Hello all. Well I have a pretty simple discussion topic. Pvp worlds, faliure or success? Did Pvp worlds accomplish everything we hoped it would? Some of these things include stabilizing the RS economy, bringing back an enjoyable pvp game, bring some old players back to the game, and just simply adding more fun to the game (obviously some of these things will take some time to determine)? Also how do you guys think Jagex did with creating Pvp worlds? Did they make the worlds everything the players wanted them to be? A place where people can both skill and kill?

I think it’s still way too early to come to such conclusions. PvP worlds were only released less than 5 days ago. The economy doesn’t stabilize itself in 5 days, nor does the community. Don’t sell the bear’s hide before you shoot the bear.

 

I agree with you here. It is impossible to make an accurate assessment of the entire update before letting some time pass.

The wild wasn’t established in a few days. When it was first released, the majority of pkers took a major fit and got upset with Jagex removing the old style of pking. It was disliked for a fair time, until people finally adapted and learned how to live with it. After a few years, it became extremely popular, and beloved. You can’t just judge based on first impressions. I’m sure that when people understand this new update a little better, and Jagex makes a few tweaks, everything will be fine.

It’s only been out for what 5 days? I have barely gotten to try it out yet, but from what I’ve heard it has its up’s and downs. People believe that the drops you get after a killing people with very hard items(Godswords etc), isn’t really the best. Honestly it is quit fun, I always felt like re-creating the Falador Massacre, and pking in Varrock isn’t all to bad. I’m not going to rate it for now, there is way to much I haven’t bothered to try out yet.

 

I think the Pvp worlds are pretty cool. I always wanted to PK anywhere around RS and not only in the scary black wildy.
And even though the drop system is pretty stupid, there’s no penalty timer and it owns BH.
I don’t know what else to say i like PvP worlds better than BH or old wildy.

 

I did tons of training in the wild (rarely pked) and at least half the time I’d PM my killer and offer to buy my stuff back at market price. They almost always agreed and we parted none the worse.
