We have introduced two new worlds for those who prefer to chat, or be chatted to, with Quick Chat. The worlds are 160 and 161. Conventional chat may not be used on these worlds - they are for Quick Chat users only.

NOTE - We would like to remind players that we have absolutely NO intention of removing free chat from the game, either now or in the future. Quick Chat is designed to be an optional alternative to normal chat.

Quick Chat users can now chat to their friends on FunOrb, and vice versa. Simply select a friend from your Friends List and then choose what you want to say from the ‘General’ and/or ‘Inter-game’ menus within Quick Chat.

We have made efforts to stop the strange ‘dancing’ effect that occurs when fighting monsters on the same square as you. You should find that, instead of moving from side to side, you find a more suitable position to attack the monster from.

Dragon square shields have been updated, thanks to observant players who noted that its two halves wouldn’t make a square!

 New Quest Online - Part Three

Today sees the release of the third part of our ongoing Members’ Quest.The War against the Dark Lord continues. In order to track down the evil King Tyras, you must first make your way through The Underground Pass.

We now know from our team of scouts that the pass is in fact a deep and complex labyrinth, which is all but empty of human kind.

Your job is to find a way through the pass, so that King Lathas can send his troops through to the frontierlands of West Runescape.

We had hoped to get this information from our scouts, but for some reason we had trouble getting much sense out of them. One of them spoke of a man named Iban, but this was clearly lunacy, as Iban was of course the great Dark Knight who died many years ago.

 Looking Out For Runescape Scammers

Gaining advantage over other players in online games such as Runescape can also come from other means such as wise players. Impersonation of game administrators, tricking players into so-called secrets and too good to be true trades are just some of the issues that most Runescape players will have to look out for. This is how Runescape has become so addicting and in demand that it leads to players going to the extent of trying to hack accounts the unwittingly way and trying to trick players into believing that such tricks do work.

Impersonation Tricks

For most players trust is a big question mark in Runescape. Identifying and determining who the real game administrators are in the game is something that would be hard for first time players. Like for example, teaching players to change passwords in the game by typing on screen some commands that are actually non-existent is already a scenario where a player account can be hacked. For example, making a player believe that his password won’t be sent can be done by merely replacing the old typed password with asterisks. The usual scenario is for the character to log-off and try the new one, which will obviously fail to log on. By this time, the player who conned him will have gained access to the player’s account and may have gotten hold of all his rare items and gold. This is why that players need to think twice before giving their full trust to their co-players, with special mention to the people who they meet online or in the game itself.

Runescape players will definitely look for rare items and go to every extent to be able to get hold of them. Runescape players who lack the overall knowledge of the game may not be entirely aware of the available rare items in Runescape and even if they are, the execution of the exchange and trade should be in a secure place. Guarded places such as towns would be the best bet to deal with people that most players are unfamiliar with. Most Runescape scams are done in the wilderness of the Runescape world and this alone is something that should become suspicious since the tendency is that they may get ambushed or killed in the process. The presence of such scams and tricks cannot be discounted and may make the life of Runescape players miserable.

A number of slippery ice patches have been spotted in Gielinor, and there is growing concern that someone, or something, is trying to ruin everybody’s Christmas. With so much ice around, the safety of the inhabitants of RuneScape is at stake, and as if that wasn’t enough, disappointed children have been reporting a lack of presents in their stockings! According to imp emissaries from the Land of Snow, the problem originated in their homeland…those of you who remember the result of your Guaranteed Content Christmas poll may have an idea of what lies at the centre of the mystery!

Meanwhile, in Lumbridge, Explorer Jack has heard tales from a chatty snow imp of mythical riches in the Land of Snow. Of course, he leaves the adventuring to younger explorers these days, but he could be talked into rewarding someone willing to fetch these riches for him. In Myths of the White Lands, you will discover what lies at the heart of snow imp lore, and the creatures that accompany it. You will need ingenuity, skill and quick reflexes to succeed in this particularly puzzling quest, which more experienced players may find contains a few extra rewards.

Myths of the White Lands will be available to all players for two weeks, after which it will be available only to members. The Christmas event will be available to all players for two weeks only.

This is the first quest (and event) I have written, and it’s exciting to finally have something I made released. I really hope that you like them both, and that you have at least as much fun playing them as I had writing them. Merry Christmas, everybody!

The necklace of minigames and ring of duelling have undergone a bit of fine-tuning, which should make your life a little easier. These items now take less time to use, which will speed up your everyday adventuring.

The Balance Elemental has become wise to your tricks, and will now fight as originally intended, varying his attack styles with your prayers. Make sure you’re fully prepared before you attempt to engage this foe.

 The Difficult Runescape Quests

Runescape offers online gamers with many side quests that they can perform anytime or during a specified level of their characters. These side quests have many benefits for gamers’ characters such as gaining access to restricted areas, acquiring rare items which can be useful in future quests or completion of other tasks, GP and getting access to the Champion’s Guild and Hero’s Guild respectively. The Champion’s guild can be found in the southeast of Varrock, where you can find a chicken yard, a range and two shops with various rare items such as rune chain, rune legs, rune skirt, rune mace, rune short, rune long, black legs, and black helmet. All these rare items give gamers characters special capabilities, which are useful in the Runescape quest. The Hero’s Guild can be found in Taverly, the Druid village. Here gamers can have access to a blue dragon, mithrill and adam rocks, a dragon battle-axe and adamantine plate. All very useful items that would help various Runescape quest and missions.

The very first difficult Runescape quest that gamers’ characters can enter into is to help the white knights foil the plan of the black nights. This quest requires 12 quest points and if completed successfully would earn the character 3 quest points. This quest is triggered by talking to Sir Amik Varze in the top floor of the white knights’ castle in Palador. Sir Amik Varze will give the instructions in fulfilling the Runescape quest. As this quest is quite difficult careful character preparation must be done prior to battling the black knights.

Another difficult Runescape quest to complete is the Knight’s sword where gamers must help the distress squire find his master’s sword. This quest requires level 10 cooking ability and level 15 smithing ability as well as the characters’ ability to withstand Ice Giant. Completing this quest gives characters a huge amount of smithing experience. This quest is triggered by talking to the squire in the bottom floor of the White Knight’s castle in Palador.  The squire will inform the character that he needs a new one to replace his master’s old sword. The character’s task is to gather the necessary materials to make a new sword and bring these to Turgo, an excellent sword maker.

The most difficult Runescape quest to fulfill is the Dragon slayer quest where the gamers’ character must defeat the Green Dragon in Crandor Isle. This Runescape quest requires a very high combat skill and various special skill points.  If successfully completed, this quest will reward characters with 20k combat experience, ability to equip Rune plate, and purchase anti-dragon breath shield.  To trigger this quest, gamers’ character must inquire at the guild master in the Champion’s guild about a rune plate. He will refer the character to his friend who will instruct the character to take a test to get the rune plate, and that test is none other than slaying the dragon in Crandor isle. But before meeting the green dragon, the character must go through various mazes and beat some enemies. If completed, the character would then come face to face with the green dragon.

The key to making a lot of money is to sell your feathers in BULK. Many people will offer to pay 1-3gp each but hang on to them until you find a buyer that’s willing to pay 5gp each. The more feathers you have, the easier it is to get a higher price. The cool thing about feathers is that they stack in your inventory so you can collect them really fast without any running backwards and forwards to the bank.

You don’t have to sell on the world you are playing on. What I do is log onto the quietest world to do the killing so there is less competition for the chickens but when I want to sell, I log onto the busiest world and sell there.

If you find a regular buyer at 5gp or more, once you’ve amassed a few thousand, you might try buying from other players at 1-3gp and then selling those on!

Whoever built it, all those thousands of years ago, they must surely have been a mad genius: the pyramid is covered in cunning traps and devious pitfalls, all designed to keep thieving adventurers from getting their hands on the pyramid’s shiny, shiny prize…

Location

Location of the Agility Pyramid The Agility Pyramid is located just north-east of Sophanem in the Kharidian Desert.

To first get to the Agility Pyramid, you will need to climb down a rock slide. This requires a minimum of level 30 Agility. To do the obstacles on this pyramid you will also need a minimum agility level of 30. You can use an Agility potion to increase your Agility level so you can start the pyramid at level 27.

Once you have climbed down you will meet Simon Templeton who will ask you to retrieve an artefact from the top of the pyramid.

If you fail to get past an obstacle you will fall to the level below and continue ascending the pyramid from that position. You will take damage when you fall from an obstacle!

This Agility course is located in the desert and the heat will affect you by slowly decreasing your hitpoints. To stop this from happening, it is highly recommended that you take waterskins and/or wear desert robes.

The Course

The pyramid consists of five levels. Enter the pyramid on the first level from where Simon stands (at the south-west corner). Then follow each level round in a clockwise direction avoiding each obstacle until you reach the stairs to go up to the next level.

Note: You do not receive a lap bonus for completing each level of the pyramid.

*Please note this is based on a character completing the obstacles in the pyramid without failing. If you were to fail an obstacle, you will gain more experience as you will have to repeat some of them.

On the fifth level, the artefact (a golden pyramid) is on top of a block. Use the climbing rocks on the side of the block to climb up and get it.

Once you have the pyramid in your inventory, avoid the last two obstacles and take the stairs (from within the block the pyramid was on) down to the ground level.

Travel back down to Simon and he will exchange this for 1000gp!

One of the most common scams you will see on websites, forums and even in Runescape itself is the oldest scam in the book  the Runescape password hack. Basically the password hacker will say something like if you give me your Runescape password I’ll deposit millions of gold and a couple of party hats into your accountâ. Of course all that will happen is you will give that hacker your username and password and they will take all your items out of your bank and deposit them into their own. If you are lucky you will get your account back – but that will be if your lucky. So don’t fall for the Runescape password hack / trick and just remember that you should never give out your Runescape password that is just asking for someone to hack your Runescape account.

U’ll make tons and u can do the same with mith,addy, rune,steel and any others. Since u could sell full rune 4 about 200k a set, with 5 customers u can make one mil!!!! Fast money for members - cut down about 1000 normal logs. Get a knife, and cut the logs into arrow shafts. You can sell the 15k of arrow shafts for 150k of coins.
