I’ve been testing some different summoner builds and plan to do a hybrid build later, which might be a horrible idea. This is for starters and also guys who plan on trying to make a more suitable PvP build.

IMPORTANT: Please be unique and choose your specific build and do know that one build will always beat another and circulates that way. Many have rumored that summoners are pathetically weak at higher levels. This is not a guide to create a hardcore summoner, but just to give you a better idea. I am going to focus on twin sword build because that’s what I am currently using and I suggest you guys all leave feedback and try to find better builds for our class.

Leveling experiences:

Party On!:

I recently partied for awhile until my 50s than began to solo because it was actually faster and more effective for the class. If you join a party, you are more safe from PK parties and save a ton of money. You may gain slower experience depending on which mob you train at. Keeping it to myself: Str Summoners are one of the fastest killers on mobs. Why? We have quick attack with high knockback rate which allows us to get attacked easily. Soloing will be faster exp because you have your summon to help tank/kill mobs with you. This can be very boring and kills the enjoyment of the game! At level 80+, we become one of the top AoE characters due to our cosmo skills and quick attacks + splash damage summons. Libio or Beast?: There’s a big discussion about this because each summons has its own abilities which benefits you eitherway. I don’t want to discuss this as much as it is pretty obvious that it all comes down to “how you like to play”. A staff build may want to stick with Libio so they can use melee monsters to tank the hits while they stay back and vice-versa. However, Libio is a str based summons and keeping it with the twin sword build will be more effective with crits and damage. Don’t take me on my word as your stat points might not even affect your monsters and it’s all about your libio and beast masteries. If it was based on your character stats, why darn summon should be doing a ton more damage than it was 30 levels back. Put your suggestion and experience and choose what you like best suits you. istribution: Okay here’s the basic build Offensive build: 4str and 1 heal per level + spr requirement (usually 5 addition for the next weapon, add it last minute) Defensive build: 3str and 2 heal per level + spr requirement (usually 5 addition for the next weapon, add it last minute)

Those are common builds and neither is mine. It is official that dex does not benefit a summoner as much as it does with health and str. The offensive build is a great start off as you will need to maximize the most damage to knockback the monsters. This will leave you more invincible to attacks while soloing. For offensive build, you slightly have a bit more health and defense but will this benefit you in any way? I honestly don’t think so because summoners have the lowest damage and defense. Your main goal in PvP is to knock them back as much as possible and kill quickly. However, at higher levels our attacks and skills does not do enough damage mess up bagis or knights 2moons dil.

How exactly are we suppose to PvP with those hp hungry characters? I can’t get in depth on this section yet and I would like everyone to elaborate on it a bit. I will continue testing and testing and see what helps us more effectively. I will revise this later to update on which skills benefit our build the most and what we commonly use.

Newbie guide (All Class)

Posted by runescape

2moons is not that complicated to play… Well, first thing;
Quests:
I know that it is bothering to do quests because it’s really long and boring and it mostly gives useless items. Well, I suggest on doing quests at the early stage like up to level 15 because they lead to new hunting grounds and dungeons…

EXP:
You gain experience killing mobs… The stronger that they are, the more they give, but there’s a few rules for experience gaining…
If you are lower than the monster level for more than 5 levels, you only gain like 25% of the EXP, I think….
Also monsters that are too weak for you don’t give you almost nothing…
At first, it’s really hard to catch stuff that are sronger than you… like red colored name tags…

Earning money:
Pretty complicated to make 2moons dil… Fastest way at low levels is to kill the “Fire horse” looking things in the map… They are located in almost every map in 2moons… They drop some 2moons items… Sell them in stores…There is another way to ear 2moons dil, if you are a lazy guy,you can buy money on this website, haha

Finding Friends??
Well, you don’t neccessarily need friends but to add them to the list just click on the character… Look the top of your screen there’s a triangle… Press and click Friend… If they accept, you can chat with them in messages pressing F.

PvPs, and PKs
The most exciting thing is probably PvP or Pk.
PvP is player fighting another player. Click on the character you want to fight and press PvP… If they accept, you can fight them, you earn pvp points, no use for the game but it is kindda cool getting them through victories…
Ok, PKs… The most places that people PK you will be in heinharp through levels 20-30…. If you are attacked and the character that attacked you turns purple, it means he/she is trying to Pk you. If you attack them back, your name also turns Purple… Don’t attack them back unless they are REALLY weak because if he/she kills you and you don’t attack, they gain IP points which is sort of like a criminal record in the game. But if you DO attack and your name turns purple and you die, even though he/she kills you, they don’t gain IP points…
Now, you should probably be wondering “wth are IP points?”
Well, IP points…. If you gain them, ANY character in the game gets a chance to kill you… It is BAD.. If you gain more than 300 of them, you go to prison… I wouldn’t recommend on Pking…

These are the leveling places;
Level 1-7 stay inside the castle… It will be pretty easy because you can actually level up by like 7 in like 10 minutes… No exaggeration.

Level 8-15 Go to North Ares/Denebe, they are located north side to the castle… Press M and you see it in the map.

Level 16-24 Denebe… Look in the map in North Ares or Morte.

Level 25-34 Go to Heinharp… It’s the Snow Place north to Denebe… Get a party first… In case you don’t know what I am talking about… Just level up to 25 and you’ll understand…

34-45 Go to Nunvice… It is EXTREMELY high exp. It is located in requires beach… You get there by going to denebe and look the map…

45-55 Go to Norak/Castor 2nd floor… It is the most boring stage of the game… I almost quit there. You will have to walk a lot till level 50, when you get to 50 you can transport there.

55-60 Go to Crespo.. Awesome EXP and fun contrary to the boring caves you faced for a couple of levels earlier.

Well, from 60+ you WILL understand almost every feature in the game…

Whew, it took me quite a time to finish this… If anybody wants to tell me or ask me something, please post it up… I’ll make sure to check it frequently…

2moons: PK Guide

Posted by runescape

if there is something I love in this game is the PK system: not only it is possible to kill other players but also you get punished by it, meaning that not everyone can PK, only those who can level up despite the punishment.

Next I give some details on about Pking and also on its consequences (and how to mitigate them):

a)Set your return point to Parka Temple if you are level 60 or less (I am level 59 so I can talk about what happens next) so if you get pked and you are red, at least you’ll be able to kill some monster and lower your IP without being attacked by a swarm of PK killers (hyprocrites!!!)

b)In order to PK you need to select the target and with the ctrl key pressed use the skill button.

c)If you are a suMMOner use first your pet attack to keep the victim busy (ctrl+shift+q).

d)Use first your strongest attack, use the surprise effect.

e)If the guy is busy fighting other monster (specially a mob) it even better, he’ll get confused and may not realize you are attacking him and not the mob.

f) If he in a mob make sure you manage to select him otherwise he may use the mob to protect him from your skills.

g)If you get IP higher than 500 and you die you go to prison. You must wait there (logging off will not help!) until your IP lowers to 500. A possibility is to pay bail but it expensive (1kdil per IP).

h)Two ways of lowering your IP, the first is time (I believe it 3 IP every 5 minutes (CORRECTION, 3 IP every one minute)) or killing white or red monster (Im not sure but I believe sometimes it does not work, bug?). I’ve heard people talking about losing PVPs but I tested 5 times and it didnt work.

i)If you are red you can use teleporters , buy from NPCs but you can still use parca temple comissioned quests (thus item a))

UPDATE!

j)If someone kills you (pkill) while you are red you lose 15 IP points.

k)If someone kills your pet (pkill) while you are red you lose 9 IP points.

Major 2Moons update featuring all new maps, monsters, pets, quests, and items

Los Angeles (March 31, 2008). Acclaim Games announces the highly anticipated release of the “Bad Moons Rising” game update with tons of new content for 2Moons, a free to play extreme action Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) for PC.

Bad Moons Rising is the first major update of 2Moons for 2008. Players will be captivated by all the latest content and new game features included in this major update, which includes brand new areas, dungeons, quests, monsters, skills and equipment.

“Acclaim is growing rapidly and our coordination of new content into our games has been massively improved, our goal is to deliver major updates like this every 90-120 days and the next two major updates are already on the way. It’s going to be a very exciting year for 2Moons players,” says David Perry, the game’s Director.

Two new maps called Space of Pilgrimage and Aquirai Ruins will feature all new and exciting content, with hordes of new monsters and bosses to defeat. New dungeons such as the Nest of Cherubim will also challenge players and test their skills. New quests have also been added for players to complete for various items and rewards.

The Bad Moons Rising update introduces a new pet system, providing players with new companions that will accompany them on adventures and help collect items. You can choose from 3 pets currently available (Ariel, Woody, and Wiki) with more to be added in future item updates. Mounts have also been upgraded for greater speed, so players can travel much faster when riding these mythical creatures across the 2Moons environment.

Players can also check out some of the all new skills, weapons, and armor sets that are specific to their character class to enhance their characters for the bloodiest of battles.

Some new game modifications have been made specifically for beginning players. Low level quests have been renewed and new monsters have been added for beginners. Also, players from level 1 to 60 can receive special items to help boost their character’s stats.

The latest game update will also feature increased security and spam control to help ensure a more safe and enjoyable gaming experience for all 2Moons players.

It’s a new day in 2Moons, but the Bad Moons are Rising…

MENLO PARK, Calif. Xfire, the fastest growing online gaming community in the world, today announced two new contests taking place as a result of its partnerships with Free 2Moons dil Play game publishers: ijji.com and Acclaim. Xfire’s Play 2Moons dil Win contests and Clans Competitions for popular shooter GunZ by ijji.com - live now through May 16 and David Perry’s Acclaim-published MMO 2Moons dil to go live May 16-30, allow players to win prizes based on the amount of hours they log on. These two collaborations are part of an ongoing effort by Xfire to create unique partnership opportunities with the biggest Free 2Moons gold Play games.

“About 90% of our users are choosing Free 2Moons gold Play games as their preferred online gaming experience, and therefore it’s a perfect fit for Xfire to partner with publishers of these highly-popular games,” said Adam Boyden, General Manager, Xfire, Inc. “Xfire will continue to look for opportunities to work with the Free 2Moons gold Play gaming community to further enhance the Xfire user experience.”

The GunZ and 2Moons items Play 2Moons items Win contests are free and easy for users to enter, as the only stipulation is gameplay. Once users log a certain amount of hours in each game, they are automatically eligible to win a prize. The more hours users play, the bigger the prizes. The prizes for these specific Play 2Moons items Win contests include in-game items and points as well as other “in real life” goods such as T-shirts and iPods.

In addition, Xfire will utilize their newly launched Clan and Guild system to host a GunZ and 2Moons gold Clans Competition. Xfire is encouraging users to recruit as many friends as possible to join their clan and log hours on GunZ and 2Moons dil. Xfire will track the total hours spent playing the chosen game and compile all user stats into one aggregation. The clan with the most hours logged will win an exclusive prize. Xfire’s easy-to-use Clan and Guild system is available now at www.xfire.com/clans.

“We’re glad to have Xfire as a partner and the opportunity for GunZ to be exposed to Xfire’s huge community of gamers,” said Whon Namkoong, CEO of NHN USA. “Xfire provides the premier venue to develop a strong community and an enhanced gaming experience for GunZ users.”

“Acclaim is pleased to partner with Xfire to present this exciting new contest for our 2Moons players,” said Howard Marks, Acclaim CEO. “Using Xfire, fans can easily keep track of all their gamer friends and encourage them to play 2Moons together to win all kinds of prizes.”

ijji’s GunZ is a third person alternative shooter that combines strong, action-based combat with role-playing elements. Equipped with a variety of guns and swords, players battle between themselves in a stylish, acrobatic flair, or work cooperatively to finish quests. 2Moons dil by Acclaim is an MMO that branches out from some of the conventional RPG mores. One of the most prominent features of 2Moons items is the abolishment of individual races; players simply choose what class they would like to play. Combat, skills, weapons and armor are then tailored to the individual player’s class. While gameplay is largely cooperative, players may still engage in “PVP” or player-vs-player.

For more information about Xfire and to participate in upcoming Play 2Moons gold Win contests and Clans Competitions, log on to http://www.xfire.com

Karon’s Transport Ship and Cherubim’s Lair are different from any other dungeons or hunting grounds in Dekaron. They are specially designed for teams and only expeditioners are allowed to enter these two maps. An expeditionary team will be formed by 12 to 18 players and the team can be divided into three groups. Compared to the other instance quests in Dekaron, Dead Expeditionary Force puts more emphasis on team spirit. It is more challenging and requires high on teammembers’ level, equipment, control skills and coordination.

Sometime during the night on Friday Feb. 8th, one of Acclaims web servers was hit with a hack. This hack cause some of our webpages to add an addition line to the HTML 2moons dil as it was served to you the players. The forums of all the games were not effected. Only the main Web Sites and Launcher pages would have been effected.

This line of code linked to a web site that used a javascript 2moons gold to determined if you were using Internet Explorer 5 or greater and then attempted to use 2moons dil a RealPlayer Active X to download and run code on your machine. In the summer of 2007, GameHi promised that Dekaron (Korean version of 2Moons gold) will release two massive updates before the end of 2007. They made good on their promise by launching Dead Front and Road to Sacred Land (non-official translation).

Recently, GameHi released the third expansion Dead Expeditionary Force (non-official translation) for Dekaron. There are two important 2moons dil stage-mode instance quests contained in the new expansion, respectively called Karon’s Transport Ship and Cherubim’s Lair (non-official translation).

Karon’s Transport Ship and Cherubim’s Lair are different from 2moons gold any other dungeons or hunting grounds in Dekaron. Rusel DeMaria: One of Acclaim’s major philosophies is to involve the game community fully in the process, through surveys, feedback on forums, beta testing and any suggestions they want to make. During our closed beta period, our testers gave us great feedback, directly in the game, in the forums and through our survey. We’re working to implement improvements to the game and have already completely rewritten the story based on their feedback. Meanwhile, all-new features are going in that our players are going to love. We are particularly excited about the Dead Front events, which will involve up to four full parties in a mad-crazy series of battles and tasks, culminating in a huge boss battle, followed by a PvP free-for-all. It’s a wild event, and open to players in various level ranges.

WarCry: How did you prevent one class from being unequal to another? And how will you respond if the community feels there needs to be a change during release?Rusel DeMaria: Remember that 2Moons dil is based on Dekaron, which has been running in Asia for quite some time. So character class balancing was already done, for the most part. Our main job was to localize the game and add features and improvements that would engage the Western audience. As the Chief Creative Officer for Acclaim, David Perry is quite dedicated to bringing games from other countries, but not as mere ports, but as games that benefit from the collaboration with foreign developers and our American knowledge of games. So, our goal is to make 2Moons dil a game that meets the needs of our audience, which is why we listen so intently to their feedback and comments. On the question of character balance, if we begin to notice any unbalanced classes or skills, we may make careful adjustments, like any MMORPG.

WarCry: What did you do different to make your questing different then other MMO’s?Rusel DeMaria: The 2Moons dil quest system in part relies on the story of Haran, the world in which 2Moons dil is set, and a cast of characters, both noble and profane. Each NPC who gives a quest has some issue. Some are tricksters or simply after revenge. Others serve more noble causes, while some simply want you to do their errands. The story unfolds gradually as you perform the quests, and you learn about the heroes and villains of the present and the past, and about the larger struggle. We have tried to provide the quest givers with personalities and interesting stories, so that when you interact with them, there’s some sense of engagement with a character, not just a bot giving out quests.

Also, the quest log always gives you information about what steps you have completed and what step you must currently complete. 2Moons dil also has a unique system for letting you know that there are available quests nearby, so when you’re traveling through the various territories of Haran, you may see a quest alert that helps guide you to a new quest. Like other games of this kind, you can have as many as 20 active quests in your Quest Log. So there’s always plenty to do, if you want to run quests.

WarCry: What goals have you set to complete during open beta and how will you use the testers to fulfill these goals?Rusel DeMaria: As with any MMO, we are looking for stability, balance and player excitement in our beta period. We also have several new features to introduce, though not all at once. Because 2Moons dil is free to play, our Open Beta period is much like the real game, but of course we will still be making changes, adding features and fixing issues… there are always issues. But overall, we want to be sure the game is working well and identify any areas of improvement. And perhaps most important next to stability is player feedback, which we will be gathering in our usual ways (see question 1).

WarCry: Many MMO’s seem to be going with higher systems requirements but 2Moons dil seems to be very low. How do you balance top quality visuals with those specs?

Rusel DeMaria: 2Moons dil runs great on average PCs. We see that as a great advantage and opportunity for all players to enjoy a great action MMORPG. We want our players to have fun, and mostly, the feedback we get is that they are enjoying the game, especially once they get used to the system. Because the game is free to play, we want to offer it to the widest possible audience, and that means keeping our technical requirements lower than some of the other games out there. And yet, I don’t think 2Moons dil suffers any by comparison. The graphics are great and the game play is as exciting as any game.

WarCry: You mentioned you could not walk away from your individual store. Why did you decided to do this then letting people leave to come back later?Rusel DeMaria: Well, at the moment we see that as one way to handle the personal stores, but of course we’re listening to the feedback from our players. If it turns out that most players want to change that system, we’ll work to improve it. We are already examining many systems and considering alternatives, but we won’t jump into changes without gaining good feedback and considering the impact that those changes might have on the game in general.

WarCry: Now that closed beta has ended what have you learned from the testers that wouldn’t had been possible for a developer team?Rusel DeMaria: Testers go everywhere. They exploit every weakness and discover every flaw. They have found several exploits, which we have fixed, and they learn how to play the game in ways that even developers rarely anticipate. When you set loose hundreds or thousands of players in a living world, you know you’re going to learn a lot from them.

Among the things we learned besides exploits, was that the original story writing was a bit… shall I say… over the top, and not believable. I took it as a mission to improve that, going through every bit of dialog and rewriting it. Our early feedback suggests that it is better now, but perhaps still even more-shall we say earthy?- than some people are comfortable with. So, we’ll listen to their feedback and quite possibly make some further adjustments.

Of course, during the Open Beta period, we’re expecting to learn much more from our players and testers, and will probably conduct more surveys so that we can continue to improve the game as we go to commercial release and beyond…

WarCry: How does 2Moons dil entertain both the casual gamers and hardcore gamers at the same time?Rusel DeMaria: That’s a good question. I think there is answer, too. For one thing, 2Moons dil is definitely advertised as pure hard core game play. It’s rough, mean spirited and violent. However, it’s definitely possible to play and have fun without getting totally immersed in the levelling requirements and the competition for PvP honors. Someone who just likes to explore new territories and fight new enemies, throwing in a quest or two, or who likes to adventure with ad hoc parties, should have plenty of fun. The learning curve is not steep, once you get used to a few specific elements of the game. And you can play for a long time. The top level is 150, and it can take a lot of game play to get there. Personally, I can play for hours or, at times, just play for a fraction of an hour and still enjoy my experience. I think in part that’s because the combat system is fun, the visual effects are always cool to watch, and there’s certainly no end of opportunities for adventure, exploration or just plain slaughter!

WarCry: What do you feel is the best feature 2Moons dil offers that no other MMO has yet to offer?Rusel DeMaria: Well, to begin with, it’s free to play, yet it has a very high quality engine, highly entertaining visuals and a deep skill system and storyline. This is not a low-budget product, but one that has great action, animations, scenery and atmosphere. 2Moons dil is a game you can play for a long time, joining guilds or exploring with pick-up parties. You won’t complete it in just a few days. And it’s getting better. We’re working relentlessly to add features, new areas and new events and competitions. And it’s all free to play… We are betting entirely on the quality of the game to be successful. There is absolutely no cost assessed to play, and we only make money through our advertising model and our cash shop… and only if people are actively playing the game. Yet players can have a totally satisfying experience without ever spending a cent on the game. This game is a fantastic gift to MMORPG fans!

2Moon tank build guide

Posted by runescape

There is a 2Moons guide about summoner tank Build .if you are interested in it .just look through.Hopefully the article can help you. I believe you will learn something from it.

1st off best offense is defense.
the pet u choose is all preference.
I chose libido because tarantuala does poison dmg. Which makes lvling fast in the beginning for staffs because the poison stacks.
your build should go 3/2 spirit/health and every 6th 2moons dil lvl 3 strength 1 health and 1 spirit . If you follow this pattern then when you reach the lvl for your next staff which is every six u will be able to weild it.

(Skill tree) my opinion. I like every skill except for summon blades. my suggestion max them except blades and twin slash. ( you can max summon blades l8r when u have extra sp to add for those people who have resistance to poison.

Skin of forgotten realm is very good skill dont listen to the rumors. If you are a pvper its usefull. The skill doesn”t last long but how long do most pvp battles last? your answer Not very long. It adds alot of defense. I have it at 2moons dil lvl 3 right now and it adds like 50 defense not sure exact numbers.

thorns and evolt max them out right away. low mana cost for pve so grinding is good when 2moons dil lvling. also good for pvp but later on that. summon of bats is good for healing and aoe before u get summon of ghosts. good also in pvp my opinion. usually hits enemy 3-4 times and dmg is reasonable. Not a bad skill.

Use poison accesories or magic dmg accessories thats it. forget fire and other elements you’re a summoner not a mage.
(only use element stuff to kill bosses)

Grinding- There is no fast way of lvling except for 2moons dil lvling. 5-12 lvl in noob maze
12-34 castor
34-50 nunvince dungeon requies beach
50-60 castor floor 2- when you reach 2moons dil lvl 52 you get summoner of ghost. aggro mobs to gather your mobs around you and use summoner of ghost and bats. when doing this u will be aoeing and healing. faster experience.
60-crespo ( dungeon )although you can go here at 55

pvp-staff can be very good at pvp.

summoners-worthless fights-if higher 2moons gold lvls u will probably lose if they built right-lower lvls you will win

summoner swords-the trick is fight them head on. 1st cast SOFR tap Tilda summons of bats evolt thorn spam those 3. spam all skills if u have more but evolt and thorn have least cool down and least mana usage which can be a life saver if u need to pot hp. you should push the tilda key after every skill. the tilda key 2moons gold is ~ for those who dont know. use bats often and pot. dnt be cheap buy pots to fill up cuz those could be what saves u in any pvp match. I mean use the right amount for your health and mana. not 480 hp when u have 3500 hp make sense of it. you can win because you should be able to outlast them. You should have more hp and defense. If they have high defense then they are probably to weak to kill you.

summoner staffs-dnt bother fighting unless pking-best tip is be fast at comboing.

mages-tank them- they are easy to overwhelm with summon ,staff, and skills hitting they can die fast even if they are higher lvls. not way higher but within 8 lvls its possible to win.

segnales-same method as mage tank them.

Ash Knight- If lower or even lvl you should be able to tank them. funny thing is most players try to put more offensive dmg which makes it easier for you. if higher lvl keeps as much distance as possible without pulling your summon away from him. Just let your summon do the attking while u run in circles. he will start to get annoyed from your summon and start attking it. this is when u spam skills untill he comes for you. if you feel comfortable with how much dmg you done then tank. if not continue to run. Your summon dmgs enemies hp so either they attk it or you. Kiting can be good if u super pro but much of the time you will find that if you shoot a skill sometimes they sneak a hit in. which can mess up your whole rotation. if u do it right your summon can weaken him big time. you can usually tell when someone is starting to feel like its a losing battle for them.

Bagis-same as Ash Knight.

Hunter Archers- Same as Mages tank em

Hunter Daggers- These girls are tuff. If they built right with health you will find that they cancel skills alot. The aoe can kill you and summon at the same time. if u are using abedon use tarantula. I say this cuz tarantula wont always run to you if attking while 2moons dil abeddon will come close and hunters are close attkers. tank them but use bats and venom shot to push him back while your attking.

beginning of every battle use SOFR and resummon if your beast isn’t full and don’t be afraid to tank just because your staff.
Weaken them b4 tanking unless its a mage segnale or hunter. People have this belief that a staff summoner cant tank. That is false, all extra damage will help.
good trick is using both hands to pvp. one hand for skill keys and the other forr potting.

Please dont flame if its helpful utilize it. If not then you probably know how to play 2moons dil so why are you reading my guide.
goodluck and have fun builds should be your own because if you all build the same then players will no how to counter it. Use it as a guideline.
