Whether you’re stocking up on Summoning seconds or piling up the PKing potions, extra bank spaces are always very handy. If you haven’t already done so, maximise your preparations for the return of free trade and the Wilderness on February 1st by taking advantage of the free spaces you receive as a reward for registering and verifying your email address.

Remember that registering your email address to your account is an excellent extra security measure, and to reward you for caring so much about your RuneScape account we give you 10 extra free spaces in your bank. If you already have a verified email login you will have received the spaces automatically.

Both members and free players can benefit from these spaces and they bring the total of free player bank spaces to 78 and member spaces to 516. That’s enough room for a serious arsenal of deadly weapons, oodles of loot and a rainbow of runes! To register an email address to your account, click here.

A new downloadable wallpaper with the iconic green dragon is now available to celebrate the forthcoming return of the Wilderness. Why not head over to our downloads section and get ready for the fight of your life!

We’ve also added a couple of guides about the Wilderness and free trade to the Game Guide, for those players who are unfamiliar with them.

Free trade and the Wilderness are almost here and I’m sure you’re all sharpening your swords, crafting your runes and starving your familiar to make it extra specially vicious. With bands of adventurers preparing to reclaim the Wilderness, it’s time to force the previous tenants out to make way for a new breed of danger.

The revenants have long been a thorn in the side of Wilderness warriors, with their incorporeal gloating and sneaky use of all three combat mechanics. Well no longer! This weekend we will be organising raids into the heart of the Wilderness, to seek out and destroy this spectral menace once and for all!

We’re calling on you to help us in this task in what will be your last chance to kick nine shades of ectoplasm out of the revenants. No doubt, after such an onslaught, they’ll be seeking new pastures somewhere in Gielinor…

If you’d like to be a part of RuneScape history and show the world that you helped make a difference, then join us in the events forums and help us banish the revenants from the Wilderness forever!

Upcoming RuneScape update

Posted by cow

According to what we know about January’s updates, the only thing that we’re looking forward to now is the Hati wolf (hopefully we should see it by Tuesday). Why do you think that guy’s glowing in the second pic? Is it because he’s wearing the combat XP doubling gloves dropped by the Hati wolf?

In other news, Jagex has promised to reveal some more information next Monday about the upcoming free-trade and wilderness PKing updates.

As you can see here the Dragon Chainbody and Dragon Platebody basically have very identical graphs. Also if you take a glance at the 180 day chart for both of these items you can see that just in the past 30 days both the drag chain and pl8 have reached an 180 day high and low in a small period of time. I posted these graphs to get your opinion on whats next for these items? Do you think that with the new update they will take a huge rise/fall or just stay steady? Also of course…do you think its time to invest???

Nice find. If i could guess, i would -myself- say one update for security before taking any action. With the update, however? i would strongly suggest a huge fall. Why?

New GWD items. Most of the people are starting to sell their rares to try to hoard / obtain these new GWD armors before hand, I’ve taken a fall with Green H’weens due to this case + the free trade implement, Also remember the free trade implement will have an effect on this as such. I’d have to do more research on the dplate and chain, though. :p

Dave you are right in what you have heard.

With free trade all you had to do was camp out at draynor bank buying all willows for 28-30gp ea. You could easily get 50K+ logs per day. Then go to varrock east bank along the east wall and sell for 35-40ea.

Did the same with Yews at edgeville bank, buy for 380-400 ea and then sell at varrock for 480-550 ea. Again you could easily get 50k+ logs per day.

You could do the same thing at al kharid bank with cow hides although I can’t remember the pricing for these.

Used to be able to buy cooked sharks for just over 1k ea in varrock and then sell at edgeville bank to the pkers for 2k each because edgeville was pretty much the official Pk area back then.

As you can see here the Dragon Chainbody and Dragon Platebody basically have very identical graphs. Sorry guys, I have been busy lately so I normally don’t have too much time. By the time I jump on RS and buy/sell my flips I have to get going for work etc.Good news though. I have moved my way up from the 4mill I began with to a nice 29mill. That has been through out around 1 and a half months worth of flipping. The bad news is that I invested 16.5mill into dragon arrows right before they dropped. I was flipping them regularly whilst they were rising and I thought there was still another good 2 days of growth in them. From their drop so far I am still trying to sell them however the price has dropped so much the price for all is already down to 14mill so I have lost at least 2.5mill with them so far.Slim I’ll be sure to try and post some screen shots by the weekend for you.At the moment I have flipping Oak and Maple logs. I do this in 50-75k lots and make around 500k for each (1mill per flip for both.)Doing this amount allows me to put the buy offer in overnight and get them selling whilst I am at work the next day. Before I put so much money in dragon arrows I was able to also do the same with yew logs at a smaller amount to add an extra 300-400k to the flip giving me a nice total of 1.4mill per 24-48 hour flip. Also if anyone is looking for an item to flip, Dragon Platelegs give an amazing profit regardless on whether they are dropping or rising. I have been doing at least flip for 10 dragon legs per day over the past month and they are still working a treat. It is an easy 200k per flip.——–I have managed to gain a real advantage in flipping dropping items, I have very rarely flipped a rising item (dragon platelegs are an exception). Although I probably shouldn’t say that considering the loss I am currently having with dragon arrows.Statistics: Posted by StormedS — Thu Jan 06, 2011 5:46 am
