Getting to the Chicken Farm

The map below shows the location of the chicken farm in relation to Lumbridge which is the starting town. You can of course kill any chickens and there are lots of places to find them in the game, but this is the easiest one to get to if you’re just starting out and the chickens respawn really fast here.

Just follow the path north from Lumbridge and you can’t miss the farm as the chickens wander around on the road outside it.

Killing the Chickens

The chickens are really easy to kill, even at level 1, no matter what combat skills you specialize in. You’ll probably get some skills raised as you do this which means you’ll get faster at it the more chickens you kill.

Collecting the Feathers

One thing I found when doing this is that there were many other people also killing the chickens but leaving the feathers behind! I guess they hadn’t read this guide To speed up the process, make sure you keep an eye out for anyone who leaves the feathers lying around. Here is a picture of what they look like in the game:

Other Things to Collect While Killing Chickens

As well as feathers, chickens also drop bones and raw chicken. Pick up the bones and then click on them from your inventory in order to raise your prayer skill.

You might also want to cook the chicken to give yourself some cooked food which can restore your health. To do this, go outside of the farm and find the nearby trees. Chop down some trees to get some wood and then make a camp sire with your Tinder box. Cook the chicken on the campfire.
