Requirements:
15+ Woodcutting, I suggest higher but 15 is fine.
The highest axe you can chop with (bronze, iron, steel, mithril, adamant, and rune)
You will need 100k-300k cash already.
Need to be a member.
Process:
Woodcut 1k-5k oak logs per load depending on how much money you have.
Once cut take your money and an inventory full of unnoted oak logs.
Go out of the east bank of Varrock and North once you pass the guards, keep going until you get to the guy that you make planks from, and make planks.
Repeat step 2 and 3 repeatedly, this process should go fast depending on how much you cut and how much money you have.
Once you have the oak planks sell them the the Grand Exchange for highest-market price. (Try highest before you sell market)
Have fun making money.
I hope this easy process will help you. I doesn’t take very long once you know what you’re doing but “it takes money to make money”. Before you try to start doing this make sure you have at least 100k I would suggest because lower than that might take a while to make money, but go ahead it’s your decision

Ever wondered why elvemage was only around level 80 and could easily own so many other pkers without much difficulty? It was because he focused on mage and range, not everything else. Pures are players that train usually only 1 or 2 combat related skills to keep their combat level low and continue to be able to hit a large amount of damage.
In this guide you will learn how to make a mage / range hybrid (same as elvemage) except on f2p. If you follow the instructions right, you can end up with a character with 70 mage and 70 ranged and around level 50 combat for the low-level crater in Bounty Hunter.
The main idea of a range/mage hybrid depends on the magic required to bind and finish the prey off (with at least level 59 for fire blast, 16 damage max) or against warriors with armor that easily counters against ranged and the ranged to deal damage (fire blast is very costly).Let’s Get Started Then!
Start off by killing chickens in the chicken coops north of lumbridge with the runes and bronze arrows you already have. Pick up the arrows you drop because you don’t have many and pick up the bones as well. Do NOT bury the bones you picked up! With your remaining runes (hopefully you’re at level 3 magic or higher) cast confuse on the chickens or ducks.
Go back to lumbridge and ask for arrows and a training bow from the ranged tutor. Go kill some more chickens, and do the same to the bones as last time.
Now head towards Varrock and sell everything except your extra runes and shortbow, don’t forget to sell the bones which are worth around 80gp each at the time this guide was written. Use your remaining money to buy food on the Grand Exchange (preferably wine, trout, or salmon).
Getting level 99 fishing is one of the longest objectives to do, but it is also a rewarding one because it’s a good way to get coins. Reading this article could help you become level 99 in fishing on Runescape.
Non-members Method
Stock up on supplies. You will need 2 small nets, 2 fishing rods, 2 fly fishing rods, fishing bait, feathers, a harpoon, and a lobster cage, you can buy these supplies and more from Port Sarim. Although this sounds like a lot of coins, it is not that expensive.
Fish 40 shrimps. You can find them south of Lumbridge. Shrimps are good because you don’t have to worry about bait or feathers yet because you only need a small net. Continue doing this until your fishing is level 5.
Fish 40 sardines. You can find these fish where you found the shrimps. Now you will be using your fishing rod and fish bait. Do this until your fishing level is 10.
Fish some herrings. Fish in the same area. You will still need your fishing rod and bait. You will still continue to catch sardines at the same time. Continue this until your fishing is level 15.
Fish some anchovies. Get your small fishing net and fish in the same area you were already fishing in. You will catch shrimps when you fish these. Fish these until your fishing level is 20.
Fish 68 trouts. This time you get to go to a different place. Go to Lumbridge River and fish there. You will also use the fly fishing rod and your feathers to catch the fish. Fish for trouts until you fishing level is 25.
Fish 93 pikes. You will still be in Lumbridge River, but you will go back to using your fishing rod and bait. Keep getting the pikes until your fishing level is 30.
Fish some salmon. Don’t be to jumpy to move to another place because you will still be fishing in Lumbridge River. However, you will be using your fly fishing rod and feathers. When fishing salmon, you will also be catching trout at the same time. Do this until your fishing is level 35
Harpoon 186 tuna. This time you will move to a different location; but you will need a lot of money because it takes 60 coins to go to Karamja and back. Also, you won’t need any bait anymore! All you need is a harpoon. Harpoon the the tuna until your fishing is level 40.
Cage 714 lobsters. Now you can start making money off of these types of fish. You will stay on Karamja Dock, but you will be using a lobster cage. Cage these until your fishing is level 50.
Methods such as lobsters, sharks, swordfish are very slow methods to 99. The fastest way (proven) is to complete the Swan Song quest. This enables you to fish monkfish. Monkfish are faster than lobsters and sharks, heal 16, and give more EXP than any other fish in the game. Another alternative, which is commonly used by nonmembers is to fly-fish from the earliest moment possible to the moment you reach level 99. It is one of the fastest ways to gain experience.
You may want an iPod, MP3 player, or music on your computer because fishing can get boring at times.
Another way to fight boredom is to chat with the other people who are fishing near you.
If you want to make more money while fishing, sell the fish raw. Raw fish often sell for higher than cooked fish.
You shouldn’t have any items that you don’t need when you fish. You’ll need to go to the bank/cook more often
Join a clan; RuneScape has recently added a clan chat feature, and there are surely other people as bored as you that may wish to chat.
Multitask while doing this. For example, play another game, or do homework.
Check your character often. You don’t want to be killed or teleported by a random event stay where you are when the fishing spot moves, or stay there with a full inventory.
Watch for whirlpools and big fish. They’ll snatch your equipment.
If you have done Shilo Village Quest, then fish there until you want to fish for something higher; you can also lvl 4-5 levels per day, which makes it the perfect place to fish for levels.
You can also feed the fish to your cat.
If you think fishing and runecrafting is boring, you obviously haven’t spent several hours thieving!
Seriously though, thieving isn’t as boring as you think it is. Plus of course, it’s an instant money making skill. You don’t have to spend money buying things you need just to level it. Unless of course you buy food, although I don’t recommend it. There’s an easier way…..keep reading!
To start, you will need to pickpocket the “Man”. Those are everywhere, so it’s not really a problem. In fact, I never paid for trips to and from Karamja when I needed to go there. I just pickpocketed the man around the docks for my trip money. See? Not boring at all, and something that can be worked on very slowly to start out with.
Farmers were next on the list of things I would pickpocket, usually when I was waiting for seeds in a near by farming patch. Farming proves to be a nice matching skill for Thieving. Especially when your level is higher and your seed rewards are better.
When I wasn’t stealing seeds from the local farmers, I was in Ardougne stealing cake from the stalls. This is not only nice experience (when standing out of the line of the guards), but good food to stash for when your thieving higher level people who hit harder. Keep a stash for later, or come back here for “thieving food”.
If you are interested in the H.A.M gear, I suggest going underground just behind the Lumbridge castle to pickpocket them at level 20. If you don’t really care, skip them and keep pickpocketing anything above until 27.
At 27 is when your pickpocketing skill start to pay off if you are a farmer. The Draynor Village seed stall is an easy walk from a near by vegetable farming patch, so you can swipe some more seeds to plant while waiting for others to grow. The selection of seeds you get isn’t too bad, but it does get better with master farmers at level 38. Don’t forget those cakes when you go to pickpocket him!
Money on Runescape is used in about everything. From buying food to buying combat materials. Literally in the world of Runescape money makes the world go round. Here are some of the fastest and most common ways to make money on Runescape:
•Invest your time into improving a gathering skill such as mining, fishing, woodcutting or runecrafting. In the long run this is very helpful.
•Try air running for very quick cash probably the best money for lower leveled players and non members. if your a member give law running a try. World 16 for air running and world 66 and world 99 for law running.
•Woodcutting is probably the most profitable skill in the game. At lv 60 you can cut yew log which you can sell for around 300 each which is pretty good money when you have mass amounts. At lvl 75 if your a member, you can cut magic logs which are 1k each which you can cut about 50 to 60 in an hr.
•If your a member you can try the bowstring method. This is where you buy flax 100 gp each and spin it into bowstring and sell it for 200 gp each.
•You can also try to pick the flax and bank it. You can sell 1k flax very easily for 100k in the seers bank.
•Fishing is another good way to make money. You can fish lobsters and sell them for 220 to 250 gp each. You can also fish sharks if your a member and have 76 fishing. They sell for 1k each.
•Mining is a good way to make money but it is very tedious work. you can power mine coal or iron and make ok money. Personally i don’t recommend it it gets very boring.
•Smithing can also make you lots of money but requires lots of materials.
•Runecrafting can be very very profitable but requires lots of time and money to start.
•Player killing can also get good money depending on who your killing.
If this is the right section for you, then good on you! It means you have already had a taste of what being a millionaire means. Now lets take that million and double it!
You saw from that last section how easy it was buying all those cowhides and tanning them for a quick profit, or if you are just starting the guide from here, be assured, it’s easy.
If you thought that making that first million was easy, then prepare to be amazed at the speed you can double it! You can double your first million, and you only have to stay on Runescape a few minutes to do it! Yes! You heard correctly. It will only require you to stay on Runescape for a few minutes to get that second million!
For this next method to getting 2M, you need to position yourself at The Grand Exchange, the trading capital of Runescape. Here we go!
Riding the Roller Coaster
What if you were told that you only had to log into Runescape for a few minutes, and the next time you logged back in, you would have 100K more GP? Sound like a dream? Well dear reader, it’s reality now. Woohoo! With the introduction of the Grand Exchange, buying items for a low price and selling those items back for a higher price (merchanting) has never been easier! What does that mean for you? That means its never been easier to make money!
Its pretty simple. Here’s how it works:
1. Make sure you have at least 1M.
2. Look in the Grand Exchange for an item that is in relatively high demand, but at the same time easy to get.
3. Make sure the minimum and maximum price for that item varies by at least 10GP.
4. If you were to spend 1M, make sure you could buy around 10000 of that item.
5. You spend all your money (which is hopefully 1M by this point) buying bulk (basically meaning, a lot) of one item, buying at the lowest possible price.
6. Eventually( if you picked an item that can be easily supplied) your order will be filled up.
7. Now take the same items and place them in the Grand Exchange, but sell them for the maximum (or at least near it).
8. If you bought 10000 of the item, and made sure your buying and selling prices varied by at least 10GP, then congratulations! You have just made 100k profit! And all you had to do was place an order to buy the items, and place an order to sell the items!
Note: Buying the items works best on the weekdays, or when not much players are on Runescape. Selling the items work best on weekends or times when there are a lot of players on.
Here’s an example of putting the previous business model into action:
1. I made sure I had at least 1M.
2. I found clay to be in high demand because players hoping to make soft clay are buying clay like hotcakes, and players looking to make their first 100k are mining clay, so it’s easy to buy as well.
3. I made sure the minimum price and maximum price of clay varies by 10 GP.
4. Before spending my money, I made sure I had enough to buy 10000 Clay. I did.
5. I bought 10000 Clay at the lowest possible price, for 70GP Each..
6. I went to watch some TV, train some of my combat levels. Before I knew it, my order was filled up.
7. I took out the clay that I just bought, and I put it back in the Exchange, asking for the maximum price. I went and trained my combat skills a bit more and waited until the afternoon when I know more players log in after getting back from school. Presto! Someone had bought my clay I placed at maximum price because there was a shortage of it in the Exchange since more people are there to buy them.
8. I bought the clays at 70GP ea, and sold them at 80GP ea, and I had 10000 of them. So I just made a 100k profit! And all I had to do was place an order to buy the items, and place an order to sell the items!
Yes! It’s that simple! Try to aim for a 100K profit with each transaction.
Runescape Autoers Explained
When you see someone in Runescape exclaiming that there is an ‘autoer’ and for everyone to report them you may wonder what on earth they mean. Well a Runescape autoer is basically someone who is using a program which automatically carries out a task for the person who runs it. A person will record a set of actions and then when they have completed the action instead of playing fairly they will set the program to continue to carry on for them. Runescape autoers are often program that repeat the more repetitive tasks of Runescape, like mining ores for you or fishing for you.
The Types of Free Runescape Autoers Available
There are hundreds of different type of Autoers for Runescape that can be downloaded and used in the game, but the list is too long so I will name but a few of the major ones. It should be pointed out at this point that autoer programs are considered macros and are against the rules of Runescape.
Runescape Auto Miner
The Runescape Auto Miner isn’t the most common auto programs, but it is still one that is used to make a lot of money with little effort. A good prevention to this is when the rock being mined starts to smoke and the pickaxe will break unless you move away quickly. When this happens to an autoer they are stuck as they have no pick axe. They often avoid this by carrying more than one pickaxe.
Runescape Auto Woodcutter
The Runescape Woodcutting Autoer is one of the most used Runescape autoers. You will constantly see players using them as you navigate around Runescape. There are many level 3’s cutting away at trees, especially in Draynor Village. These autoers will not respond to you, so there is no point wasting your time trying to speak to them, they will not reply.
Runescape Auto Fisher
Also when you’re in Draynor Village take another look when you are by the willow trees as you will see many level 3’s continuously fishing, non-stop. There is nothing you can do about this other than report these abusers of the game to Runescape through the report abuse button.
Runescape Auto Talker
These you will definitely have seen lurching around West Varrock bank on World 1. Annoying as they are, again you cannot do much about it other than report these people. These people set a program to continuously say the same thing over and over again. With their built in mistake maker to type some of the words wrong to make it look like they have tried typing fast but got it wrong makes it hard to tell who is and who isn’t cheating.
What action is Jagex taking against Autoers for Runescape?
On the 19th January 2006 Jagex banned over 15,000 Runescape accounts for using a to play the game for them to gain an unfair advantage. Jagex say that they ‘We can detect this type of cheating VERY easily. Surprisingly some people seem to think they can get away with this, but we’re making sure you can’t.’ Jagex have systems that specifically find people that are cheating by using software which will ban not only the account they are on, but any other account they own. They again updated their systems and banned another 19075 accounts on 11th May 2007 and say that they ‘ban 8000 accounts each week.’
Jagex state that, ‘We will not let cheats spoil our game for everyone else. It’s just not fair on our millions of legitimate players to let a selfish few try and spoil the game for everyone else.’ Many people think Jagex aren’t doing enough to get rid of the autoers, but will there really ever be a way to find one immediately and then ban it? I doubt it. Though with the recent additions of the limited exchange system they implemented along with the Grand Exchange they definitely put a big dent in the real world trading market, which were the main abusers of Runescape autos. Other than that all they can do at the moment is keep on reviewing the reports sent in, and don’t expect them to read them all, there are millions sent in each day.
What Happens If I Download a Runescape Autoer
It is HIGHLY likely that the file will contain a virus and infect your computer, in a lot of cases beyond repair. This could require you to buy a new hard drive or even a new computer. There is also a possibility that the file contains spyware which will record your keystrokes, INCLUDING usernames and passwords. So don’t Download Runescape Autoers.
The Effect of Runescape Autos on Others
Autoers for Runescape are used by people who want to gain an unfair advantage in the game. This involves cheating to become better than other players who are playing the game fairly and could possibly be unaware of this situation. Other players are pushed down the highscores list and disregarded by the cheaters. Pretend Runescape was a board game and you were playing against a friend. Suppose they cheated by moving your counter back a space, I’m guessing you wouldn’t be happy at this stage. This is exactly the same as playing online and having players cheat to become better than you.
Runescape Glitches & Bugs
Throughout the history of Runescape, players have discovered glitches some that are no big deal and some that caused nothing but havoc. Below are only some of the known glitches of Runescape that have been found in the past.
Completing Dragon Slayer With No Magic
As you may know, level 31+ magic is required in order to cast telekinetic grab on one of the map pieces for Dragon Slayer. However, these map pieces were once tradable during Runescape Classic, which meant a pure could buy the map piece and kill Elvarg without getting the necessary magic level in the future. The only way to get the map piece was during the Beta version of Runescape 2, when a player could transfer his/her items from Runescape Classic. This made it possible for someone to transfer the map piece that was meant to be dropped by Wormbrain, the goblin. Since the Beta version of Runescape 2 was only temporary, only a few pures that have a rune platebody are left.
The Runescape Knife Glitch
An old glitch in Runescape Classic allowed a player to hit WAY higher than he/she would be capable of without using the glitch. To do this, you would have to fill your inventory with knives and a weapon. You would then drop the weapon while walking, which wasn’t possible in Runescape Classic. This caused your character to equip the knife, which would add to your weapon’s strength. This meant that someone with 10 strength and a bronze axe could hit at least 25!
The Runescape Pink Party Hat Dupe (November 7, 2003)
Nowadays, people may tell you that they can duplicate an item and make you rich. That is not possible anymore, but this Runescape glitch was in the past! Before, there was a minor bug in Jagex’s code, which a few people found out and took advantage of. This bug allowed any non-stackable item to be duplicated, which meant these people could use the identification code of expensive items and make as many as they wanted. Soon enough, the magenta partyhat (people called them pink) moved from being the most expensive partyhat to the cheapest partyhat. The magenta partyhat moved from about 5 million gold to only 200k gold in a matter of days and caused a big dent in the economy. Apparently, these newly duplicated items looked exactly like the original, so Jagex couldn’t tell who had the real partyhats and who didn’t. Now to this day, the magenta partyhats are now of a darker shade and are still the cheapest partyhat because there are a lot more of them than the other partyhats.
The Falador Massacre (June 6, 2006)
On the “day of the devil,” was the day Cursed You was celebrating his accomplishment of achieving level 99 construction before everyone else on Runescape. However, it wasn’t all fun and games when some people found a glitch that let them go playerkilling outside of the wilderness. Durial321 and a couple others used this bug to attack and kill people scattered across Falador. People lost all sorts of valuable items because of this bug and soon demanded a rollback. Apparently, this memorable catastrophe occurred during the middle of the night for most of Jagex staff members. It was too late to have a rollback, but Jagex did what they could and eventually had Durial321 banned, possibly along with others. Sadly, the people killed that day did not receive their lost items back, but Jagex will do what they can to make sure this won’t happen again.
Other Runescape Bugs & Glitches
In the month of January 2007, a rollback occurred, which affected a handful of members playing at the time. This meant that the last few hours were practically erased completely, and all the things that players did in that time were gone. In addition to experience lost, it was reported that some items were duplicated in the process. For example, if someone were to sell a white partyhat to someone else during this time, the seller would get to keep the white partyhat and the money while the buyer also had a white partyhat.
During late March 2007, there were several small graphic glitches and so Jagex staff used to Wise Old Man to fix them. It appeared that they coded the character of this NPC to “watch over” the glitches and make sure they didn’t happen again. One example was in world 82, where many people were able to walk on the water by Catherby fishing spots. Mod Ash soon patched up the problem and stuck the Wise Old Man there and made him run some code to fetch stuck people out of the water. There were also a few hidden system updates were Jagex quickly fixed the bugs and put the Wise Old Man back in Draynor.
In addition to the Runescape glitches stated above, there are also quite a few of unusual things someone can do while in a player owned house. For example, there is one glitch where a player can eat quickly while sitting down and be able to move their character in the seat itself! There are also other house glitches where one can attack someone else in a dungeon even though player-vs-player (PVP) mode is off. These bugs on Runescape are not reported to be harmful but we do not promote doing this since it can be considered Bug Abuse, which is against Rule 4 in the game.
A lot of players in Runescape like to make “pures”. If you are not sure what a pure is, it is an account that is built for one thing. Such as if, you have a mining pure, it would have a high mining skill, and all its other skills left alone. People can make combat pures that will be pure attack or pure strength, which can be very effective in combat. I myself have not experimented with combat pures, but I do know that they work. So, because I have not actually built a combat pure before, I decided to research and see how to make a combat pure.
First, (starting on the Tutorial) get your strength to three and leave the rest of the skills the same. After you complete the Tutorial, head over to some chickens. Fight these until you are level 15. (You might want to collect the feathers to sell at a later date, to help pay for weapons.) Some suggest getting five attacks for steel weapons, but that’s optional.
They say that as long as your attack is 10-15 levels below your strength, you will still be in the green. Now, go to Al Kharid and buy a scimitar, then move out to the cows. Train on these to level 20-25. You will want to keep the hides to sell. Then, buy the next scimitar.
Level 12 minotaurs and level 14 wolves are in the Stronghold of Security, these can be used to get from 25 to 35. You can do this any way, the point of a pure is to have the main skill as high as it can be, but you only level the other ones if it is absolutely necessary. In the combat pures it seams to me that, especially with strength, you are going to need a little attack. This is so you are able to wield better weapons. Therefore, I believe that getting 40 attack for free to play members and 60 for pay to play members would just be logical, as you will want to be able to wield good weapons. (Imagine having to wield Iron at 99 strength!)
So, as I know, most of you will already have a way of training, I am sure that you can use it on the idea of a pure as well. A lot of people will make non-combat pures to make money. Pure woodcutters, fishers, miners, these can all make great money in the long run. It just takes hard work.
It is not against the rules to have multiple accounts, but it is against the rules to log in on them at the same time. A lot of times, pures are built to make money. Whether by PKing or hard work - that is why they are made. Although it is illegal to have these multiple accounts interact, people find ways to get that money to their main account. Yes, there are ways to do this, but I will not be telling you how, as I do not encourage rule breaking.

Have you have ever heard the term “Runescape Macros”? How about, “Runescape Bots”? They have many names, but they are all the same. Although I know exactly what a macro is in Runescape, I thought I would do some research and see what a macro was outside of Runescape.
Macroing in Runescape:
Basically, when you use a Runescape bot, you are using a program that will play the game for you. There are many different types of these, such as; Mining Bots, Woodcutting Bots, Attacking Bots, but they all do the same thing, get levels. This is against the rules of Runescape. Jagex bans thousands of accounts a month due to these cheats. I cannot tell people enough, cheating is NOT the answer. If people would just do the work themselves, then there would be no problem.
Macroing outside of Runescape:
As I promised, I researched and this is what I found; “A macro is a way to automate a task that you perform repeatedly or on a regular basis. It is a series of commands and actions that can be stored and run whenever you need to perform the task. You can record or build a macro, and then play the macro to automatically repeat the series of commands or actions.”
Therefore, the reason we have macros for Runescape is… The game is built to where you have to do repetitive actions to gain levels. Scripter’s realized this, and decided that it sounded like a job for a macro. Now you have many of these macros out there.
Risks of using a Macro in Runescape:
Using a Macro in Runescape is just asking for a ban. These programs are EASILY detectable, and when you are caught using one, Jagex will show no mercy. They feel strongly that cheating is bad, and so do I. It is just so much easier to mine the ore yourself. Then, you do not have the risk of loosing your account. That should be enough of a reason in itself. Its not? Well, then let me give you some MORE reasons;
Let’s say that everyone in Runescape just up and decided to use these cheats. Let’s also say that Jagex did not care what so ever and let it happen. In about a month, everyone would have level 99 everything. Prices would drop dramatically because there would be so much of a surplus. Such as, one player would own 100M of Dragon Longswords. Tell me, would the game be fun anymore? For the first few days maybe? After that, it would get boring. There would be no point in using your skills because, everyone else would have it as well. What’s the point of dueling, everyone is the same!
So now, you understand why Jagex does not allow these macros. In fact, on January, 19, 2006 Jagex banned over 15,000 Runescape accounts due to this. They also have a system that detects any OTHER accounts used by the player. This prevents them from making a throwaway account that they do not care about. Do not think that you can cheat and it not affects your other accounts.
