Armadyl is an almost entirely forgotten god rumoured to have ruled the air and skies over RuneScape. He is usually assumed to be a good deity, though during the strife and terror of the god wars it must have been difficult to recognise good from evil.

The eyrie established within the God Wars Dungeon has largely undisturbed ice on the floor, for Armadyl’s soldiers have little need for the ground.

Points of Interest

An overview of Armadyl’s Eyrie

To access Armadyl’s Eyrie, you will need a crossbow and a mithril grapple, as well as a Ranged level of 70.

As the entirety of Armadyl’s forces in his base are capable of flight, you will be unable to attack any of them with melee – they simply pull themselves higher into the air and out of your reach while hurling axes, spears and devastating spells at you from above. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you bring a missile weapon or runes.

You must have killed at least 40 of Armadyl’s followers to enter Kree’arra’s headquarters.

Personalities

Kree’arra

Kree’arra was one of Armadyl’s most trusted generals and must have been an enormous advantage in battle. His massive size and ability to ignore many of Zamorak’s soldiers are the great strength of Armadyl’s forces, and Kree’arra embodies them perfectly. With this mighty weapon, the Order and Law that Armadyl represents can be imposed upon those who defy him.

Wingman SkreeSkree is a devout and obedient follower of the Path of Law that the aviantese have chosen to follow, and he brings order with magical projectiles flung with remarkable force from the launchers mounted on his shoulders. Before being imprisoned in the God Wars Dungeon, he must have been highly regarded in aviantese society.   Flockleader GeerinFlockleader Geerin is a natural leader and powerful soldier with many years of combat and many campaigns behind her. Her spear will doubtless continue to bring pain and death to those who embrace chaos and disorder.   Flight KilisaKilisa favours the direct approach to warfare, and his twin blades have brought an end to thousands of Zamorak’s followers and allies. His wings beat ferociously as he bears down on the enemies of Armadyl.

Quests

There are no quest starts in Armadyl’s Eyrie.

Armadyl’s Noble Warriors

Aviansie (Level 69-148)

The aviantese were Armadyl’s most precious children, and it is told that when they were destroyed he wept and abandoned RuneScape. Of course, not all of them were slain – some were merely frozen – and they continue to fight in his name. You can only attack an aviansie with Ranged or Magic attacks.

  Spiritual Mage (Level 122)

Living on after death to continue serving Armadyl, the spiritual mages use their knowledge of magic to rain spells upon the enemies of their god.

Spiritual Warrior (Level 123)

During their lives, the aviansie warriors strive to increase their speed and strength, and to bring the battle to their enemies, in death they are freed from the constraints of the body and become deadlier still.

  Spiritual Ranger (Level 127)

The aviantese have always favoured javelins and throwing axes, taking advantage of their wings to hurl their weapons with great force at the enemies of Armadyl below.

Miscellaneous

  • If you are extraordinarily lucky, you may find that Kree’arra or his bodyguards drop shards of the godsword. The hilt that the finest aviansie craftsmen designed for that blade is only dropped by Kree’arra.
  • The birdmen of the Eyrie will be less inclined to attack you if you are wearing some of their armour.

Mage Training Arena

Posted by runescape

A new arena has been uncovered known as the Mage Training Arena, situated north of the Duel Arena.

Within this building, you can gain Magic experience through four activities, as well as earn points to trade for items in the Mage Training Arena shop.

In each of the four rooms in the Arena (accessible via the teleports towards the back of the building), you will be able to earn ‘Pizazz Points’ specific to each room:

  • Telekinetic Pizazz Points from the Telekinetic Theatre
  • Alchemist Pizazz Points from the Alchemists’ Playground
  • Enchantment Pizazz Points from the Enchanting Chamber
  • Graveyard Pizazz Points from the Creature Graveyard

There is no time limit in each room, so you can collect as many points as you wish before you exit through the portals.

To start your career in the Mage Training Arena, you need to have a word with the Entrance Guardian.

He will give you an introduction to the Arena and, most importantly, supply you with a special hat to help record your progress (which you can regain from him for free should you ever lose it).

[image] With these points you can travel up the stairs from the entrance hall of the Arena to find the Rewards Guardian. See the end of this guide for the rewards you can claim. You can also buy an arena book from the Rewards Guardian for 200gp. This will give you advice on using the different rooms.

If you die in the four rooms within the Arena you will be teleported to the entrance and retain all the items you entered with. You will, however, lose any items specific to the Mage Arena itself. This includes any money that you have created in the Alchemists’ Playground and Pizazz Points for the coins created. Logging out while in the Mage Arena will result in your character being teleported to the entrance upon logging into the game again.

The Pizazz Progress Hat

In order to access each room, you will need the Pizazz Progress Hat in your inventory or on your head.

There is a maximum number of points that you can gain using a Progress Hat. However, after you have reached this limit you can still train in the different rooms but you won’t gain any more points. These limits are:

Graveyard 4,000 Pizazz Points
Telekinetic 4,000 Pizazz Points
Alchemist 8,000 Pizazz Points
Enchantment 16,000 Pizazz Points

Take note, that if you should choose to destroy your Pizazz Progress Hat, you will also lose all your Pizazz Points.

The Pizazz Progress Hat will glow brighter in order to show you how many points you have gained and how many you can still earn. There are three stages – dull, energised and full.

Location

Arena location

The Mage Training Arena can be found north of the Duel Arena.

Requirements

Each room will require you to use different spells in order to complete the task and gain the Pizazz Points, but you only need the lowest level required to enter each portal. For information on which runes you require in order to cast a spell, please see the Battle Spells and the Non Combat section of the Magic Guide.

It is worth noting that you cannot bring any items that will help you in the training rooms. For example, you cannot bring coins into the alchemist room and bananas or peaches into the Creature Graveyard. Also, you cannot bring these items out of the room – by death or teleportation for example.

Please note, due to the ease of casting the ‘enchant’ spells, you may find the experience you get is slightly reduced.

Recommended Items

To complete this activity we recommend you take the following items with you:

Item Obtained From Use in Mage Training Arena
Progress Hat This item is given to you when you first speak to the Entrance Guardian in the Mage Training Arena. This is an essential item when taking part in this activity. When spoken to, this item will tell you the amount of Enchantment, Telekinetic, Alchemist and Graveyard Pizazz Points you have gained.
Runes These items can be bought from stores, crafted by players or found as monster drops. These are needed to cast the spells used in the different rooms.
Ring Of duelling These items are player made. This item has the ability to teleport you to the Duel Arena which is just a short distance from the mage Training Arena. For information on how to make a ring of duelling please see the Crafting Guide. To enchant the ring see the Magic Guide.

Telekinetic Theatre

The Telekinetic Theatre

You will be teleported to a random maze (out of a possible ten) with a statue inside it. The object of this room is to move the statue around using the Telekinetic Grab spell, aiming for the exit square (the square around the edge of the maze with a slightly different pattern). To move the statue, stand on the outside of the maze, facing in the direction you want the statue to move. Then, use the Telekinetic Grab spell and the statue will move toward you. Move the statue to the square on the floor of the maze.

For example, to move the statue north, stand on the north edge of the maze. To move the statue west, stand on the west side of the maze. You cannot move the statue diagonally or by standing at a corner of the maze.

The statue will only stop moving when a barrier gets in its way. It is your aim to move the statue around these barriers

If you leave the Telekinetic Theatre while in the middle of a maze, you will return find a different maze, with the statue reset to its starting position.

The statue has the option ‘Observe’. By selecting this, the camera view will change for a better view of the maze, making the task easier. Selecting this option again will return the camera back to your control. The view will also return to your control should you walk a certain distance away from the perimeter of the maze.

Once you manage to complete a maze, you will be rewarded with 2 Telekinetic Pizazz Points. The statue that you managed to guide to the exit will change into a guardian that you can talk to. Talk to him and he will teleport you to the next maze.

As you might have noticed, we’ve just added a German language option to the sidebar on the front page of our website. This goes to a section of this website where all the text in the game and on the website has been translated into German.

At the moment our German section is online for testing only, which means not all areas are available to everyone yet. Anyone can view the open areas, but the areas which need a login (including the game itself) are currently running in “closed beta” mode, which means you will only be able to visit them if we have specifically invited you to take part.

As you know, we only ever contact people through their message inbox in the secure customer support section of the website, so if you haven’t had a message from us, then you haven’t been asked to try them out. You’re not missing out on anything, though: there are no special new objects or anything new at all on the German worlds, only that the Wise Old Man, Bob and everything else is “auf Deutsch”!

IMPORTANT WARNING: Remember that we only ever contact players via their RuneScape message inbox on this website. We will NEVER invite you via your email or via in-game messages, so DO NOT FALL FOR ANY SCAMS. Also we do NOT have secret sites on which you can sign up for the German beta. Any site claiming to be such is a fake designed to steal your password.

Just as a reminder, your messages from us can only be read by clicking on the “Read your messages from Jagex” button on the front page of our website, in the “Account management” section on the left of the page.

We are not currently looking for any more people to join the beta test, so please do not contact our staff to offer your services and, again, beware of people offering to ‘get you in’.

The people who have been invited were chosen randomly from a list of our German players. They are not being paid or given any special treatment by us, they are simply given the opportunity to try out the new German servers and help us iron out the bugs before they are opened to the rest of the public. A huge amount of effort has gone into translating the roughly 1.5 million words on the website and the game, but some of our NPCs (especially King Roald) have been less than cooperative while learning this new language, so one or two words might have slipped through the net.

Players on these closed beta worlds (139 F2P and 140 members) will still be able to talk to their friends and play the game as normal.

Once the “closed beta” stage has finished and we have educated all of our NPCs about the proper way to pronounce “Wiederherstellungstrank”, we will be opening the servers for everyone to use, just like all of our existing servers.

Bigger bank space
As promised we have now increased the size of your bank accounts. We have increased the size of both free and members banks by 25%. So free users get another 12 slots and members get another 48.
Treasure trails
Today we have released treasure trails into RuneScape. Various npcs on members servers will now ocassionaly drop random clues.

Each clue points to the location of another random clue. Solve enough clues (and maybe face one or two other challenges) and you will eventually find treasure, which could be anything from food or weapons to various rare items which can only be found on treasure trails.

Stronger monsters will tend to drop harder clues which will tend to lead towards more valuable treasure. Be warned the hardest clues are very tricky indeed.

You can’t be on more than one treasure trail at once. If you have a clue, npcs won’t drop more clues until you solve the trail you are on, or you abandon the trail by dropping your current clue.

Treasure clue are a fairly rare drop. A similar sort of rarity to low level gems, although not necessarily on the same monsters. If you just keep playing normally you will get them as a pleasant suprise from time to time.

Good luck and happy treasure hunting!

Just use the enchanting spells which you used on your amulets to give your rings the following exciting new abilitys.

lvl 7 - Enchanted Sapphire Ring - Ring of Recoil

Deals 10% of the damage inflicted on the wearer back at their attacker. (After 40 damage has been dealt in this way the Ring is destroyed.)
lvl 27 - Enchanted Emerald Ring - Ring of Dueling

When activated it teleports the wearer to the Duel Arena. (8 uses and then the Ring is destroyed, has the same restrictions as the teleport spells ie doesn’t work past level 20 wilderness etc)
lvl 49 - Enchanted Ruby Ring - Ring of Forging

Increases the chance of succesfully smelting Iron Ore. (100% success rate, 140 uses.)
lvl 57 - Enchanted Diamond Ring - Ring of Life

When the wearer takes damage which causes their hits to falls below 10%, but which doesn’t actually kill them, they are automatically teleported to Lumbridge and the ring is destroyed. (Has the same restrictions as the amulet of glory teleports ie doesn’t work past level 30 wilderness, doesn’t work in the duelling arena etc)
lvl 68 - Enchanted Dragonstone Ring - Ring of Wealth

The wearer has a greater chance of getting a rare item drop when they kill a monster.
Other changes

Many players commented that stringing bows gave less than half the xp that it did in Runescape classic. We have now changed this so stringing bows now gives the same xp that it used to.

We have also put in the warning to players when entering the widerness

New Dwarf Quest: Diary 2

Posted by amber

We’ve released the second entry in the development diary for the new dwarf quest. This one deals with how the project went from the initial blank page to the first definite plan.

We’ll be releasing a new entry in this development diary every few weeks or so, as well as releasing diaries about other projects. Rather than just offering a snapshot like the old-style development diaries, the new diaries will be shorter but updated more frequently, so they can take you through the process of development as it happens.

A simple and easy to understand money making guide on the famous MMORPG, Runescape. Worth reading if you want your hands on that last piece of armor.
Runescape, an online playing game with the monsters, people to interact with, weapons, armor. The usual for an MMORP game. But to take advantage of people, it is necessary to get better weapons, better armor, and better accessories. But how do you get them? Money of course! GP. This guide is going to show you how to make that extra amount of GP to get to that last piece of rune armor or anything you want but is a mainly non-member money making guide. It doesn’t matter if you are lvl3 or a lvl45. Here is how you are going to start!

0gp-45,000gp
Okay, here is how you start and don’t bother killing goblins an stuff if you are low lvl to make your money. This is the simplest trick but do require a bit of patience. Head over to barbarian village in world 1 or 3. But try and avoid the barbarians unless if you are a higher lvl than them since they are aggressive to lower lvl people. There is a fishing spot to the east of Barbarian Village just over the bridge that takes you to Varrock. People fly-fish cooked or raw trout and salmon over there and often give them away for free since they are lvlin their fishing or cooking. Your job is to bank as many as you can. Bank them at the Edgeville bank north of Barbarian village. Not a far walk, about 30seconds or so. Get about 400 cooked trout and 200 cooked salmon. Each cooked trout should sell for around 70gp and each cooked salmon should be around 80gp and if you are lucky enough some people buy for 100gp ea in. Sell them in Varrock or Edgeville bank. This should leave you with around 45k.

45,000gp-100,000gp
Okay, now head over to Fallador in world 1 o 3. People sell coal here and you can attract a lot of people with coal you sell or buy. Buy as many coal ore as you can for around 140gp-150gpea. That’s what I did. And then sell them for around 180gp-200gp ea. Suppose you bought 293 coal ore for 150gp ea with 44k and then sold them for 190gp ea , that’s is a whole 11,670gp profit! Keep doing this until you get 100k.

100,000gp - ?gp
Now since you have 100k, here is when the big money comes in. IT TAKE BIG MONEY TO MAKE BIGGER MONEY. Remember that. Stick to coal since that is one of the best way to make money WITHOUT going around places. Do the something as I said in making 45k-100k above. Why? Here is why. If you have 100k and bought coal for 150p ea and sold them for 190gp ea, that’s a whole 26k profit you get there! Ain’t sound much? Well the more money you have, the bigger your profit is. Or if you are getting bored of coal, you can do the same thing on yew logs buy them for 250gp ea and sell them for 300gp ea. Iron ore, buy for 80gp ea and sell for 100gp ea. Lobsters, buy for 200gp ea rarely and se for 250gp ea. But I recommend coal since you make the most profit out of it. If you are bored of standing in one place you could try some of the options below.

Iron Ore and above
Okay, the is one of the, THE best skills to make money. You can make your money from lvl 15 all the way up. Lvl 15 you can get iron ore which sell for 100gp ea, lvl 30coal ore which sell for 150-200gp ea. But if you want to make quicker money, you GOTTA get it to lvl 60. That’s when you can get into the mining guild through a short cut from Fallador. There are some 34 coal ore and 5 mithril ore. Mith ore sells from 350gp-500gp. Adamant ores sell for 1k-1.2k ea and rune ores ell for 10k-12k ea!

Normal logs and above
This to is a good skill to make money. Even at a low lvl. Normal logs sell for 15gp ea, oak logs sel for 20-30gp ea. Willows I’m not sure but around 50gp ea? Then at lvl 60, you can get yews which members buy from 300gp ea! Sell normal, oak, willow at Draynor Village bank. Yews at Varrock.

Steel bars and above
Smithing is a good skill again….Steel bars sell from 500gp-600gp ea. But lvling it is pretty hard because you have to mine the coal to bank and the other ore which you need to make you kind of armour or weapon which takes a long time and patience if you are a non-member. Again I’m not sure about member.

Killing
Big Bones, Big Bones give a good amount of exp for prayer. Big Bones sell for 300gp around. You can kill chickens to get feathers which people to buy for around 5-10gp ea.

Tip: Always have a calculator with you so you can work out if you are getting ripped-of or not.

Hope this helps everybody out!

Don’t have enough money to buy runes? In this guide, you’ll learn how to make over 181 million gp by making runes.

This runecrafting guide includes mining rune essence, which I would recommend getting a high level. If you don’t have high level mining or can’t buy the essence, then read my Runescape Money Making Guide .

Before you start:
Complete the Rune Mysteries quest by first talking to the Duke in the Lumbridge castle. Bring the mysterious object to Sedridor in the WizardTower basement. Then, take it to Aubury in Varrock rune shop. Come back to Sedridor and you’ve finished the quest.

Level 1-22:
Go to Varrock and get a pickaxe (highest you can use). Mine 1,120 rune essence. Use the talisman from the quest and get a tiara. Then, go to Falador east bank. Go south to the air altar. Use the talisman on it, then use the tiara on the altar inside. Then wear the air tiara and go back to the bank. Get as much essence as possible from the bank and go back to the altar. This time you’ll only have to click the altar to get inside. Keep doing this until you finish off the essence. When you’re finished, you can sell the air runes or keep them.

Level 22-44:
Get 10,005 essence and make air runes. By this time, you should be able to make 3 air runes per essence. This makes a profit when buying for 30-35 each. You’ll be able to sell the air runes 15-20 each. That means you make 15-25 profit per essence.

Level 44-55:
If you’re a member, then get 12,332 pure essence and make natures. If you’re f2p (free to play), then get 22,198 essence and make it into airs. Relax, you get profit if you’re buying them. You can make 5 airs per essence. That means for 30-35 each essence, you get 45-65 profit per essence. That’s over 1 million gp!

Level 55-66:
36,625 pure essence if you’re making natures; 65,924 essence if you’re making airs. Air-makers can make 6 airs per essence now. If you’re making airs, that’ll make you almost 4 million gp!

Level 66-77:
108,815 pure essence if you’re making natures; 195,866 essence if you’re making airs. Air-makers can make 7 airs per essence now. That’s 14 million gp!

Level 77-88:
323,355 pure essence if you’re still making natures; 582,039 essence if you’re making airs. Air-makers can make 8 airs per essence now. That’s over 52 million gp!

Level 88-99:
960,962 pure essence if you’re making natures; 1,729,731 essence if you’re making airs. Air-makers can make 9 airs per essence now. At level 91, nature-makers can make 2 natures per pure essence. At level 99, air-makers can make 10 airs per essence. That’s over 181 million gp!!

Riding the Roller Coaster

Posted by amber

If this is the right section for you, then good on you! It means you have already had a taste of what being a millionaire means. Now lets take that million and double it!

You saw from that last section how easy it was buying all those cowhides and tanning them for a quick profit, or if you are just starting the guide from here, be assured, it’s easy.

If you thought that making that first million was easy, then prepare to be amazed at the speed you can double it! You can double your first million, and you only have to stay on Runescape a few minutes to do it! Yes! You heard correctly. It will only require you to stay on Runescape for a few minutes to get that second million!

For this next method to getting 2M, you need to position yourself at The Grand Exchange, the trading capital of Runescape. Here we go!

Riding the Roller Coaster

What if you were told that you only had to log into Runescape for a few minutes, and the next time you logged back in, you would have 100K more GP? Sound like a dream? Well dear reader, it’s reality now. Woohoo! With the introduction of the Grand Exchange, buying items for a low price and selling those items back for a higher price (merchanting) has never been easier! What does that mean for you? That means its never been easier to make money!

Its pretty simple. Here’s how it works:

1. Make sure you have at least 1M.

2. Look in the Grand Exchange for an item that is in relatively high demand, but at the same time easy to get.

3. Make sure the minimum and maximum price for that item varies by at least 10GP.

4. If you were to spend 1M, make sure you could buy around 10000 of that item.

5. You spend all your money (which is hopefully 1M by this point) buying bulk (basically meaning, a lot) of one item, buying at the lowest possible price.

6. Eventually( if you picked an item that can be easily supplied) your order will be filled up.

7. Now take the same items and place them in the Grand Exchange, but sell them for the maximum (or at least near it).

8. If you bought 10000 of the item, and made sure your buying and selling prices varied by at least 10GP, then congratulations! You have just made 100k profit! And all you had to do was place an order to buy the items, and place an order to sell the items!

Note: Buying the items works best on the weekdays, or when not much players are on Runescape. Selling the items work best on weekends or times when there are a lot of players on.

Here’s an example of putting the previous business model into action:

1. I made sure I had at least 1M.

2. I found clay to be in high demand because players hoping to make soft clay are buying clay like hotcakes, and players looking to make their first 100k are mining clay, so it’s easy to buy as well.

3. I made sure the minimum price and maximum price of clay varies by 10 GP.

4. Before spending my money, I made sure I had enough to buy 10000 Clay. I did.

5. I bought 10000 Clay at the lowest possible price, for 70GP Each..

6. I went to watch some TV, train some of my combat levels. Before I knew it, my order was filled up.

7. I took out the clay that I just bought, and I put it back in the Exchange, asking for the maximum price. I went and trained my combat skills a bit more and waited until the afternoon when I know more players log in after getting back from school. Presto! Someone had bought my clay I placed at maximum price because there was a shortage of it in the Exchange since more people are there to buy them.

8. I bought the clays at 70GP ea, and sold them at 80GP ea, and I had 10000 of them. So I just made a 100k profit! And all I had to do was place an order to buy the items, and place an order to sell the items!

Yes! It’s that simple! Try to aim for a 100K profit with each transaction.
