The third chapter of my Runescape money making guide.

Ok, so you’ve made your first million of gold or so now what can you do? Well, if your like me, than I want to make more gp, lol. This chapter will show my personal little trick to turn you into a multi-millionaire in a matter of days!!

By now you should have figured out what item you personally like to sell and trade, and know the high and low prices of what this item sales for. In this next example I will tell you how I started a feather business, (I chose feathers to start with because this is how I first started making my money and I know this Runescape item (as far as how to push it) better than any other.

This plan will work with any item in the game providing that is has a generally demand. Some examples would be logs, iron, coal, steel, food items, etc. Please note that I am a member, therefore selling is a little eas ier since I can post the items I’m selling in the official Jagex Runescape Forums. F2P’s may have better results with an Iron, Coal or Steel business.

The first step in creating your Runescape business is to decide how much you are willing to pay your workers.

How I figure this price is to go by the average price that the item sales for, and pay a little above it, but still below the high (the price that you will sell the item for.) In my feather business I currently pay 6 gp per each feather. I chose 6 because the current value of feathers in the free worlds is 5 gp each.

Paying above the “street” price allows workers to receive more gp from me ( the buyer) than anyone else, (most people are offering to buy for 1-3 gp, because they do not know that you can sell them for 10 gp to members.) This keeps the sellers/workers happy and also keeps them from selling to other players.

And as you have learned in Chapter 1, feathers can sell for 10 gp each to members. (If you are a free player view the FORUMS to find buyers!) This means that I currently profit 4gp per feather, which adds up very quickly when you are multiplying by 10,000 or higher!

Establish a Payment Plan

The second step is to lay out some kind of payment plan for your workers, basically when they will receive there paycheck. I currently pay my workers once a week, every Friday (unless I will not be able to be online, for some reason.) I have created a website for my workers, so that they can check when payments will be made.

The third step is to hire workers! This may sound hard, but trust me you can find many very quickly! Everyone is looking for money.The best way to find workers is to go the Varrock Bank and simply type “Hiring Workers, Pays Well, Add me to find out details!” When a person mes- sages you then give them the info. The other spot to hire workers is of course the chicken farm (for feathers) Northeast of Lumbridge.

Runescape Combat Calculator On many top Runescape fan sites you will notice that they provide a set of skill calculators. What are skill calculators? Basically a skill calculator tells you what level you currently are and the amount of individual items you need to carry out to get to your next level. A combat calculator will ask you for your current levels in; attack, strength, defence, hitpoints, range, magic and prayer. When it has used a calculation on these skills it will return you with your current combat level and how many levels of either of the skills you need to advance in to gain your next combat level. Combat Level Explained and Its Influence By knowing a player’s or monsters combat level you are able to tell how hard it would be to defeat them in the case of a battle. Levels that are a lot lower than yours will appear in green, levels that are a little lower than yours will show slightly more yellow, levels that are the same as yours will appear as yellow and levels higher than you range from orange to deep red. Monsters that attack you without warning will normally only stop attacking you if your combat level has equalled or is slightly/a lot higher than theirs. This is different with all monsters as some will attack you no matter what Combat level you are. If a monster is a higher level than you then you cannot just click on it to attack it, you must right click to attack it. This is for your own characters safety as you may not want to risk losing to a monster that is 80 levels higher than you and could potentially kill you in one hit. Each new player of Runescape 2 starts off as a level 3 and can reach a maximum of level 126. This differs to Runescape Classic where the maximum level is 123. Calculating Your Combat Level •Get your Prayer level, divide it by two and then round the number down. For example: If your Prayer level is 47 and you divide it by two it gives you 23.5. You then need to round this down which will give you 23. •You need to add the above result to your Defence and Hitpoints level and then divide the whole lot by 4. This is called a base combat level. For example: If your Defence level is 50, Hitpoints level is 50 and your Prayer level is 47 then you should end up with the result 36.75. •Now add your Attack and Strength levels to one another and times them by 0.325. Add this to the base combat level which is made by using methods 1 and 2. You will now have your melee combat level. •There is only real need to carry on now if your Magic or Range level is not a lot higher than your Attack and Strength levels. Use the highest level from your Magic and Range levels. Range is used in the next step. •Divide the Range level by 2 and then round down. Add your Range level to this and you are given a result. •Times this result by 0.325 and then add it to your base combat level calculated in step 2. You will now have what’s called a magic combat level. So is the above calculation absolutely 100% correct? The answer is no. No-one other than Jagex knows the exact combat calculation. This is why you will see on all fan sites, ‘This combat calculator is 99.9% correct, we are trying to produce 100% correct results.’ Jagex say that they have never ever given out the exact calculation. You may change when the macros makes you eat but you must have the food in your inventory and the auto also will allow you to set a certain amount of life for when you run out of food where it will log you out and this is good if you just won a fight but remember that the rule of you having to wait 10 seconds before you’re able to log out after a battle. So this doesn’t make it that useful in some ways.

Runescape Cruel Miner
This auto, if you haven’t guessed, is used to raise your mining level. It also involves a color system where you take the indicator and place it on the kind of rock you wish to mine. But this auto only mines the ore then drops it all, this auto does not put the ore in the bank for you. Because of this reason this macro is mainly for leveling not banking and making money.

Runescape Autotalker XPro17
This macro is actually a very useful one to have, it allows you to type something in it and add the color or scroll effects if you like and this auto will say what ever has been typed into it repeatedly until you stop it. This is a very useful way of sell items in the crowed worlds on Runescape. Though this is now probably becoming outdated considering the recent introduction of the Grand Exchange.

Scythe’s Autobuyer
This auto allows you to use another color program to buy all of a certain item of that color you have chosen, that is sold to a store. This could be another useful macro unless as stated in autofighter, it chooses from a color so you have to be careful not to use a common color for this macro other wise it could waste your hard earned money on some item you didn’t want.

Auto Clicker
This macro allows you to place it on a certain area and set how many times it will click on this area per minute. This might be useful in mining but the user would have to come back eventually to deposit or drop the ore.

Runescape Magic Cheats
This auto allows you to train your magic but only by teleporting. So in order to use this macro you need to have all the runes necessary for teleporting to the area you want. This macro is a waste I believe unless you have the cash then this is only saving you a couple of clicks you could do yourself in my honest opinion.

Mouse Recorder/Player
This is an interesting macro as it allows you to in a way create your own Auto. What this macro does is records your mouse movements until you stop it and it then repeats the movements and clicks over and over for you. I do suggest if you are using the macro do not move your camera position as it will change where the macro clicks.

S.C.A.R.
This is actually a program that allows you to create your own Autos, but in order to use this program you must first have some concept of understanding of how to create a macro. This can be a very useful program but requires a lot of knowledge as to how to create macros. You may also use other peoples macro files if you can find them, with this program.

I have only named a few autos that I found that work well or ok and have been scanned to be found as true macros and not keyloggers. There are many more macros out there that I will research more on for all macro users but I still state again that I believe is wrong to use macros and that I am against the use of them but it is obvious they are a very popular topic of discussion when it comes to Runescape.

Moparscape Servers - Runescape Private Server Download
Well, the first question on your mind should be what are Moparscape Servers? No, they aren’t the Mopar (motor parts) made by Chrysler or any other auto company. Moparscape Servers are Private Servers which are not run by Jagex, but by players of Runescape who have created their own ‘Runescape’ Servers using Runescape as their starting base when they download moparscape. There are many places in Runescape to train, from the Cows in Lumbridge to the Minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. You can train anywhere there are monsters to kill. So, where to train is not the question. The question is, what to train on. The answer depends on you. There are many variables in what to train on.

The biggest is, what are you looking to gain? If its levels, you want something that is an easy kill so you get more experience points for your time. However, if you are after items, simply kill the thing that gives the best drops. (For this, usually you will need a lot of food, because they will hit you very hard.) One of the best monsters in my opinion for getting levels is the Goblin.

They are fast to kill, give a fair amount of experience points, and hit very low when they attack (train attack runescape for all other guides). This makes Goblins the prime monster to fight when you are trying to level up. Goblins can be found all over Runescape. Now if you are looking for items, the Greater Demons have excellent drops. They can be found at the back of the wilderness. As I said, training in Runescape is about what you want to train on, that alone decides where to train.

I used a mixture of Goblins and Minotaur when I was leveling my attack to level 60. They were close by in the Stronghold of Security, so when I felt I was not leveling as fast on the Goblins, I went to Minotaur.

Friendly greetings! I am going to be giving you a guide to two different quests! First, we are going to start with the quest called Vampire Slayer.

Vampire Slayer Quest

Requirements: Able to defeat a level 34 Vampire
Difficulty: Novice
Length: Short
Items Needed: A hammer, Armor and Weapon, and a few coins.
Reward: 4825 Attack experience.
Quest Points: 3
Start Point: Draynor Village.
Description: The people of Draynor village live in constant terror. Their numbers are dwindling, all due to the foul creature lurking in the manor to the north known as a vampire.
To Start: Speak to Morgan.

To begin this quest, locate Morgan in Draynor Village. Talk with him and he will tell you of a vampire, and that he wants you to kill it. He will send you to find his friend Dr. Harlow at the Blue Moon Inn. Before you go all the way to Varrok, head upstairs and search the wall cupboard. You will receive a clove of Garlic. This will be needed later in the quest.

Now go south of the center of Varrok, and you will find the Blue Moon Inn. (A lot of people cannot find this place because there are no signs pointing out that it IS the Blue Moon Inn.) Talk with Dr. Harlow, and buy him a beer when he asks for it. Then he will tell you how to kill the Vampire, and give you a Stake.

Gather everything you need and then go to Draynor Manor. Walk over to the staircase that goes down. Go down the stairs and open the coffin. Count Draynor will jump out and start attacking you. Fight him and when he gets a full red bar, the Stake should automatically stab him. If it does not, make sure you have the Hammer with you, and the Stake. (If it STILL does not work, try using Garlic on him or manually stabbing him with the stake.) When he dies, you will complete the quest.

Ok, now that you have completed Vampire Slayer, let’s do the Sheep Shearer now.

Sheep Shearer Quest

Reward: 150 Crafting XP and 60gp.
Quest Points: 1
Items Needed: None.
Items Recommended: None.
Items Acquired During the Quest: Shears, 20 Wool, and 20 Balls of wool.
Requirements: None.
Length: Short
Difficulty: Novice
Start Point: Northwest of Lumbridge.
Description: Fred the Farmer’s sheep are getting mighty woolly. He will pay you to shear them.
To Start: Speak with Fred the Farmer.

First, you must locate Fred the Farmer. Fred can be found at him farm. The farm is Northwest of the Sheep Pen, and the Sheep Pen is North of the Lumbridge Castle.

Talk to Fred and he will tell you that his sheep need shearing, but that he does not have the time to do it. He will ask you to help him by bringing him 20 balls of wool. Agree to help him and pick up the shears that are lying on the table in the farmhouse.

Go into the field next to Fred’s house. Either use your shears on the sheep or simply click on them, and then you will get some wool. Shear 20 sheep and get 20 wools. Now, you have your wools, but they are not balls of wool. Therefore, you are going to have to spin them into balls. To do this, go to the Lumbridge Castle.

When you have arrived in the castle, go up the ladder in the southwest corner to the next level. Click the spinning wheel and click make X then type 20 and it will spin all your wools into balls, alternatively, you can use each wool on the Spinning Wheel to turn them into Balls of wool, but this can take awhile.

Once you have spun all your wool into balls, take them back to Fred the Farmer for your reward. Sheep Shearer quest is finished.

New Runescape Billing System

The Runescape Billing System has had a rework to make it easier for you to start or change a subscription to RuneScape.

The first thing you may notice is the change to the front page. From the ‘Account Management’ area on the left, you are able to access two new sections. ‘Billing FAQ’ will tell you everything you need to know about subscribing and paying for RuneScape whilst ‘View my account info’ gives you the latest information on your account including the number of days credit remaining.

When you visit these sections you will also notice another change: the Billing System has been redesigned. You will find that actions now require less scrolling and clicking, reducing the amount of time you spend updating your account.

The pages also look very different, with each of them being headed by a logo that says ‘Jagex’ who, as you will most likely know, are the makers of RuneScape. The pages will all still be on a www.runescape.com web address and, even though they may look different, they are as safe to use as always. So, when subscribing you will be able see the padlock symbol in the usual part of your browser, which indicates that any transaction or information passed is encrypted and secure.
