Official quest description: Rumours abound throughout Varrock and Al-Kharid that an archaeologist has discovered some clues to a large hoard of treasure hidden somewhere deep in the desert south of Al-Kharid. Anybody prepared to offer him assistance in his treasure hunting could well find themselves benefiting from a very large reward indeed…

  • 10 Slayer.gif

  • Temple of Ikov
  • Priest in Peril
  • Troll Stronghold
  • Waterfall Quest
  • Level 43 Prayer and a high combat level (85+) are strongly advised.
  • Level 60 Attack would be helpful, in order to wield Dragon weapons.
  • A high Magic level would be beneficial, as many of the fights are made easier with Magic.
  • Able to defeat high levelled monsters up to level 174.
    Note: Only the quests are required to start the quest.

  • Required:
    • About 1500 Coins (650 for Beer, the rest for carpet rides)
    • Several Shantay Passes or a Camulet
    • Ashes
    • Blood rune
    • Bones
    • Charcoal
    • 6 Molten glass
    • 12 Magic logs
    • 6 Steel bars
    • Chocolate cake
    • Spiked Boots (see Death Plateau)
    • 4-5 Super restore potions
    • Garlic
    • Silver bar
    • Spice
    • Pestle and mortar
    • Facemask (can be replaced by either some Masked earmuffs or a Slayer helmet)
    • Tinderbox
    • Ice Gloves (Kill ice queen or heroes guild])
    • 5-15 Lockpicks (depending on Thieving level).
  • Strongly recommended:
    • 59 or more Magic level.
    • Waterskin (Though unnecessary with an Enchanted water tiara)
    • 30 Sharks or better food
    • Armour Including Split bark armour, Black d hide
    • Weapon Whip Dragon dagger p++
    • Runes for combat
    • Law runes for teleportation
    • Druid Pouches
    • 5-10 energy or super energy potions (bring more for when you enter the pyramid) As an alternative you can use the Spirit terrorbird along with some Tireless Run scrolls
    • Anti-Poison potion
    • 12 or more Prayer potions (or extra Super restore potions)
    • A single-click teleport (e.g. ectophial, or a Teleport tablet) for escaping fights that turn sour.
    • A dwarf multicannon could provide a great advantage in most of the fights.
    • A kitten, cat or pet dog can be useful when fighting Damis
