Runecrafting:

Posted by runescape

Runecrafting in non members is a pretty hard task, because until a high level, produces no profit. The main profit is in multiple rune crafting.
Airs - Double (11) - Triple (22) - Quad (33) - x5 (44) - x6 (55) - x7 (66) - x8 (77) - x9 (88) - x10 (99)
Airs are the best multiple rune crafting. 28 Essence will cost about 1k, and with double, you’ll be making about 1k (Since ess sells at 40 ea, and airs at 20 ea). Triple you’ll make 1.5k, quad 2k, x5 2.5k, etc.
NOTE: A great way to do this is to get a TON of ess and cash, black robes, then go to world 16. Go into the air alter, and scream “[name] Open, cash!”. People will trade you 28 essense unnoted for 28 noted ess and 2k. Seems like a bad way of money making, and is until a higher level. When you hit x5 (lv 44) you break even making airs. At x6 you start making 28 air profit every time (if selling airs at 20 each). As you get higher, you’ll get more and more extra air runes. I’ve seen people make millions off of this way, it works very good when you get to the high levels.

Fletching is a skill that puts logs to good use. It allows you to both make arrows and bows, both items unique to those who wish to excel in the Range skill. Making bows is actually one of easiest ways of level up the skill, as making full arrows requires you to take multiple steps and gather multiple resources (although, in cases, it is worth doing).

If you’re a member, grab a knife (which can be bought from any general store or found at the 1st floor of the Varrock general store), a hatchet (also known as an axe) and take it to any populated forest (I’m talking about populated with trees, not people!). Then, just mindlessly walk round cutting down trees, and using the knife on them to make arrow shafts. Once you hit the required level, start cutting short bows, and then long bows.

Once you can cut yew bows, it’s also a good idea to string them as well, as half the experience per full bow is gained through cutting its shape, and half the experience is gained through stringing it. To string a bow, you’ll need to sheer sheep (or wherever they are) for wool, and then use that wool on a spinning wheel to make balls of string. Use these balls of string with the unstrung yew bows, and there you have it, a complete, strung bow.

Some also go a stage further, and use magic in order to make money from yew bows. “Magic, to make money?” I hear you say. Yes. Magic to make money; it’s called High-Level Alchemy. Grab yourself the appropriate staff, nature runes, and whatever else you’ll need, and start using high-level alchemy on those yew bows and watch ‘em convert to gold before your very eyes. The major reason people do this is not really to make money, as nature runes cost about as much as the yew bows convert for, it’s actually to gain magic experience, so whether or not you want to take it this step further is up to you.

That’s it. I’ve taught you most of the ways people make serious money. Remember, at the end of the day, Runescape is only a game, so enjoy it too.

Now, if you do this properly, you can make quite a bit. Notice I’m not saying hundreds of thousands or millions. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re selling sharks or lobsters outside the Wilderness then you probably will be able to hit those targets, but not if your just selling good, standard, wholesome foods like you would if you were a low level cook, your much less likely to hit those types of numbers.

Selling food this way is actually a lot more fun than mining coal, or chopping wood. I’ve always found cooking much more variable and enjoyable than hitting rocks and trees; so maybe you’ll like it a lot, and make some nice cash out of it.

I’m now going to speak a bit about Runescape Gold Merchants, and how you can have a headstart when trying to make money through techniques such as merchanting. Now, if you don’t have the initial investment for merchanting, a good idea which you might want to take on is to buy the GP to start off your merchanting career. Buy GP you say? Yes, buy gold pieces, for real money. A lot of sites offer GP for sale, just go to Google and type in “Buying Runescape Gold” and you’ll be bombarded with a list of sites that do this. You could probably buy your first million for pretty cheap, and then use that million in merchanting to make much, much more.

If you really want to, once you make a lot, (millions), you might want to sell it back to one of these sites (most of the time these sites also buy GP off people) and make real cash out of it. There’s a whole article on that on this blog already, so find it, and check it out -:)

There are a lot of people out there, who have no idea how to make money, and how to become filthy rich in Runescape; but with anything, it takes time and effort, there is no quick-fire way of making millions in Runescape; it’s not the lottery after all! Finally, I’m going to speak about fletching, I’ve left this till last as it is a members-only skill, and so not all of you can benefit from it. Fletching is a basic skill at first. You just run around forests, cutting down trees, and making them into arrow shafts; wow-wee, so exciting, but then once you hit a few more levels up, it suddenly gets interesting -:)

monsters who can deal quite a bit of damage (not just the 1 hit and occasional 2 hits you can take off a goblin). These fighters need quick HP boosts, and so Sharks are just the answers.

Sharks are hard to fish, but just think about it. If you spend your time, trying to fish and cook 1,000 sharks, but the end of it, you’ll have sharks equivalent to 1,000,000GP (1 mill). Good, yes?

Ok, so maybe it’ll take you too long to get to that kinda level. Alright, alright, let me explain to you a few easier ways of making your money in Runescape.

Right, now that you’ve had the major ways of making GP, there are also ways for people who are relatively inexperienced, and don’t have high levels in any major skill. If this is the case, then I suggest resorting to selling food. “Selling food?!” you say? Yes. Have you ever been to the Wilderness? Have you seen all the hungry, dying people? Thought you’d say yes. Well, they all need food for fightin’, so it would be wise of you to supply that demand for food now wouldn’t it?

The reason why I say you don’t need much level for this is because there are people who are just about any level fighting in the Wilderness. So, no matter if you’ve just got cooked meat, or lobsters, you’ll still be able to sell it off if the price is right. Remember, that because you’re providing food just a step outside of the Wilderness, you can charge inflated prices, but don’t go too far with your prices, people can just go to to Varrock east bank and buy some lobsters from local lobster sellers down there.

When I say inflated prices, I mean you can get away with charging more than double what it’s worth. For example, if I were to fish and cook a load of lobsters, they would usually in any other place be worth around 150-200GP each, but the fact that your outside the Wilderness means you can charge more, so you could get away with charging 300-400GP each if they’re desperate.

I suggest you find a food that isn’t too hard to cook, and replenishes a good amount of HP. Normally, a type of fish is good for this, but if you can’t be bothered to get your fishing level up, then stick with something simple, meat stew maybe?

Map to find a location that’s near the bank for efficient depositing, and has a good amount of coal rocks, along with a few people there). It’s always difficult mining the right mining spot, I’ve even resorted to using the Lumbridge swamp mines which is no where near the bank (closest bank being in Edgeville). I had to resort to mining a full set of coal, and then teleporting to Edgeville bank in order to deposit. Then running back to the mining area, mining, and then repeating the process. Now there are obviously big disadvantages with doing this, one, you’ll need a high magic level in order to teleport, two, you’ll need the runes to teleport, and normally these cost quite a bit, and three, you’ll have to carry the runes in your inventory, thus taking up space where you could have put some coal.

If your level 60, then you should obviously be mining coal in the Miners’ Guild. This is an awesome place, packed full of coal rocks, and a few mithril rocks too. Seriously, it’s one of the best places for coal, and I’m not just saying that. The closest bank is VERY close (Falador east bank), and it takes a very short time for you to mine a full set of coal, and then deposit it. You can definitely mine a good supply of coal like this, whilst all the other options for mining coal take a lot of patience and endurance, this one takes very little.

One last major way of making a lot of GP, and then we’ll move onto the lesser ways of making some pocket money -:) . Right, now we’re going to explore the world of fishing. Fishing, unlike common belief, is a very, very good way of making a lot of money. Fishing and cooking lobsters is a way some people make money (if your a member and can access the Fishing Guild, then this is made for you). If your member, then you’re in luck. If your a high fishing level, then you get the chance to fish Sharks (best place would probably be Catherby, the good ol’ fishing city). Sharks are one of the best foods available in Runescape, and are worth around about 1,000GP each when cooked. These are very valuable to fighters with high-combat levels, as they tend to fight strong..

Cutting yews is just one of the many ways of making some serious GP in Runescape. You’ve also got the commonly used merchanting.

Merchanting is about arbitrage; buying low, and selling high. All you really have to do is again, identify an item with demand, and play with that demand a little; taking your profit from the difference between how much you bought the time for, and how much you sold it for later on.

Let me give you a good example of an item that is commonly merchanted for cash.

Coal is an ore that is needed in all high-level metal smelting, from steel onwards. That’s what makes it’s demand so huge, and thus, it makes it a good item to merchandise in. Here is an example of what you could do with coal:

Buy 1000 coal for 120,000GP (people don’t usually sell coal in bulk for that cheap, so it may be a good idea to buy coal in small groups of numerous people instead of trying to buy it cheap, in bulk, off one person).

Sell 1000 coal for 170,000GP (it would sell fast at that rate, if your looking for a little more, you could probably push it to 180,000GP).

You’re left with 50,000GP profit -:)
Yea, I know, I’ve made it sound so simple, but the fact of the matter is, once you get the buying and selling prices right, you can just keep repeating the process and just keep making GP!

Another major way of making money is through our good old friend: mining. Mining is a skill that takes quite a lot of time and effort to level up, especially once you hit around level 60 mining. Then, it turns into a real slog to get higher and higher. Now, like I said before, coal has MASSIVE demand, and if you want to directly supply this demand instead of playing around with it like in merchanting, then this is the one for you. Get to around level 50 mining, coal will become a little easier for you then. It’s always actually best to do this at around level 60 mining because then you can go to the miners’ guild where coal mining gets a lot easier.

If your level 50, then find a good mining spot for coal (there are quite a few, check the world…

Runescape is a massive multiplayer online RPG, and it’s grown tremendously over the past few years. It’s become so popular that it always has in excess of 140,000 people playing at one time, and has millions of members. It’s a very addictive Java game, and it’s totally online, so no need to download large files as such and go through a boring installation process. If you’re not familiar with Runescape, give it a go, we’ve got loads of articles on this blog that can help you out getting started and becoming familiar with Runescape.

Runescape’s currency is GP – short for gold pieces. It’s the standard currency for any medieval-style RPG. Like in reality, making lots of money is a challenge many like to rise to, and, in Runescape, it’s no different. People strive to make millions of gold pieces in Runescape, and you’ve got GP traders all across the Internet; places where you can actively buy Runescape GP! Yep, it’s become a big market, and ever-growing, and if you can get into it properly, you can actually make quite a bit of dosh yourself (not GP, but real money).

This has been the most common question in all of Runescape, and it’s pretty simple to answer if you ask someone who’s played Runescape long enough to figure out that there’s demand for a few certain materials that can bring you a lot of GP. For example, the demand for Yew Logs is always massive, along with the demand for certain runes, food, and smithing materials. Yep, it’s all to play for in Runescape – there’s ALWAYS demand.

There are many in Runescape who try to sell just about anything, and usually it’s utter crap. Pots, spades, all these small items; it’s just not going to make you a lot of money if any, the best thing to do if find a demand in an item that you can harvest/produce, and take advantage of that. I’ll give you an example.

If you log into World 1, you’ll see hundreds of people outside Varrock west bank. If you just walk around a bit, you’ll realise that there’s actually massive demand for Yew Logs. Now, let’s take advantage of it. Start woodcutting, start from basic trees, move onto oak, then willow, and then when you think you’re ready, move onto cutting yews. Yew logs go anywhere from 200-350GP each, and considering you can get them by just clicking on a tree, that’s quite a lot.

Runescape Hacks

Posted by runescape

Runescape is one of the most popular massively multiplayer online role playing games ever in the history of gaming. Never has a game such as Runescape taken the world completely by storm and managed to make such a huge impact on the gaming scene. Such is the popularity of Runescape that the online gaming community all over the world has not stopped raving about this game since the day of its introduction. Runescape has found such a large degree of acceptance over the world and the ten million and more users are ample testament to this fact. Runescape is set in a fantasy world and a user has to take control of a single individual character and has to complete a whole host of challenges and quest in order to progress through the levels and also to develop the character thoroughly.

Hacks and cheats are common in the world of gaming through the last couple of decades and these hacks and cheats keep on multiplying with each and every day that passes. Hacks and cheats are at times the most searched things on major search engines for Runescape. However there is one thing that has to be kept in mind by a lot of people who are looking to find cheats and hacks for Runescape but the thing that they always seem to forget is that the core software of Runescape is one of the safest and one of the strongest in the world of gaming.

There is not a single Runescape hack that can work inside the core system of Runescape. One thing which does not help hackers and Runescape hacks from working is that Runescape is a totally browser based game and the user does not download any software or files for this particular software. Due to this there are absolutely no files or programs which can be altered or hacked and the Jagex security team has a very foolproof security model which prevents Runescape hacks from working.

There are various web sites which offer a variety of Runescape hacks but it is highly improbable that any of these hacks work and most of the times these hacks are highly well planned scams where the web site requests an individual to give out his Runescape user id and password and the user finds out that his Runescape account has been hacked or has simply disappeared from the Runescape servers or has been sold on another web site. One thing that people who are hunting for Runescape hacks have to accept is that none of the hacks they find are going to make an impact on the game and there is a very slim chance that the strong core software lets in an unidentified program and thus almost no Runescape hacks which are advertised on the web sites as being highly potent ever work. One very good thing to protect one’s account from these Runescape hacks scams is to never give out the username and the password of a Runescape account. People who are found trying to tinker or force a way into Runescape servers are usually served with legal lawsuits and thus it is not a very good idea to hack into Runescape servers or look for Runescape hacks.

Runescape Stat Trainer

Posted by runescape

Most of the times when people search for a Runescape Stat Trainer, what they are actually looking for is some sort of cheat which will do the work for them. These cheats are there and are very easy to find and Jagex bans thousands of accounts for using the cheats. Also there are people who want other people to work for them so that they will pay them as per the experience earned and also have their accounts trained by someone else. The most interesting part of it is that most of the times these account trainers uses cheats to do their work and in the process get their accounts banned. The most important aspect of it is that you should train the account yourself. You must think about it. You are not using any cheats; you are not cheating and risking the banning of accounts, or a stat trainer who, in the end steals your account. But the most important part of it is the feeling of satisfaction that you did the stats yourself. It is a sort of sense of accomplishment.

If you choose to cheat while playing not just this game but any game then you will actually lose the fun of playing the game online. You can just think if it for a second. Of everyone cheated at the Runescape, then there is bound to be a champion and if the champion beats you, you will be at a loss of loosing the fun of the game and also you’ll loose the faith in yourself because you have been beaten by someone else. Would it be fun in the smallest sense? Nope it wouldn’t be, because you will have all your stats shaped up till 99 but then there will be others also. You will also have the entire item you ever wanted or even all the items on Runescape, but hey! All the other would have them also. Some of them may use the items better than you can and then bet you to it. Training your stats without any cheating and it will increase the level further of the game. Also there will be no killing of your opponents as everyone will have everything and you will not be able to kill anyone.

Here are some of the tips so that you can train your stats more efficiently:

• If you have set a certain level as a goal for yourself then just keep that level in mind, don’t do anything else before you have the level. If you stop training then it will be a long time before you start training again.
• Always stay positive. If you think you can do it, then you can do it.
• You also have the option of breaking you goals into a number of smaller goals which will help you achieve your goals faster than usual.
• Also the most important aspect of war as well as the game is never give up.

When you train the stats yourself and then attain the ultimate level of 99, you will have the utmost satisfaction of completing the game and you’ll be more than happy.

Runescape is not just a game about collecting and trading items. Its real excitement for many players is when they can wear the armor they bought and fight with their new sword. However when you are in the regular Runescape areas you can only fight NPC monsters. These are not real Runescape players, therefore they are often easy to defeat. The real challenge and fun is when you go to the Runescape wilderness. Here players are allowed to attack and kill each other. This is referred to as Runescape PKing a.k.a. Runescape Player Killing.

Runescape Wilderness & PKing 101

The wilderness is obviously a dangerous place. When you get killed you lose all the Runescape items and gold you have on you. So some basic tips and explanations are probably welcome. Before you decide to go to the Wilderness be sure to drop by the bank and deposit as much of the items and gold you don’t need. The good thing about Pking is that there are some restrictions on it that give you a fair chance. When you go to the wilderness not everyone can just attack you. It is divided into 50 levels, the further you go into the wilderness the higher the level increases. What does this mean? If you are a player of level 55 and you are in level 2 other players of level 48 till 52 can attack you. If you are level 10 this is from level 40 to 60 etc… So be careful not to go to deep into the Runescape wilderness because Runescape PKing becomes more and more dangerous.

Who to PK and who not to PK

In Runescape you have three types of fighters; you have Runescape warriors, Runescape mages and Runescape rangers.

If you are a Runescape mage go after warriors. As a mage you are light, can move fast and attack from great distances. When you are a warrior you have heavy armor and therefore move slow. When you engage in PKing you need to close to your enemy and with mages that is almost impossible, they are just to quick. They are able to stay and attack from a great distance meaning they often get no damage to them when fighting a warrior.

If you are a Runescape ranger then it’s smartest to attack mages. You are also light, you can also move around quickly and you can also attack from distance. This means that all the advantages a mage has over a warrior you also have over a mage. The most important advantage you will have and that is your key point of how you will defeat mages and that is your dragonhide armor. This Runescape armor deflects of the spells of mages and limits the damage they can do to you.

If you are a Runescape warrior go after the rangers. The rangers armor is an advantage to them when Runescape PKing mages but it is to weak against the weapons of a warrior. Since you will be wearing strong armor the rangers arrows barely deal out any damage. When you go after the rangers be sure to hit them hard and often.

Runescape PKing Clans and Teams

If you want to optimize your success in PKing and minimize the chance you are defeated you should join a Runescape PKing clan or team. This will allow you to travel in packs to the Runescape Wilderness multi-zones. The multi-zones are areas where multiple players are allowed to attack one player. If you are alone be sure not to end up here (unless you are of a very high level). Be sure to team up with about 6/8 people; a few mages, a few rangers and a lot of warriors. Make sure you have agreed upfront on what your strategy will be, stay in good contact through the chat and then find a victim to PK. Using this method it will be easy to defeat other players but don’t forget to fairly divide the profits.
