Ever see those level 100 people walking around and acting like they’re “all that”? Wanna be like them? You don’t have to be a member, but you do need some patience. Sometimes it takes a while, but this can make it faster!

Monsters
Purchase a weapon (ideally a scimitar for free players made of the best metal you can wield and a dragon longsword for members, since they have the best combination of speed, price, and power) Check the in-game guide by clicking on your attack skill, and you will see a popup of all the different metals you can use.
On your attack menu, there should be a controlled fighting option, usually coming third on the list. Most often, this will be called “lunge.”
Buy a multitude of strength potions. These can be made in P2P(members) with herblore. Additionally, raise your prayer level so you can use some defense prayers, and bring along some good food. Go to Varrock, and by the east gate there is some training dummies.Do not use your Strength potions, but keep attacking them. They always give you exp,but you can only train attack up to level 9.
Find a spot populated by many monsters a few levels lower than you are. A good place to do this is in the Stronghold of Security. Go down the hole in the middle of Barbarian Village (west of Varrock) to get there. Start killing the monsters that fit the “slightly below your level” range.
Be sure to drink a Strength potion whenever your strength level goes to the normal amount. A higher strength level, even temporarily, will make you hit harder, which means more experience points (xp) faster. Keep an eye on your health, and eat food whenever it gets low. Be sure to pick up drops and bury bones.
Once you are on your last bits of food, turn on your defense prayer. The monsters will hit you less, so you can stay there longer. Be sure you recharge at an altar when you’re done, though.
Monks
Bring a cheese string if you are not level 20 or higher.
Go to the monks near the wilderness (its scary down there)
Hit the monks and keep that up until you reach the level you want your player to reach.
Tips

Strength and attack levels raise your level quicker than defence and hitpoint levels. Use the chop setting in your attack menu to raise attack, and slash to raise strength. Raise your defense level too, as this is also important.
If you are a member, the process of raising your levels is slightly easier. You can kill Rock Crabs north of Relekka and Experiments in Fenkenstrain’s dungeon as these monsters have low combat levels but high amounts of hitpoints. You do not need food for these activities if your level is high enough.
Also, play the minigame Pest Control. Although it is only available to members, this provides you with initial experience points from killing monsters, as well as money from winning the game. To make a triple-treat, when you win, you are awarded points which can be redeemed for experience in a combat skill.
It’s important to get your cooking level up so you can cook various types of foods. For example, Anchovy Pizza heals 18 hitpoints with a cooking level of 55. Also, get your fishing up, as Lobsters and Swordfish both are awesome foods. You might moan and groan about getting to level 40 fishing and cooking, but these skills are not hard to raise up to lvl 40; in fact it isn’t hard to get 10 fishing and cooking levels in one hour if you do everything right.
When training range and your around level 40 Range, train on Moss Giants or Lesser Demons(level 42 and 82) from behind rocks (I think this is the fastest FTP (free to play) way of training Range.
For members, the Tz-haar fight caves are perfect to train on. You will never lose anything when you die, and you respawn right outside of it, even better, you get Tokkul, a new type of currency, every time you die. You can buy weapons, runes, armor and more there. You never need food or potions, unless you are trying to beat every wave of the monsters.
Although lesser demons are level 82, they are not hard to beat. I have seen a level 9 mage with fire strike kill lessers from behind stalagmites, and they did not hit him once. Of course, meelee warriors have to go out into the open, but it still is not difficult.
Kill Hill giants. They get killed pretty easily and drop big bones to level up Prayer or sell. Also, you could go into the Varrock Sewers, the skeletons there are pretty easy/good to kill. Finally, Elemental Wizards (South of the Air Altar which is south of Falador) are level 13 and they have 25 hp, meaning 100exp per kill, which is good for F2P. However, they are powerful for their level as they use their corresponding Bolt Spells (Airs use Air Bolt, etc.) When you kill them, they drop runes of their kind and ashes. Do not use their corresponding spells on them, for instance, do not use Fire spells on a Fire wizard, etc. Lastly, do not wear metal armor when fighting them.
Kill lvl 45 skeletons on Crandor Island. They give around 250-300 xp each kill which will vary on some occasions. They are better then lesser demons until your lvl 100+ and you totally own lessers. The only reason they are better is: Lessers give 420 xp per kill, skeletons 300. You kill 2 skeletons in the time of 1 lesser

Ever wondered why elvemage was only around level 80 and could easily own so many other pkers without much difficulty? It was because he focused on mage and range, not everything else. Pures are players that train usually only 1 or 2 combat related skills to keep their combat level low and continue to be able to hit a large amount of damage.

In this guide you will learn how to make a mage / range hybrid (same as elvemage) except on f2p. If you follow the instructions right, you can end up with a character with 70 mage and 70 ranged and around level 50 combat for the low-level crater in Bounty Hunter.

The main idea of a range/mage hybrid depends on the magic required to bind and finish the prey off (with at least level 59 for fire blast, 16 damage max) or against warriors with armor that easily counters against ranged and the ranged to deal damage (fire blast is very costly).Let’s Get Started Then!

Start off by killing chickens in the chicken coops north of lumbridge with the runes and bronze arrows you already have. Pick up the arrows you drop because you don’t have many and pick up the bones as well. Do NOT bury the bones you picked up! With your remaining runes (hopefully you’re at level 3 magic or higher) cast confuse on the chickens or ducks.

Go back to lumbridge and ask for arrows and a training bow from the ranged tutor. Go kill some more chickens, and do the same to the bones as last time.

Now head towards Varrock and sell everything except your extra runes and shortbow, don’t forget to sell the bones which are worth around 80gp each at the time this guide was written. Use your remaining money to buy food on the Grand Exchange (preferably wine, trout, or salmon).

Ever wanted the magic skill cape, Ancient Magicks, or just 99 magic? This guide will show you how to get 99 magic quite cheaply.

Cast your first spell on goblins in Lumbridge and pick up the runes.
At level 1 magic, use your experience lamps (from Tutorial Island) for magic.
Go to the Player Safety center. Read all the plaques, then ask to go upstairs. Upstairs, you will have to take a test. then, you will receive 2 exp lamps. Use them for magic.
By now, you should be about level 11, maybe 12.
Cast weaken 118 times. This should cost about 5k.
You can cast curse. By now, there are 2 ways to train magic.
Once you cast weaken enough times, use wind bolt in Fist of Guthix. you may also get rewards. At level 17, your bolt won’t be too accurate. Cast wind bolt 1058 times. this may be a lot, but this is free.
Go to hill giants once you’re over level 20 magic and then go to the safe spot behind the pillars. This is fast xp and gives you big bones which you can sell, or bury for prayer levels. If you’re getting bored with hill giants, you can go to Varrock castle and cast the curse spells or any of the other none-attacking spells on the npc inside the cage. This is a good spot to train if you want magic levels and not hit point levels.
Cast curse 134 times. Once you get 25 magic, go for law running, with the assist system. This can get you free laws. You can only do this if you are a member. cast varrock teleport 298 times.
Now, you can cast Telekinetic grab. Go to the nature rune spawn in level 42 wilderness, and grab the nature runes. These runes will come in handy later; don’t sell them! Cast this 747 times. If you don’t want to risk going into the wilderness, you can go into the Varrock basement, and telegrab the gold ore. The ore takes a long time to respawn, but this is safer. You will need 747 laws and an air staff.
Now you can superheat items! Steel and mithril bars are the best to smith. It is also recommended you have completed The Knights Sword quest. Cast this 2195 times. If you went into the wilderness, then that’s great, if not, you may have to use 100-200k for this part.
Understand that high level alchemy is best. Green d’hide, magic and yew longbows, adamant platebodies, ruby bracelets, amulets of defense, and (surprisingly) adamant battleaxes are the best to high alch. Try getting some of the nature runes from the Nature Rune Isle. You have to cast 197,967 high alchs!
Great! you got 99 magic! Now you can go show it off to your friends.
Tips

It’s a good idea to bring some food when going into the wilderness.
Another option is to buy a mud staff and cast curse. this costs 4-5M
Fist of Guthix is a slow option that’s free. if you have 200k+, you don’t need to go to Fist of Guthix.
Look in the grand exchange for other items that cost less than the high alchemy price.
Free laws = Free natures!
It should take about a month or two to get from 55 magic to 99.
Don’t get burnt out. If all you do all day is alch, you will get extremely bored and never want to do magic again.
Try watching television or a movie while you alch.
Nats is short for nature runes.
To save even more money and get your Runecrafting up, you can make all of your runes.
ALSO you may want to try fist of guthix if your low on cash

Easiest-Skills-to-Get-to-99

Posted by amber

Sick of watching countless people walking by, boasting their skill cape, talking down to their “subjects” during one of your sessions in Runescape? I know I am. So here is a quick list of skills that take the shortest amount of time and effort to get up to 99 to get the skill cape so you can become one of those jerks!

1. Fletching - Hands down, the easiest skill in all of Runescape to master. Quick to level up, no effort is really needed, just click on your bank and take out some logs, fletch them, put them in the bank, repeat. You dont even have to get your own logs. Just stand by the Grand Exchange and buy logs (assuming you do have the money) and begin your ascention into ninety-ninedom.

2. Woodcutting- Similar to flecthing, and if you want to take out two birds with one stone then you could knock out woodcutting and fletching at the same time.

3. Cooking- Again, similar to fletching in that you can buy all of the food you want from the Grand Exchange, only you cant stand right in your bank and gain levels, you must find a range, cook, run back to your bank and restock. (Catherby is an excellent place to do this).

4. Hunter- People will be surprised to see this ahead of fishing but I do have a reason. You can get 99 in Hunter much more quickly than in fishing but Hunter requires a lot more effort, so it really becomes a question of, do I want to work hard and get this done quickly, or barely work at all, and reach my goal a little more slowly. The choice is yours.

5. Fishing- See above.

Do you want to brag to your friends that you have 99 Hunter? Do you want to get a skill to 99 but you’re on a tight budget? Do you just want to know how to get 99 hunter? If you answered yes to 1 or more of these questions, chances are you will like this article!

Get about 20k
Complete Priest in Peril quest.
Go to Yanille where you will find a hunter shop.
Find your way to the Hunter Shop which is right next to the Magic Guild.
Buy 1 Butterfly net, 5 bird snares, 2 noose wands (1 is a back-up) and 6 box traps. You will also need about 10-20 butterfly jars. You will use all of these on your way to 99 Hunter. If you are willing to make trips you can just get 2 noose ropes and 5 bird snares.
If you are level 1 go to the Varrock museum downstairs and talk to an NPC named Orlando. He should be right next to the staircase you came down. Do what he says and then when you finish you should get level 9 hunter.
Head to the Woodland Hunter area when your hunter is level 9. It is located just south of the Piscatoris Fishing Colony and west of the gnome stronghold.
This may seem boring at first, but when you get 99 you’ll be happy.
Hunt Copper Longtails until it is level 15.
Continue to hunt Copper Longtails, but go with your butterfly net and hunt Ruby Harvests at the same time. When you get to level 20, you can set 2 traps at one time.
Get your hunting level to 29.
Go to the Hunter spot southwest of the bank in Canifis.
Catch swamp lizards. You can set 3 traps when you are level 40.
Do this until Hunter level 47.
When you get to 47 buy desert robes and desert boots, and 14 waterskins(4). Go to the Orange salamanders in the desert. (east of shanty pass place, cross bridge =]) release them all. no one buys them and there are no banks nearby.
At 53 head back to where you caught the Copper Longtails, but this time bring 500gp with you (1k for safety)and 4 BOX TRAPS then enter the fenced off area to the EAST of the Copper Longtails.
Then go to the Chinchompas and catch them.
Once you’ve got 59 hunter, hunt red salamanders.Located South west of East Ardougne.
Catch salamanders until until Hunter 63 (65 if you want faster xp!).
Head to Feldip Hills again, but go to where the screen turns black at the west side.
Set four box traps and the Red Chinchompas will be attracted to the trap. Just like the other Chinchompas, they stack so you can keep them!
Stay here until your level is 99. At 99 you will have caught about 48,000 Red Chinchompas, which you can either use them for Ranged xp or sell them at 600-800 each for a whopping 28.8-38.4m.
If you want the skill cape after you’ve achieved 99 hunter, you can go to feldip. The hunting master will sell you a hunter cape and hood for 99k, and lives in the hut near the red chinchompas.
Always try to get to 99 hunter without taking breaks.
It shall take around two-six weeks to get from level 1 to 99 and for me getting from level 9 to 63 took 4 days so 63 to 99 is a lot harder.
Remember, it’s just a game! Don’t miss out on your social life just to get 99 hunter.
Always stay at least 4 or 5 steps from your trap, as this will make the prey less hard to catch.
Have fun! Hunting is one of the most fun skills to train, and enjoy your 99 Hunting Skill Cape.
If you’re worried about killing chinchompas while hunting, wield a bow or crossbow with out any ammo, it will not let you attack them.
There are many ways to 99 and some may be better than others, but if you are looking for the fastest way, this is it.
You may want to consider wearing Larupia clothes in the Feldip Hills Hunter area to help your chances of making a successful catch.

Runescape-Woodcutting-Basics

Posted by amber

Woodcutting in Runescape is one of the most popular skills in the game. Woodcutting is a skill that costs very little Runescape gold to get started. As a matter of fact you don’t need gold to start woodcutting. All you need is an axe bronze or iron at first and you can make axes with the smelting skill or you can just buy one for a few gold at the market place.
Woodcutting is one of the easiest skills to level in Runescape. All it takes is time and patience to level up this skill. Woodcutting is beneficial in many ways. You can use it to make materials for bows and arrows, witch works on another skill called fletching, or you can use the logs to build up another skill called fire making. Last but not least you can just woodcut to sell logs to people that are working on their fletching skill, though this is not profitable until you are able to cut yew trees. Yew logs sell for 350 gold each.

When a player starts woodcutting the levels increase very fast. I suggest you find trees that are somewhat close to a bank. This way you can just bank the logs you cut and wait until you have a large amount (over a thousand) and decide what you are going to do with them.

One thing to keep in mind while woodcutting, is that you should always get the best axe you can use at that time. Having the best axe will increase the speed at which you cut the logs. Also as you increase levels you can cut different trees. You will want to switch to trees the same way you do axes. As soon as something better is available use until you reach willow trees.

Willows trees are what you are going to train on till level 65. You will want to cut willows because it is very quick experience. I know you can cut maple trees which give more experience per log but it takes longer to cut than willows so you actually make more experience per hour if you cut willows and as a result level up faster.

After you reach level 65 you can move on to cutting yew trees. This is where the money is. I can cut a thousand yews in a few hours and then sell them at the grand exchange for 350k gold or more depending on the demand at the time. Let me warn you yews are a slow process at first but stick with it. It will get better.

Getting level 99 fishing is one of the longest objectives to do, but it is also a rewarding one because it’s a good way to get coins. Reading this article could help you become level 99 in fishing on Runescape.

Non-members Method
Stock up on supplies. You will need 2 small nets, 2 fishing rods, 2 fly fishing rods, fishing bait, feathers, a harpoon, and a lobster cage, you can buy these supplies and more from Port Sarim. Although this sounds like a lot of coins, it is not that expensive.
Fish 40 shrimps. You can find them south of Lumbridge. Shrimps are good because you don’t have to worry about bait or feathers yet because you only need a small net. Continue doing this until your fishing is level 5.
Fish 40 sardines. You can find these fish where you found the shrimps. Now you will be using your fishing rod and fish bait. Do this until your fishing level is 10.
Fish some herrings. Fish in the same area. You will still need your fishing rod and bait. You will still continue to catch sardines at the same time. Continue this until your fishing is level 15.
Fish some anchovies. Get your small fishing net and fish in the same area you were already fishing in. You will catch shrimps when you fish these. Fish these until your fishing level is 20.
Fish 68 trouts. This time you get to go to a different place. Go to Lumbridge River and fish there. You will also use the fly fishing rod and your feathers to catch the fish. Fish for trouts until you fishing level is 25.
Fish 93 pikes. You will still be in Lumbridge River, but you will go back to using your fishing rod and bait. Keep getting the pikes until your fishing level is 30.
Fish some salmon. Don’t be to jumpy to move to another place because you will still be fishing in Lumbridge River. However, you will be using your fly fishing rod and feathers. When fishing salmon, you will also be catching trout at the same time. Do this until your fishing is level 35
Harpoon 186 tuna. This time you will move to a different location; but you will need a lot of money because it takes 60 coins to go to Karamja and back. Also, you won’t need any bait anymore! All you need is a harpoon. Harpoon the the tuna until your fishing is level 40.
Cage 714 lobsters. Now you can start making money off of these types of fish. You will stay on Karamja Dock, but you will be using a lobster cage. Cage these until your fishing is level 50.
Methods such as lobsters, sharks, swordfish are very slow methods to 99. The fastest way (proven) is to complete the Swan Song quest. This enables you to fish monkfish. Monkfish are faster than lobsters and sharks, heal 16, and give more EXP than any other fish in the game. Another alternative, which is commonly used by nonmembers is to fly-fish from the earliest moment possible to the moment you reach level 99. It is one of the fastest ways to gain experience.
You may want an iPod, MP3 player, or music on your computer because fishing can get boring at times.
Another way to fight boredom is to chat with the other people who are fishing near you.
If you want to make more money while fishing, sell the fish raw. Raw fish often sell for higher than cooked fish.
You shouldn’t have any items that you don’t need when you fish. You’ll need to go to the bank/cook more often
Join a clan; RuneScape has recently added a clan chat feature, and there are surely other people as bored as you that may wish to chat.
Multitask while doing this. For example, play another game, or do homework.
Check your character often. You don’t want to be killed or teleported by a random event stay where you are when the fishing spot moves, or stay there with a full inventory.
Watch for whirlpools and big fish. They’ll snatch your equipment.
If you have done Shilo Village Quest, then fish there until you want to fish for something higher; you can also lvl 4-5 levels per day, which makes it the perfect place to fish for levels.
You can also feed the fish to your cat.

Thieving-Skill-Guide

Posted by amber

If you think fishing and runecrafting is boring, you obviously haven’t spent several hours thieving!

Seriously though, thieving isn’t as boring as you think it is. Plus of course, it’s an instant money making skill. You don’t have to spend money buying things you need just to level it. Unless of course you buy food, although I don’t recommend it. There’s an easier way…..keep reading!

To start, you will need to pickpocket the “Man”. Those are everywhere, so it’s not really a problem. In fact, I never paid for trips to and from Karamja when I needed to go there. I just pickpocketed the man around the docks for my trip money. See? Not boring at all, and something that can be worked on very slowly to start out with.

Farmers were next on the list of things I would pickpocket, usually when I was waiting for seeds in a near by farming patch. Farming proves to be a nice matching skill for Thieving. Especially when your level is higher and your seed rewards are better.

When I wasn’t stealing seeds from the local farmers, I was in Ardougne stealing cake from the stalls. This is not only nice experience (when standing out of the line of the guards), but good food to stash for when your thieving higher level people who hit harder. Keep a stash for later, or come back here for “thieving food”.

If you are interested in the H.A.M gear, I suggest going underground just behind the Lumbridge castle to pickpocket them at level 20. If you don’t really care, skip them and keep pickpocketing anything above until 27.

At 27 is when your pickpocketing skill start to pay off if you are a farmer. The Draynor Village seed stall is an easy walk from a near by vegetable farming patch, so you can swipe some more seeds to plant while waiting for others to grow. The selection of seeds you get isn’t too bad, but it does get better with master farmers at level 38. Don’t forget those cakes when you go to pickpocket him!

Have you ever known someone who had all kinds of great stuff, and you didn’t know how they got it? Well, it’s a safe bet to guess they’ve done some begging in their time, while they probably won’t admit it. While not the most honorable skill, sometimes people are just waiting to give someone some of their valuable junk.

Join a member’s world. This really works the best if you are a member on a members’ world. You can still try it as a free player, but the results are less likely to be successful
Go into a bank, any bank will do. The best ones are in Argougne, Edgeville, and sometimes the Taverly dungeon bank
Go into a spot where most people can see you, Wear the best clothes or armor that you have.
Empty most of your inventory into the bank so you have room if someone gives you a lot of items
Having done all that, say “does anyone have any members items i can have?” “I’m a new member” and “I’d never forget it.”
Never say “plz” since many people find that incredibly annoying.
Beg for a little bit, and if no one responds, then stop.
If begging doesn’t work (or if people respond badly, as they most often do) you should use some easy steps to make money:
Kill some goblins or men and take their money and bones. Sell the bones at the GE.
Kill cows and sell their bones and cowhides on the GE.
Collect spawned items and sell them on the GE.
Mine ore and sell it on the GE.
There are many other ways to make money that are just as easy as begging and won’t make you look like begging scum to the rest of the Runescape community.
People occasionally pity you if you say “I’m a new member…”
When someone gives you something, be ecstatic about it even if you know it’s not that great. “Tyvm!!” “Tysm!!” “You are so nice!:)”.
People filter in and out of the bank.
Don’t be obnoxious at all costs - it’s bad enough you’re begging, don’t make it worse.

Getting to level 99 in Runescape is not impossible nor is it a hard task, ranging is just time consuming. This guide will explain a simple and easy way for Runescape p2p members to achieve this goal. I can not give an approximate length of time on how long it will take to get to level 99 ranging due to several factors like not everyone plays the same amount of time. Just like anything else the more you work at it the faster, easier and more rewarding it becomes.

Keep in mind that getting to level 99 can be very monotonous and one can become bored and even burn out on the task at hand. Make sure you take breaks from ranging and do something else that way you don’t become very bored with it and not want to do it anymore. Pace yourself and it will pay off.

From level one ranging to level twenty you will need a plain short bow an oak short bow and a willow short bow. The reason I say short bow and not long bow is because of he speed difference. When both the long bow and short bow are on rapid the short bow shoots the arrows at a speedier rate. You will also need bronze arrows. Yes bronze and lots of them. Bronze arrows are the cheapest arrow in the game. You do not need to worry about the expensive arrows until a much higher ranging level is acquired.

Now for the monsters! This is where the task becomes repetitive. You need to kill the men and women and the goblins in and around lumbridge until you are range level twenty. When you reach level 5 ranging you can switch to the oak short bow. At level 20 you can start to use the willow short bow. A money saving tip is to retrieve your arrows once you have killed a monster. It may take a few more seconds between kills but its well worth it because of the money you will save.

From level twenty to level forty you will need lots of bronze arrows. You will also need your willow short bow, a maple short bow and a yew short bow. The monsters to train on are the level 10 dwarfs that are between Falador and Varrock. You can still train on the men and women if you prefer to. Once you get to level thirty you can use the willow short bow. When you hit level 40 switch to the yew short bow.
