The Wilderness is by no means the safest place in RuneScape! This dungeon not only puts you in danger of bloodthirsty monsters, but also the revenants that roam the wastes. For these reasons, please only take items you are willing to lose.

Introduction

Fire giants inside the Deep Wilderness Dungeon

Taking risks in the Deep Wilderness isn’t usually the smartest thing to do, but there is a dungeon that is beneficial to a player wishing to train their combat skills, which offers a variety of monsters to train on with relative ease.

Location

Location of the Dungeon

The entrance to the dungeon is located west of the Mage Arena.

Aside from the danger of this area, the Mage Arena bank’s location is ideal for you to store any loot you get from your kills, if you so wish.

Points of Interest

Interesting areas of the Dungeon

As the above map shows, this dungeon curves around on itself, almost full-circle. The further you go around, the more challenging the fight gets. Each of the main sections of the dungeon is cut off from the others by a gate, allowing adventurers the opportunity to escape Prayer-draining shadow spiders.

Quests

There are no quests in the Deep Wilderness dungeon.

Warriors of the Wilderness

Hill Giant (Level 28)

Hill giants are large and fairly slow, but at Combat level 28, with a large cleaver, they should not be underestimated if you are a similar Combat level. Hill giants have a variety of drops, not forgetting they drop big bones to help your Prayer skill rise.

  Chaos Dwarfs (Level 48)

Chaos Dwarfs like causing chaos! Chaos Dwarfs are known to drop the ‘muddy key’ which opens a chest deep in the Wilderness holding treasures to reward those brave enough to take the journey.

Hill giants can be found in the entrance area.   You can find chaos dwarfs in the room after the hill giants.
Shadow Spider (Level 49)

Found in the deeper areas of the dungeon, past the chaos dwarfs, these spiders can be troublesome for people looking to train. The power of the shadow spider is that they are extremely good at draining Prayer. If you are venturing down here, it may be wise to bring a Prayer restore potion.

  Fire Giant (Level 86)

Fire giants are elemental creatures that are most at home around the lava pools that can be found at the end of the dungeon. They are powerful creatures, but wear little armour. What natural toughness they have is a marginal defence against slashing weapons, so those adventurers uncertain of their abilities should try almost anything else.

There are limitations to who you can attack in the Wilderness. These limitations are designed to stop low-level players from immediately dying at the hands of high-level players waiting at the borders of the Wilderness.

There are three factors that determine who you can attack in the Wilderness: your combat level, your opponent’s combat level, and the depth of the Wilderness. You can view the depth of the Wilderness on your game display. The Wilderness stretches from a depth of level 1 to level 56, increasing as you move further north.

To determine whether you can attack someone in the Wilderness, or be attacked by that person, take your combat level and deduct the current Wilderness depth from that number. This number is the lowest combat level for a player that you can attack or be attacked by. If you have a combat level of 30 in a Wilderness depth of 5, you can only attack players who are level 25 or over, for example.

Now, take your combat level and add your current Wilderness depth to it. This is the highest combat level for a player that you can attack, or be attacked by. That level 30 player could attack or be attacked by players up to combat level 35.

This range of combat levels increases as you go deeper and deeper into the Wilderness. This means that the deepest levels of the Wilderness are the most dangerous, as more and more high-level players will be able to target you; on the flipside, there will be more opportunities to kill low-level players in these areas. Player-killing, then, is a fine balance, and soon becomes the art of picking players to attack and who to leave well alone!

Enlightened Journey

Posted by runescape

Auguste the monk is one of the more interesting brothers on Entrana, but the locals don’t always like the idea of his “air-brained” schemes. This time he’s been working on a plan to lift his spirits to new heights…In this new quest, you’ll be invited to use your skills to help Brother Auguste reach his dreams (and earn you some experience on the way). Unlock a new costume and a brand new transport system, providing you’re talented enough to tackle a unique-looking puzzle.

Pack light and travel to the south-west corner of Entrana to meet with Auguste for a thrill-seeking journey across the globe. Keep your eyes open for all sorts of interesting sights on this Enlightened Journey.

Once you have helped Auguste prove his theories, you will have the opportunity to help him expand his enterprise all over RuneScape, so long as you have the talent and the materials to get you there…

Hi Everyone,

I’d like to introduce myself to you all. My name is Mark Gerhard and I am the new CEO of Jagex, the makers of RuneScape. I have been fortunate enough to have worked at Jagex for some time now and consider us to be first and foremost a games developer. We’re driven by teams that not only care passionately about games but also actively enjoy playing the games we create. We are going to be making a number of improvements to the game, I’m also keen to clear up a few misconceptions about RuneScape at the same time and I also believe there are a few things we have done wrong in the past that I want to apologise for.

To start off with, we want to be more open and listen to our players. Some of you may consider Jagex a secretive and closed-off company which isn’t how we want to be perceived moving forward. Unlike most other companies, it just isn’t our style to spend our time self marketing or shouting about how great we are, we prefer to just get on with it and make cool games, but that doesn’t mean we don’t listen to what you have to say.

A good example of this is that a lot of free players told us they found our video adverts before the game annoying to the point it was putting them off playing, so we’ve scrapped them with immediate effect. We now appreciate that it can be frustrating having to sit through a video advert when you just want to play RuneScape, so we have to put our hands up to admit we made a mistake and say that we’re sorry. To be completely candid with you, video adverts generate significantly more revenue than other adverts, but as one of our fundamental philosophies is that having fun is more important to us than making as much money as possible, we have removed video adverts from the game.

We are also planning to change the way we communicate with you. We are going to be bringing back Development Diaries but making them more regular and focused on some of the different projects we’re currently working on for you. These will replace Behind the Scenes, which we have found a creative constraint on our developers as the promised content has to come out as communicated in order to avoid disappointment and prevented us from surprising you with better or different content. It has also led to compromises in quality that we’ve not been happy with and, most importantly, pieces of content being released which you, our players, have not enjoyed as much as you should. A side benefit of this is that we’ll be releasing more content which will be a complete surprise to you, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!

We’d also like to clear up a few issues surrounding the free game. RuneScape is different from all other MMOs in that the free game has an epic amount of content (we’d estimate over 2,000 hours worth to get all your skills up to 99 and complete all the quests) and isn’t merely a demo for the members’ version. If anything, we see the members’ version as an expansion pack for those that really love the game and we feel both games are substantive in their own right. I want to apologise for habitually over-promoting the benefits of membership to our free players. I strongly believe if you love the free game you will equally love the members’ content and that is sufficient promotion to me. If you can’t enjoy the free game in its own right then we’re not doing our jobs properly. We will continue to improve the free game and, crucially, make it as fun as possible because we know that this is the way that everyone first discovers RuneScape.

We also have a long-term commitment to improving all the aspects of the game – from overall graphical enhancements through to new gameplay mechanics.

Another thing that has cropped up in recent times, which we’d like to clear up once and for all, is the common belief that RuneScape is a game aimed at kids. This is absolutely not the case. We can see how this view has fostered, however, thanks to our over-zealous chat filter, Quick Chat worlds, “dumbing down” of certain bits of humour and storylines, as well as certain areas of the game like the Stronghold of Security, which do provide solid security advice but perhaps come across as a little condescending to the vast majority of our older players. I unreservedly apologise for this and to rectify this we have already removed a number of words from the chat filter and are currently working on reviewing and amending any content we feel is too kid-focused.

RuneScape benefits from one of the most diverse player demographics in the industry and is truly reflective of the worldwide population. As a responsible company we have had to comply with certain regulatory obligations to ensure online safety for any younger players and as a result we introduced Quick Chat for players under a certain age, but this was to meet our legal responsibilities rather than who the game is designed for, it’s probably also worth noting that we have a total of 4 Quick Chat worlds in a total of 165 RuneScape worlds. As I said earlier, we are gamers at heart and we try to design games and content which we ourselves would enjoy playing. I’m an active RuneScape player and I’m ever so slightly over 21 :)

We are also committed to working with our fans in the RuneScape community to make the game a more enjoyable place to be. We will be running community events, tournaments and JMod participation in-game to provide more support to you and make RuneScape an even better place to be.

To kick things off in this new era of openness I’m going to be answering your questions. For the next week we will open a thread in the News and Announcements forum for questions, and in a week’s time I will post answers to a selection of your questions. So please feel free to drop-in and ask a question or tell me what you think of the game.

Update: The email address set up for free players to send in their questions has received plenty of great emails, and we have now disabled it - expect your answers to be posted on the news and in the forums soon.

Have fun!

Mod MMG

Some of you are already coming across a new random event in RuneScape, the Tangle Vine!
If you find yourself in the midst of one of these strange plants, which can quickly grow across the floor, then do not panic. The vines will only harm you if they sense you moving, stay still and they will disappear after about 30 seconds with no harm done. The Tangle Vine is a very greedy plant, and it will attack both players and monsters in it’s search for food.

How-to-Use-Oak-Logs-for-Cash

Posted by amber

Requirements:
15+ Woodcutting, I suggest higher but 15 is fine.
The highest axe you can chop with (bronze, iron, steel, mithril, adamant, and rune)
You will need 100k-300k cash already.
Need to be a member.
Process:
Woodcut 1k-5k oak logs per load depending on how much money you have.
Once cut take your money and an inventory full of unnoted oak logs.
Go out of the east bank of Varrock and North once you pass the guards, keep going until you get to the guy that you make planks from, and make planks.
Repeat step 2 and 3 repeatedly, this process should go fast depending on how much you cut and how much money you have.
Once you have the oak planks sell them the the Grand Exchange for highest-market price. (Try highest before you sell market)
Have fun making money.
I hope this easy process will help you. I doesn’t take very long once you know what you’re doing but “it takes money to make money”. Before you try to start doing this make sure you have at least 100k I would suggest because lower than that might take a while to make money, but go ahead it’s your decision

Runescape is a truly massive MMORPG. In game, you can change small things that can enhance your gaming experience. These are accessed through the options menu. However, some users don’t bother with these, as they seem complicated or useless, but now those users don’t have an excuse.

Access the options menu. This is done by pressing the button. This is found at the bottom of the interface on the right hand side of the screen. Clicking it will take you to the options menu.
Slidebars. Once in the options menu, there are a series of slidebars that you can use to adjust lighting and volume.
The bar is used to control screen brightness. This is only there to compensate for screen-brightness on your computer in general. Sliding the bar to the right will make the in-game screen brighter, going to the left will do the opposite. You can use this to simulate night and day.
The bar is used to control the volume of the in-game music. Setting the bar to the far right will completely mute the music. This is useful if you are listening to your own music through another application. Sliding the bar to the right will increase music volume.
The button will change the volume of sound effects. These include the sound made when you correctly enter your bank pin, wood-chopping sound, mining sound, etc. If you don’t want to hear these then slide the bar to the left. Otherwise slide it to the right.
The button is used to change the volume of ambient noise. (Birds twittering, signs creaking, etc). If you don’t want to hear them, slide the bar to the left, otherwise to the right.
The Buttons. Below the slidebars are button which can also be used to control in-game features. These are:
The button controls whether or not you need two buttons on your computer mouse. By having it on, it means that a left-click automatically does the first thing on the options list, while the right-click brings up a list. Turning it off means that every time you click it brings up the list of options. This is very useful if you are using an iMac, as the Mice don’t always have two buttons.
The button is used to toggle Chat-Effects on or off. Chat-Effects are when people use a code to make their speech more unique. (For instance text animation, colors, flashing text, etc). This button doesn’t seem to have much of a purpose, as all it does is either allow you to see Chat-Effects or not. If you toggle it off, and type in a code, you can still read the writing as if the toggle was on, its just the effect doesn’t appear.
The is used to split private chat from normal chat. If this is toggled off, private chat appears in purple under the normal chat box. If on, it appears in blue at the bottom left-hand corner of the game screen. It is recommended you toggle it on, as it makes it easier to see what your friends are saying, especially in crowded areas where lots of people are talking.
The button is used to toggle whether or not you can accept help from other players. (’Help’ covers Teleother spells, Health Paks in Castle Wars and most of the Lunar Spells). If this is toggles off, the spells will not work, or the other person’s efforts to cure you will not work. If it is on, you will be able to benefit from other player’s generosity. It is recommended you keep this on, as there are only positive benefits to accepting help.
The button is used to toggle Run on or off. When Run is on, you will move quicker until your Run Energy is used up. The Run Energy is shown as a percentage on the button. Your run energy will decrease as you run. The rate at which it decreases is determined by your Agility level and how much weight you are carrying. This button is the only reason most users regularly access the Options menu.

The button is used for accessing your House Options menu. When you click on this a whole new menu screen appears, asking you whether you want to Kick Guests Out of your House, Go into Building Mode or Leave Your House. It will also tell you how many rooms are in your house. This is only any use when you are actually in your House, which is a Members-Only feature.
Remember, on Runescape the changes made to your account are saved via a Beta link, so you don’t have to worry about saving them maunally. Your changes will remain the same even after you log out.
Muting the music in-game will mute the music at the log-in screen automatically.

An amazing guide on the new pvp worlds just released about two weeks ago. This guide will help many new players wanting to be good at player versus player (pvp) combat. I hope it is very succesfull.

“Creating The Ultimate F2p And P2p Str Hybrids
How to dominate in the new pvp worlds….

Introduction: Your on your main account. You’re an average player with full rune and a rune scimitar. Suddenly out of nowhere lower level in monk robes approaches you and says, Hey want to fight? “Sure” you say. Lol you think to yourself this will be a piece of cake. He then fire blasts you and hit’s a 16, then another 16. Wow you think to yourself, not bad… You then take your armor off to fight him. He pulls out a maple bow and starts ranging you, consistently hitting numbers on you. “Omg” you think to your self he’s good. Then your down to about 20 hp, His bow lifts one more time and he quickly pulls out a rune 2-hander…You attempt to eat a lobster…. 21! K0. You add this guy and say, “Wow how are you so good?” Well he says Im a pure lol.

That’s one of most f2pers first encounters with a pure. If you want to make a pure or are interested in f2p pures read on buddy lol. In this guide you will learn how to make this pure including where to train, how to pk, and equipment you should wear. (Yes the intro was inspired by Str J00s ultimate hybrid guide) This guide is designed on dominating in the new pvp worlds. ***Skip down to the p2p section if you don’t want to read the f2p part***

Table of contents. :D

1) A back-round on pures.

2) Where to start your pure off/names.

3) Money making in f2p. :S

4) Places to train all of your stats.

5) More money making

6) Pking supplies

7) How to pk on your pure

1) A background on pures: Pures are players designed to dominate in the pking world. They always have 1 defense. They have low defense along with high attack, str, mage, range, and fairly high prayer. The idea of a pure was first considered in runescape classic and I guess the idea stuck. Runescape 2 pures were born.

2) How to start your pure/names: Some people think the most important part of a pure is its name. You might want to consider a name with no numbers. Something intimidating like the famous range/2her “Most Dreaded” now that’s an intimidating name. After tutorial island Spend your lamps on either range or mage. You should be 9 range or mage just use the tutors in lumby for the other stat you did not spend the lamps on.

3) How to make some decent starting off cash in f2p: Firstly its essential to do both the Stronghold of Security and the Stronghold Of Player Safety for 20k cash. Then go to the Grand exchange and buy about 500 iron arrows, Full iron, Iron, Steel, Mith , and addy scimmy. Spend the rest of the money on trout. Don’t use the trout in the beginning of your training use other food like herring and pike(junk fish).

4) Where to train the stats: Ok first we will start off with our strength training. Get about 10 atk and str and the chickens and collect all of the feathers. Then go to the gnomeceptor cows or near lumbridge or the regular cows and train to 20 atk and then 20 str.

Bank all of the cow hides/bones to make some decent cash for later in the game. Then go to the monks in Edgeville

and train to about 30 atk and 30 str. Then head on down to the minatores in the Stronghold Of Security and train to 40 atk and str. Now your done training your attack. Rune scimmy time. Sell all of the other scimmys. Then train to about 50 str at the minatores. Head on

down to the hill giants (use a brass key) and get 60 str here and bank all of the big bones. Finally to finish off your strength training go down to the stronghold of security again (yea I know boring…) and go the flesh crawlers and train to 70 str. (flesh crawler area)

Good job your done training your strength. Take a break because the next step is range lol. Ok hopefully you have taken a break from training and now its time to train range.

Bring all of bows in your inventory and head over to the chickens in lumbridge. Again bank all of the feathers and do this untill 10 range. Head over to gnomeceptor cows and train to 20 range and bank hides and bones. Train to 30 range at minatores or the monks. Then go to barbarian village and range barbarians behind the tables untill 40 range. Congratz buy some d hide chaps and vamps. Now head to the hill giants and safe-spot range them untill 60 range. ). Finally to finish off your range training safe spot the Ankou in the stronghold of security untill 70 range. Ask a high lvl if you don’t know where the Ankou safe spot is. Congratz, all that’s left is mage training now (finally). Start off with low lvl mage spells untill you can cast curse. Curse the zammy mage in Varrok untill 32 mage. Fire bolt (semi cheap) skeletons in Varrok sewers untill you can perform Camelot teleport. Cammy teleport untill 55 mage. High alch steel plates or anything else that’s alright in f2p untill 59/60 mage and your hybrid training is complete!

5) More money making: Now comes the time in every pures life where they will have to make about 400-500k and doing it in f2p is pretty hard so take your time and don’t get frustrated. For skilling I suggest cutting yews in edgeville for woodcutting. If your fishing fish lobs in karajama and tele to falador. For mining I suggest mining iron untill you can mine coal, coal untill you have enough money, and if your high enough mine mith, addy , or rune. If you don’t feel like skilling then telegrab zammy wines west of edgeville (you have to hop the wildy ditch) You can also kill hill giants for big bones and limp roots. You can also try merchanting if you have the patients. Well that’s pretty much the way you should make money.

6) Pking supplies: The supplies you will need for pking are as follows— About 500 lobsters (got to have a lot of these), About 50 str pots (3), 20 sets of monk robe bottoms and wizzy hats/tops, 20 Power amulets and magic amulets, Runes for fire blast ( you don’t need a lot fire blast or bind is (only for def noobs), Addy arrows, Maple short bows, and rune 2h and scimmys

7) How to player kill!!: Well your either team pking or solo pking pick one lol.

How to pk in a team: All death dot somewhere like Varrok wilderness or maybe barbarian village (everyone stands in one spot to make it look like one person) and wait for somebody not in your clan and everyone piles that one person. Make sure to bring bind runes in a clan they can help a lot. Attack them with your rune scimmy if there far away use the maple short bow (no 2h needed here :D)

Solo pking : This is simple attack anyone that you choose. If fighting a pure start out with attacking them with range and wearing them down. When there health is about half left put on ultimate strength( when are down to ¼ health here is what you do, AS SOON AS THE BOW LIFTS TO FIRE AN ARROW, CLICK ON YOUR RUNE 2H THEN CLICK ON THERE NAME. This should effect in a super fast deadly combo. This will hopefully K0 them-If not then take your maple short bow out and try again. If your fighting a def noob start out with 3-4 fire blasts and ask them to fight no arm. If they don’t take if off there screwed lol so they will probably take it off. If they don’t keep fire blasting them. When they do take off the armor use your maple short bow and k0 them with your 2h,simple as that. I recommend NOT using protect item with your 2h because your loot will be horrible. Always atk people with good stuff also and make sure both of your

are skulled. Some people might not get prayer this is fine.

+ = KO (This player is pkndemon)

“NOTE”—– When and if you consider getting say 80 str and 80 range, make sure to keep training range on ankou, and str on flesh crawlers. You don’t need to get mage any higher. You may want to consider making pk vids if your good enough. If you ever run out of cash just make about 300-500k again and then go pking. Don’t get 50k and decide to blow it all, that’s just a waste. Just get the 300-500k then go pking. You may also want to get 44 prayer if you get these high levels. The protection prayers can help after a fight just flick the protection from melee/range on. The eagle eye prayer helps hit through rune A LOT better then normal. Incredible reflexes is also good.

P2p Section

Do you want more own-age and great loot? Then you have to go p2p it pretty much owns.

Into to p2p: Your on your main account pking in edgeville to take a break of killing green drags for your dragon legs and such. Out of nowhere a lvl 74 in Ghostly and a Gnome hat ice blitz’s you and your frozen instantly. He pulls out a magic short bow and is ranging you hitting very near the 20s on every hit and your constantly trying to get away and eat at the same time. Your blitzed again and this time your on low hp. He pulls out a dragon dagger(p++) and specs you, 26-23 and you fall to the ground, cursing yourself for ever coming here in the first place.

That is a mains first encounter with a p2p str hybrid. They take MUCH longer to train but are worth it in the long run and they are loads of fun to pk on.

Goal stats: 80 range, 82 mage,80-85 str, 52 prayer, 60-70 atk

You should already have all of the stats you got in f2p (40 atk, 60-70 str, 60-70 range, and 59/60ish mage).

The first skill I suggest training is range. The only reason I say this is because it is a great hp skill and it takes really long to level so you might want to get that one out of the way. Alright so if your 60 range go to the rock crabs and use bronze knives to get to 65 range.

Then go to the Ankou in the stronghold of security and train to 70 range. Alright so after that do the waterfall quest. Train on the fire giants inside the tomb and get to 75 range. Then for the last boring part go to the blue dragons in taverly dungeon and range them to 80 range. This should get you about 3-4m coins which is a lot of help in this pure. A suggestion I have for the blue drags is to get a house in taverly (10 construction) and use a tele tab to your house and go range in the dungeon then tele to fally and bank-repeat. Do animal magnetism quest.

Mage: This is probably the most expensive stat you will ever train in your pure life. From 55-82 you must alch. Yea that’s right many hours of alching and standing around. It can get very boring but its worth it so just please keep at it. Alch yew longbows (about 1.5k and then buy more) You should have 82 mage in about a month maybe less. Then do desert treasure and all of the requirements. Try out pking with blitz and range if you would like because the last step is coming up.

Strength: ownage and is unstoppable with a dds spec at 80+ str. So if you are still 60 str train to 70 str back at the rock crabs. After getting 70 str. Then do lost city and train to 59 atk, I repeat 59 atk. Then do all of the monkey madness requirements and that will get you 60 atk. Then you can do monkey madness. DO NOT TAKE THE EXTRA EXP AT THE THEN OF THE QUEST, IT WILL GET YOU DEFENSE. Then after this do the horror from the deep quest for a zammy book which you can get another one from the lighthouse if you die. Then start creature of Frankenstein quest and get to the cave with the experiments.

(thank you tip.it) Train here to 80 strength. Training strength is a lot easier then training range and mage. Get about 50k-100k exp a day and you will have 80 str in no time.

You might also consider getting 70 atk for the Whip

Prayer: Training prayer is easy, but there are different levels people like to get.

11 Prayer: Obtained from doing desert treasure prequest priest in peril.

31 Payer: Obtained for Ultimate Strength

34 Prayer: Obtained for Ultimate Strength and Incredible Reflexes

43 Prayer: Obtained for the protection prayers and all of the strength and attack prayers. These protection prayers should only be used for pjers, after a fight flick it on, or if your getting piled/owned and running.

52 Prayer: Obtained for all of the other prayers and the prayer Smite which drains your opponents prayer, causing them to lose there protected items.

Now pick one and if you need to train it go to a gilded alter and use the bones on the alter and use dragon bones.

Pking supplies: 50 super atk and str pots, 25 pray pots, 30 anti-poisons, 20 sets of ghostly tops and bottoms, 20 climbing boots, 20 gnome hats (just called hats in the g/e), 20 amulets of power, combat bracelet, dds, mage short bows or a karils bow, runes for blitz, rune arrows or bolt racks, and 50 rings of recoils, and dragon daggers and a dragon scimmy or whip and sharks for food.

How to pk: There are A LOT of ways to pk with a p2p str hybrid and I will tell you all of them.

Just Str: Drink an anti poison and super atk and str. All you need is full iron and black d hide chaps and vamps for this. Atk them with your dragon scimmy or whip and when there at one-fourth hp spec them 4 times with you dds. Simple as that.

Mage-Str: Put on Ultimate str and incredible reflexes/maybe smite. Blitz them first then pull out a dragon scimmy/whip and k0 them with your dds when they are one-fourth hp.

All Three Combined: This is super deadly-and I personally recommend it. First find somebody around your combat lvl and drink your pots. Start out with about 1-3 blitz spells and then pull out a magic short bow or a karils bow and range them down in there health with eagle eye on. When they are half hp put on ultimate str and incredible reflexes and when there one fourth health run up and dds spec till they are dead. Awesome k0s using this type of pking. For a great video on how to pk with these styles I recommend watching Kids Ranqe pk vids 1-13 and here is video 6.

Completing this free quest will allow you to use Doric’s anvils for smithing. This is an easy method if you are mining on the west side of the free world and don’t want to go all the way to Varrock for anvils.
Travel north of Falador. Take the left fork in the road since the right fork will lead you up the mountain. Enter a little hut with anvils.
Ask Doric if you can use his anvils. He will ask for some ores in exchange.
Go up to the Dwarven Mines (take the right fork of the mountain) and mine 4 copper ores, 2 iron ores, and 6 lumps of clay.
Go back to Doric and give him what you mined. He’ll then give you a reward.
The rewards for this quest are one quest point, 1,300 mining experience (a big help for low level miners), the ability to use Doric’s anvils and whetstone, and 180 GP. The different levels of mining for this quest are: clay, 1; copper, 1; and iron, 15. If you have a mining level lower than 15, you can trade in Falador’s banks with other players, buy iron ore at the Dwarven Mine shop, or raise up your mining level to level 15.

Have you ever tried walking around in Bounty Hunters, in search for some kills, but ended up being killed? Have you ever wanted to know what it takes to become a true bounty hunters? What it takes to make MILLIONS of gp from bounty hunter? Well look no further, because you have just stumbled about Bounty Hunters = Bounty Money, your one stop guide on learning how to make MILLIONS in Bounty Hunters! Are you still skeptical about this? Need proof that you can make millions with the items you get from Bounty Hunters? Well, this is a one stop guide to everything Bounty Hunters, so here’s some proof!

1. Proof That Bounty Hunters Can Make You MILLIONS

Here’s video number one…

And here’s another video of proof…

2. How to Become Good a Bounty Hunter

Now that you’ve seen just how much bounty hunters are capable of making, you might have considered becoming one yourself, so you too could make your own millions.

Well, in order to become one, you first need the proper stats:

•Combat Level: 55-100. You want to maintain your combat level in between here because you don’t want to be in the lower level crater where there isn’t much people with rune to be killing, and you don’t want to be in the high level crater where people are too smart to be killed. So keep your combat level between 55-100.
•Range Level: 70+. If you have seen the PKers in the videos above, you have seen that they used a lot of range, and THEN switch to an Rune 2 Hander to finish off their opponents (a method that will be discussed later). So range is crucial to getting your opponent’s initial HP down, and that’s why you should strive for at least 70 range.
•Strength Level: 75+. Most of the kills you have seen in the videos above are finished off by a blow with the Rune 2 Hander (a method that will be discussed later on in this guide). In order to make good use of the Rune 2 Hander kill finisher, you must have a good strength level in order to deal the heavy blows that your enemies won’t suspect.
•Attack Level: 40+. You need your attack level at minimum to be level 40, so you can wield Rune Weapons, but its recommended that you make it higher so you can have better accuracy.
•Defense Level: 40+. Defense should be kept at level 40 so you can wear Rune Armor. With the enemies you’ll encounter, some of them might hit very high. If you have Rune Armor, that will lower the need for you to keep eating and eating. And if you keep eating and eating because you have bad armor, you won’t be able to hit your enemy. If you can’t hit your enemy, you cant kill your enemy. If you can’t kill your enemy, you can’t get the armor they drop. If you cant get the armor your enemy drops, you don’t have anything to sell at the Grand Exchange, meaning… you can’t get any money. SO GET DEFENCE TO 40!
•Prayer Level: 43. Prayer level is good to have, because first of all it allows you to activate your Strength and Attack prayers, giving you a better chance of finishing your opponent off with the Rune 2 Hander blow. Also, if you get it to 43, then say your opponent activates a protect from range or melee prayer. If you activate yours as well, chances are, he will end up dis activating his, and you yours. This will lead to a more damaging fight, giving you a better chance to finish off your opponent.
•Magic Level: 31. You should have your magic at 31 for the Bounty Locate Spell. You DO NOT want to walk around looking for your bounty target. Just get this spell and be instantly teleported to him/her.
To attain these stats, here are some guides which you can follow (guides will be added shortly):

3. The Right Stuff

Alright, so you have your stats. Now what? Is it time to charge into Bounty Hunters yet? Sure, go ahead if you want to run in there with nothing and get pwned withing a minute. Stats are the most important part to making a good bounty hunter, but you also need the equipment that will make you ownage with the stats you have. To do so, make sure your bank has at least these following things before going on Bounty Hunter trips:

•Rune Chain

•Rune 2 Hander
•Rune Full Helmet
•Maple Short Bow
•Amulet of Power

•200+ Addy Arrows
•Green Dragon Hide Chaps
•Green Dragon Hide Vambraces
•Combat Boots
•100+ Sword Fishes (or lobsters)
•10+ Strength Potions
•30+ Sets of Locate Bounty Spells
You never know how long you might be at Bounty Hunters before getting a kill, so its best to pack your materials before you leave to go to the wildy. Otherwise you’re going to have to go all the way back to varrok and buy your supplies at the Grand Exchange (unless you can find someone selling it at the Bounty Hunters bank).

Now, you, before you walk in, here is what your inventory and your body equipment should look like:

Inventory:

•Strength Potion
•Rune 2 Hander
•3 Sets of Locate Bounty Spell (3 airs, 3 fires, 3 laws)
•23 Sword Fish (or lobbies if you are willing to risk your health)
Equipped:

•Rune Full Helm
•Rune Chain
•Amulet of Power

•Maple Short Bow
•100 Addy Arrows
•Green D’hide Chaps
•Green D’hide Vambs
•Combat Boots

4. Getting Into Battle

As soon as you enter, you’ll notice that you have a Bounty Target on the top right hand of your game screen. Before teleporting to your Target, you might want to consider these two things: Is he going to be a combat level I can handle? and Does he have a low combat, but has a 99 strength with which you can hit 33’s on me? This two things are to be considered before you teleport to your target, so it helps to quickly look up your target on the high scores list to make sure he is something you can handle.

If you can handle your target, go teleport to your target. If you can’t handle your target (and he honest with yourself), then you can hang around until you get a new target, or exit the crater and re enter for a new, more manageable target.

Try to take a sip of your Strength Potion BEFORE you teleport to your target, that way you don’t have to waste a fighting blow by sipping a strength pot.

5. Battling Your Opponent

After watching countless youtube videos of the pros battling, I decided to try it out for myself. I finally figured out the method that makes them so good. Here’s a step by step method on how to take down your opponent:

1.Start off by asking your opponent if they would care to have a no armor fight with you.
2.If so, excellent. If not, thats fine too (you’ll find out why in a second).
3.First you want to fire arrows at your opponent using the rapid mode.
4.Let them go down in their HP, and keep going with firing arrows.
5.If they safe (meaning they eat too frequently), like before they reach 1/3 HP, then call them a safer and warn them that you’ll leave if they don’t stop safing.
6.Once you’ve gotten them down to 1/3 HP for the SECOND TIME, open up your prayer menu and activate the Ultimate Strength and Incredible Reflexes prayers.

7.This time, when they are going to go down to 1/3 HP, you will pull out a Rune 2 Hander, and here’s how it works:
◦As you are shooting arrows, wait until you think you are about to shoot the arrow that will put them at 1/3 HP.
◦As soon as that arrow comes out of your bow, you have to swiftly switch to your Rune 2 Hander, and attack your opponent.
◦With luck, your arrow might have dealt maybe 10 HP of Damage, but with 75+ Strength, you could deliver blows of 25 dmg using Rune 2 Hander.

◦So you might hit basically 35 damage real quickly! That should be able to take out anyone with 1/3 HP left, even if they have a 99 HP level.
◦Observe the two videos shown at the beginning of this guide to see this Range/R2H combo in action.
If you opponent still isn’t dead, just repeat the process, except this time, don’t wait twice before whipping out your Rune 2 Hander, because your opponent already knows you have one.

If your opponent IS dead, then CONGRATULATIONS! You have just killed your opponent, and hopefully you picked to fight an opponent who had things worth killing for (like rune armor). Now you can sell his armor and the grand exchange any time to make thousands of GP. Then you can kill more and make GP of them too! Eventually you’ll end up with a few million GP in your bank from killing people at bounty hunters and selling off the loot you get at the Grand Exchange.
