Penance, between 3 and 4.
Blue Egg Stuns the Penance for a couple seconds.

The Collector receives information on what egg to pick up from the Attacker. The Collector also relays information to the Attacker of what style to use when attacking the Penance. The Collector is the only one who can pick up eggs and if you pick up the wrong one, you will be dealt some damage. The collector loads the eggs into an Egg Launcher.

Collectors lose points by selecting the wrong egg.
3.4 - Healer
The Healer is very important in the game, their main foe being the Penance Healers. Their job consists of healing other players, so that no one dies during the game, and poisoning Penance healers. To heal a fellow member, use the green machine to obtain a vial (limit one vial). Use ‘Take from’ on the green pool in the west part of arena to fill the vial; you will obtain a filled vial that can heal other players. The green pool can also be used to heal yourself if you’re the healer. The healer also has a unique interface that tells the Healer each team members health (Picture).

The Defender will tell the Healer what poisoned food to use; tofu, crackers, or worms. The Healer will use the instructed poisoned food on the Penance Healers.

Healers lose points by using the wrong poison on the penance healers.

3.5 - The Monsters
Throughout this minigame, there are 2 monsters that are attackable; the Penance Fighter and Ranger.

Penance Fighter

Combat (in order of waves): 30, 31, 37, 42, 47, 56, 61, 68, 77, 61
Race: Beast
Nature: Aggressive
Attack Style: Melee
Examine: What on runescape is that?

Drops: Red, green and blue eggs.
Notes: Penance Fighters can only attack using melee, making them easily predicatble. Fighters are not as tough as they look, but if you get swarmed by them it can be very deadly.

Penance Ranger

Combat (in order of waves): 21, 25, 32, 38, 43, 51, 57, 64, 72, 57
Race: Beast
Nature: Aggressive
Attack Style: Range
Examine: Shooty-Shooty.

Drops: Red, green and blue eggs.
Notes: Rangers can hit players from afar, making them very annoying. Rangers are weaker and lower leveled than the fighters.

The Queen
Half way through the 10th wave, the Penance Queen will arrive through a trapdoor in the floor. She can attack several units at once with a ranged attack that can be very deadly for the unprepared. At first her ranged attack will be slow, but powerful. The more and more her health goes down the faster her attack will get. This attack can hit anyone, anywhere; so a good healer will be wary of everybody’s health, including yours. To defeat the Penance Queen, your team must acquire an omega egg, which is the only way of damaging the Queen. A large number of eggs prepared beforehand is recommended. Each member of your team will need to contribute in some way:

Omega Eggs
The Collector needs to get the yellow egg and give it to the Healer.
The Healer needs to dunk the egg into the poison pool and then pass it on to the Attacker.
The Attacker needs to attach spikes to the egg from the spiked mushroom and hand it off to the Defender.
The Defender will now need to dunk the spiked egg into the Lava pools and hand it off to the Collector.
The Collector will then load the Omega egg into the Egg launcher and then the egg can be fired at the queen.
Repeat until the Queen is dead.

Once your eggs are ready, you can begin your assault on the queen using the cannon. It’s advised to gather up a stock (around 7-12) before shooting, this way you wont have to repeat the process so many times.

Penance Queen

Combat: 209
Hitpoints: 380
Race: Beast
Nature: Aggressive
Attack Style: Range/Magic
Examine: Run away! Run away!

Drops: None.
Notes: The queen uses a Range/Magic attack that can damage any players anywhere in the map. If you get to close then she will attack you with melee. The Penance Queen cannot be attacked head-on and must be defeated by firing Omega Eggs at her. Players must have defeated all the other Penance creatures before being able to attack the Queen. Once the Queen loses more life, her attacks become much faster and more powerful.

Before we begin, let’s take a moment to learn the basics of the Grand Exchange. When you open the Exchange window, you will see six boxes with 2 boxes in each. One box is for buying, and the other for selling. You can pick the quantity and the price for either buying or selling. Usually when selling, the lowest price possible will be the fastest sell.

Let me show you an example. As you can see from the screenshot below, I have three barbed tail harpoons. They are set at the max price (27 gp) and the total gold is 81 gp. I could change the quantity and/or the price if I wanted to. However, I think that is fair, so I will press “Confirm Offer” and then I will wait for it to finish. They will hold your items or money until it’s completed. You can always go to any bank and press “collect” to receive the money or items you got from the exchange.

Now, that you have a basic grasp of the way it works, lets move on to money-making.

Obviously the normal merchanting is always a great way to make money. However, who really wants to sit in a bank for an hour typing “Selling 1k willows!!”? That’s what’s great about the Exchange. Just take your items and put them in your sell box. Name the price and the quantity will automatically be the number you have. Most of the time it will sell within a minute of you putting it up. But of course, it’s not always going to work like that. As in the screenshot below, I’m waiting for them to sell.

They will not sell as fast because they are not a popular item and they are at the max price.
If I had say, 100 Swordfish, and I put them at the minimum price, they would sell very fast.
Even if they were at the maximum price, they would sell quite fast. Remember, the more popular the item is, the faster it sells.

Another good idea is to buy low and sell high. Say I buy eight swordfish at 375gp each. Then I resell them for 415gp each. I just made 320gp. Sure, it’s not a lot, but say I buy 1k Swordfish for 375k and then I resold for 415kGP. See the difference? Of course making money like this could take quite awhile. Just stay patient and it will pay off.

Using the Runescape Grand Exchange is a wonderful money making opportunity. You can have that Dragon Longsword you have been dreaming of in a matter of minutes.

Start: Talk with Duke Huracio in the second floor in Lumbridge Castle.

Walkthrough
1. After you get the talisman from the duke, go to the head wizard located in the basement of Wizard Tower south of Draynor Village. Talk with him, and he will give you a research package.

2. Bring the package to Aubury in the rune shop in Varrock. Talk with him twice and you will get some notes you have to give to the wizard.

3. Go back to the Head Wizard in Wizard Tower and talk with him, and you’re done.

Members- Kill blue dragons. they drop hides and bones. I burry the bones and keep the hides but if u want more money faster keep the bones too.
Hides sell for about 2k
Bones sell for about 1.5k
Note: Prices will change over time.
**Note blue dragons drop lvl 3 clues so keep a eye out for them.**

I am lvl 61 range and kill them in like 1 minute so it is very easy with range but mage works good too. If u plan on using combat use anti fire sheild and bring some lobbies.

Non members- Go to lesser demons and kill them. Make sure you have food. I choose to use a rune b axe or any rune weapon aginst these.They have a low defense lvl and drop rune meds and lots of fire runes. They also drop mith chains and sqs.

For any more tips add me on rs2 and ill be glad to help.

I have tips that can make you millions in days if you are high enough magic and crafting lvls, But if u want to know my favorite one it will cost you because i can make 1 mill a hour easy, I have made 1.7 mil in 1 hour.

Go to ardourgne with about 10k,100k or 1m
and go to the general shop and buy a full invent
of water filled vials for 10gp each,
then bank and repeat,
people buy these at the Grande Exchange for up to
100gp each
i done this with 100k and ended up with with 10k vials which got me 900k

2 Law Rune Trade Routes (Members only)
~first way~
OK the first route which is the easiest to do takes place in Al Kharid, First you need to do a quest for Ali Morrisai…After a short and easy quest talk to Ali M. again and he will tell you he will be looking forward to expanding his buisiness.First do runes go to auburny and follow given instrustions…Then Ali M. will tell you he has gotten the chests but they have strange locks that he needs you to unlock.This is quite simple to do as it is just a short game of soduko.Now after you have unlocked the large casket you can now buy laws for 300 ea…Now if u look carefuly people on the forums will be buying law runes for 500 ea!If you orignally buy 1k law from Ali M. for 300k…Which means that you get 500k for all on forums and make an extra 200k repeat and u can make 1m in no time!

~second way~
Make your way to Ardrougne and go to the shack behind the castle then pull the lever, you should tele to lvl 54 wildy (knife or sharp wep. required to cut webs).Go to the mage arena and buy laws from the shop and repeat the final step in the first way you should have about the same results!!!

4 tip easy money!!!!!!!
an easy way to get money if you are a member is to pick flak and turn them into bow strings. bowstrings can sell for 150gp each.that means that if you sell 1000 bow strings, you get 150,000gp!!!and if you want to sell another 1,000 bow strings, you can make another 150k which is 300,000gp.take my advice it really works!!!!!!

Best places to train (and recommended levels)
This is my small guide to training. believe me, these are good spots =D.Level 3-10: there is not much choice here, but why would there, your fresh from the game and don’t need a large amount of monsters. At these levels i recommend you train on Goblins, rats (very easy) rams, cows and chickens. Don’t worry these all can be found close by to the starting town you are in (Lumbridge)

At level 10 i recommend using one of the easy money cheats below, mainly the cowhide method. it wont take long but soon you will have enough money for full iron amour. this is recommended if you want to make it very far. i would also suggest at level 3 that you fish shrimps and up, as well as cooking them. This is to heal you and let you train for much longer periods of time.

10-30 now that i trust that you have iron amour, and food to let you train longer its time to gain attack, defense or strength levels in Al Karid, very close by from Lumbridge.
Inside the castle there are level 9 Al Karid guards for you to massacre with others for decent experience.

At anytime you can upgrade your amour type according to your combat level.

30-50 At these levels guards in Varrok are perfect xp.

Now for my favorite spot that i still use today.
By now there are many training spot’s that you should have discovered

50-126
Go to the barbarian village
go down the ladder
now cross through the portal or go through the maze to the end clearing
now go down the ladder
now either use the portal again or go trough the maze again.
now go south to the ladder that goes upwards STOP
now go west and past the 2 gates in your way ad the nearest clearing is the training spot. these level 43 and 41 monsters automatacly attack you. FOOD IS A MUST to survive.

There are decent spot to train all over the various floor of the maze (stronghold of security). there is another spot with the same monsters nearby that i also use.

Travel to Al Kharid and go to the Silk Trader.
Buy as many as you can and then bank them, once you have spent all your money go to the bank, and then note them all.Then travel to Varrock and sell them to Thessalia, The Cloth Store owner.You will make quite a hefty profit, and you can keep going if you like.But remember every time you sell the silk, switch to a different world, or else the profits will not be good at all.

The Iron Ore Sell.

For this I suggest at least 31 Ming and an Adamanite Pickaxe.Go to the Dwarve Mines and mine Iron.Then when you have a full inventory, bank it, then mine more Iron.Keep going and when you have 1000 Iron Ores, sell them for 100 K!

First, you need the ability to smith full Iron.

1. Get the following:
   • dusty key
   • 50+ combat
   • anti-dragon shield
   • (Optional) Lvl 25 Magic and Varrock Teleport Runes

1. Head to Falador’s west bank and equip your armor and anti-dragonfire shield. Take the dusty key and teleport runes/tab in your inventory.
2. Climb over the broken wall west of the bank.
3. Continue north-west until the dungeon symbol (!) appears on your minimap. Climb down the ladder.
4. Continue down the hall. Stop at the gate with two suits of armor next to it, and a “Cauldron of Thunder”, and enter.
5. Go through the southern Gate. Keep heading east until you reach a two-way junction at the end of path. Don’t go into the room of giant bats.
6. Head south from this junction until you reach a room of magic axes. From there, continue south from the room until you reach a junction. Head west (If you can see hill giants you’ve gone the wrong way).
7. Continue along the path until you reach the lesser demons. Use your Dusty Key on the only gate in the area.
8. Pick up blue dragon scales. You will now see baby blue dragons and blue dragons. You don’t need to fight them; your job is to get the scales that other players have left on the ground.
9. Fill your inventory and teleport back to Falador. Bank the scales.
10. Repeat this process until you have 1,000 dragon scales. Grind the 1,000 dragon scales into dust.
11. Sell the dragon scale dust in the Grand Exchange. There’s a lot of demand for them so you should be able to sell at a high price. Notes: Not recommended for anyone who feels uncomfortable running around the dragons. If you’re really worried, consider taking an anti-fire potion to render the dragon’s fire attacks harmless. Take a break and try something else once in a while.

How do I order Power Leveling?
You can only order Power Leveling for one account at the time. If you want leveling performed on several different accounts you must make separate orders. Items and accounts must also be ordered separately. You select skill, start level and end level in the item browser. Quests are also an integral part of our Power Leveling and can be included in the same order as skills. You will be prompted for Runescape account name, password and pin code for bank account during checkout. We need access to bank account in order to store and faciliate the transfer of all items required for the service you have ordered. We don’t need any recovery questions. Security is the foundation of our business and we will never ask for more information than the absolute minimum for performing the service.

Do you have any special requirements with respect to my Runescape account and the items on it?
Your Runescape account must be setup for membership for the entire duration of the Power Leveling and your selected skill start levels must match the current levels on your Runescape account. If you order a quest you must meet the skill and quest point requirements specified in the item description for that quest or alternatively order the required skill levels at the same time. The majority of our Runescape services are based on a variety of items which we supply and transfer to your account in the inital stages of the order processing. To facilitate the transfer of these items you must have at least 50K gold in your inventory or bank account. The items we transfer can be anything from Sharks for your Cooking skill to armor and weapons for your protection in the wilderness.
